This place just won sandwiches. It says it on their menu: From Scratch. So you know its amazing. Cozy atmosphere with super friendly staff. They have gluten free bread if youre into that (scratch from a local bakery), plus delicious potato salad (if you like avocado, youre welcome), and kombucha floats. Yes, kombucha floats, made with ice cream, raspberries, pistachios, cocoa nibs, and been pollen for a kick of sweet. Holy bajeezus.

I love this place to death! Honestly the best, and healthiest, place Ive ever visited in San Diego. I love the atmosphere at Big Thyme and not only is the staff there very pleasent, the owner is very personable and caring towards every customer who walks through his doors. I highly recommend this place to anyone whos looking for a restaurant thats just as loyal as you are.

Do not use for large orders! I placed an order for 15 people at 11:15 to be delivered at 12:30. Order was 30 minutes late and was missing several items. Sandwiches are good and Big Thyme gave us 2 cookies and a drink as an apology- but I still doesnt make up for 3 people not having any food.

I really wanted to like this place, but everything was expensive which i kinda understand for a small business but all i ordered was a coffee and it took nearly 10 min. (I was the only one in there). And once i finally got my coffee it was UNdrinkable. Very disappointed

We made our way here when we visited Chula Vista and was not disappointed in our choices. The menu seemed bigger online and Im wondering if its by location. Its much smaller than I thought and I wish there were seats to eat at, but the sandwiches made it all worth it.

YO. Simply the BEST sandwich place I ever been to. What they do is art. We found them accidentally with my family and couldnt believe how good their sandwiches are. I highly recommend it to anyone. The stuff and the environment is also super friendly and helpful!

Outstanding atmosphere and even better sandwiches. We had the 47 and the cubano and bar far one of our favorite sandwich places in San Diego. Also good pricing for the size and quality. Will return to try to rest of the menu!

Good ingredients, good sandwich. Not a good price and its just not a good location. If it was 2 bucks cheaper I would eat there all the time. Also its closed on the weekends which is usually when I would go.

Excellent food. They know how to season the chicken so it is absolutely delicious. Best french fries we have ever had (and we are very picky). Really nice and welcoming people that make you feel at home.
