Date of visit: 3/26/17 My mom and I opted to stop by here after our massages at Paradise Point spa. This is your typical resort bar with typical resort prices, so dont expect to get a great deal here. However, you are paying for a really nice view of Mission Bay while you eat. Since it is a resort, you will have a lot of families with kids dining here as well, but we were lucky and didnt have any screaming kids, which made our short visit nicer. Since we decided that we were going to grab dinner somewhere else, we opted to share the Honey Ginger Shrimp appetizer and margarita. As I mentioned before, the prices here are pretty steep, so for $16 we got 4 shrimp. They were a decent size though, so I guess that made up for the price, but I was still baffled at $4 per shrimp. The dish itself was definitely decent and well balanced. To offset the greasiness of the fried shrimp, they were served on top of a mango/cabbage salad. The margarita was just okay - I think it was about $10, but I can get a $3 margarita at one of my favorite happy hour spots, which tastes way better, so I was a little disappointed by the drink. Overall, Barefoot Bar & Grill is an okay place to go if youre a Paradise Point and need something to eat. They had a nice selection of hamburgers and sandwiches that looked good and the drinks were decent. Just be prepared to pay resort prices (since you are in a resort).

This place was good at one point I took my family and my in laws for dinner there and it was a total dissapointmemt you can not order a pizza from the spot inside the dam restaurant and sit outside for some reason!!! The server was really rude and knowing that we where a big party table made us move inside and she took for ever to serve us. Then when the bill came just for 5 of us that we actually ate from the restaurant the bill was 187.00... witch included a $26.00 gratuity (tip) for the server!!! When I told her that why was this tip included she replied that since we where a big party thats automatic in their system even tho more than half of our party was self attended at the pizza place. I told her that I think your not in title for that tip and she replied if Im sorry and took my credit card!!! So dam rude!!! Going to not recommend this place for such a bad experience!!!

Atmosphere was welcoming. The service was excepional. We are drinkers. The reason I say this , The drinks were very good . 9 on the 1-10 scale . Soup and appetizers, Bread plate scrummy. Main course Disaster. Salmon dry catch of the day was so dry it held together like a rubber sole. I picked it up and waved it for our waitress. . When you go to a fish reasturant and the best item on the menu is beef? The party of four eat and drank for @$ 180.00 I personally would return for cocktails . L.Rossi.

Have been here for dinner several times and now for the first time for breakfast. The chips and salsa is fantastic as was the calamari. I had the Up In Smoke eggs Benedict and it was fantastic! My friend had the pumpkin oatmeal which looked and smelled deceptively delicious but the actual taste was not very good and quite bland. If youre staying at the resort, its worth a visit especially later in the day. The happy hour menu and drinks are great, and the view cant be beat.

Went there on a Thursday, place looked packed but once we sat down. (I was there with 2 other girlfriends) we realized they werent so busy. Waiter came over and we ordered drinks, 15 min. later, still no drinks. We decided to leave figuring if thats how the service for drinks was then imagine the food? and we were very hungry. Nice atmosphere, but if you are planning on going plan on watching the employees standing around chatting while you just wait. We wont be going back.

Gorgeous view from the patio. The food was reasonably priced ($15 for a huge burger with fries). Chicken burger was an actual breast of chicken not some manufactured patty. Fish dishes were $25 to $30. My wife had the salmon which she raved about. Calamari was pretty good; $13 for a large portion with 2 amazing dips. They have draft craft beers which is a nice touch. Super friendly service. I am surprised at some of the other reviews because we had no complaints.

Pretty cool little waterfront bar that you can sail to if youre boating in Mission Bay. Its really the only spot to stop that has any kind of "destination" feel when youre out on the water. So, thats neat. They also have Ballast Point Gin for cocktails which is awesome. Service was average and the food was okay. The prices were a little steep, but we only stopped in because they have a dock. So, without much options, you just treat it like a vacation.

We had e never ending story!!!! The waittime was over 45 minutes just for breakfast. Many other families that joined after us got served before us. We also havent seen our server for a long time, maybe he went sleeping for a while. While youre waiting, you can watch the birds eating the rest of the bad food the other families left behind if youre interested. And actually when the food came, it wasnt hot. The only good thing is the location.

Good view but bad food. Service wasnt terrible but definitely short handed and you could tell, you would think that they would staff more for a busy Sunday. Honestly the 3 is for the view and atmosphere, could have had a better meal for cheaper at Dennys. Quality of the food is NOT gourmet, the alcoholic beverages were not bad but expensive considering the smaller sizes you actually get. If I was rating on food alone it would be a 1 star.

Came back after hearing they were under new management. The food was good and the service was nice. Glad to see they turned it around. (My old one star review follows...) waited over half an hour and never saw our server. (despite asking several staff members) I cant comment on the food, because we never got any. Avoid this place unless you like sitting around, not having dinner while the staff avoids making eye contact with you.

Fun place on the bay waterfront with live bands on the weekends. Food quality / taste / options are okay and a little overpriced, but youre paying for the atmosphere and location. Theres a boat dock right in front and allow you to dock up while at the restaurant, which is the only one in Mission Bay and thats the reason I come here. Although, I find myself enjoying the food and atmosphere better at Tidal restaurant next door.

We stopped by for a beer and a snack. The beer was cheap and delicious. We also enjoyed a short rib flat bread, which was pretty good. The menu pricing seemed a little inconsistent and the $10 chips and salsa was really weird, but other than that, decent prices for a resort. They also have a pond with different types of fish and even leopard sharks. You can watch them while you eat!

FANTASTIC place! If you can handle 100+ people for a work function on top of regular customers then you are a 5 star place in my book. Open air along the bay. The staff was remarkably friendly even though the bar was staying open later for our event. Drinks were awesome, and they were fast and efficient. Anyone staying at the resort should check this place out. Its epic.
