Service was lackluster here, the coffee overpriced and the atmosphere uncomfortable. The staff was snobbish when everyday requests were made of them (price info, condiment restocking, etc), which is inexcusable. The drink I ordered was gimmicky, overpriced and luke-warm upon delivery, and my request for a hot drink was refused. This business should pack up and make storefront available to those who actually intend to earn an honest living.

Steamers used to be better, probably under previous management. Theyve removed roast beef from the menu and are now substituting plastic cutlery for what was steel, yet the prices are a bit higher than they used to be. To me, this is the point where it becomes more fast food like. If and when they go to baskets and paper wrappers, Im saying so long to Steamers.

This place wasnt so great. Yes, my plummeting blood sugar rose but it took 45 minutes to serve us. The food was portioned small compared to prices and they forgot our drinks, ketchup etc. Brought only half our food and we had to track them down for the rest. Disappointed. Wont return. Next time hitting up the fish and chips across the street!

If you want a great cup of coffee, this may not be the best place. The barista didnt clean out the portafilter before adding new grounds so I received a double shot of espresso with used grounds in it, and of course that means it was terribly bitter. Biscuits and gravy were pretty good though

This place turns Old Town Sacramento into a regular stop. I walk over here for a coffee at least three times a week, and their food is DELICIOUS too. Super fresh, super sacramento homey, and amazing service. Btw, you should definitely try the white mocha. Best in town.

Their clam chowder is to die for. The first time I tried it was excellent. Tried it again and it was even better. They even put pieces of bacon on the top yummy. The price of it is a little much but when you are licking the spoon and bowl it is so worth it.

Very cozy atmosphere. They staff was very attentive and friendly. Even during the Christmas tree lighting downtown, while is was crazy busy, the staff was very professional, friendly, and helpful! They had amazing hot cocoa and even better Giant cookies!

Bit of a pain to get to if you arent already downtown. Heard locals say good things about the breakfast, but was told it lasted till noon when in reality its over at 11am. Good prices for things like a yummy Salmon BLT or a fried chicken sandwich.

Excellent casual, no fuss breakfast spot. They serve locally roasted beans and freshly prepared dishes with quality ingredients at reasonable prices. It can get busy, but service always comes with a friendly smile, even when theyre multitasking.

It must have been their first day on the job. The manager was talking to an employee while we waited at the register for a couple of minutes and nobody now just or even said hold on a moment even know we were staring right at them and starving....

Food is OK but it takes us about 4 times to get what the 6 of us had ordered - it was crowded during the gold rush days. Why I didnt like: they charge us more than the normal price and cheat with the tip on the receipt.

The pumpkin latte was advertised as having real pumpkin in it but when I asked the cashier if that is true she said they ran out of pumpkin so they use pumpkin syrup. It was the worst pumpkin latte Ive ever tried.
