The food here is always fresh and good because the owners also run a grocery and seafood store. The dim sum is great, they have the basics and usually something more interesting like shrimp balls covered in sticky rice, mashed taro and meat, buns stuffed with sweet rice. Sometimes theyre a little short staffed. The prices are reasonable. Favorites besides dim sum: Shrimp Yee Mein - chewy noodles with nice big shrimp, yellow chive and strawhead mushroom Short Ribs with Black Pepper sauce = tender enough for my toddler to eat (theres a bit of gristle around the rib bone, but thats how short ribs are, like Korean Kal Bi) Peking Spare Ribs - So if were in the mood for something sweeter than the short ribs, its this. Spare rib bones are longer, so eating them is a bit messier Whatever fresh green vegetable of the day - so the owners also run a market and have some nice dark greens. Its usually written on the board next to the waiting area. Sometimes its A choy, sometimes its big pea sprouts, whatever it is theyll stir fry it and it will be tender and delicious.

Ive got to say, this was one of the best Chinese restaurants Ive ever eaten at. The service is a bit slow, but while sitting with a family, you can just talk together while sipping a warm cup of tea, enjoying the atmosphere. By the time the food arrives, you can forget about the wait and just revel in the beautiful taste of the food. Im just sad that its closed now, as Ive been going there with my family since I was born and we were friends with the owners.

I waited 30 min before I was attended to and had to rush a waitress to do so. She was taking someone elses order who has just been seated. I know its the lunch rush, so Im not expecting perfection just not to be ignored! Crap! My drink is empty better reload my flare gun. Woo hoo! She checked on us, 40 min after our food had been served.

Food is fantastic and weve been going for years as regulars. Usually with party of 12 or more... Service is a little slow but once your food is served Time stand still and you forget how long you waited while drifting into a world of "OMG, THIS FOOD IS DELICIOUS! " To be continue, as we celebrate our Poa Poa 90th Birthday!

Busy restaurant, Authentic Chinese dishes, not Americanized, reasonably priced, caters a lot of big family gatherings. Some of my favorite dishes, Lettuce Wraps, Wor Wanton Soup, Chinese Broccoli with Beef, Singapore Rice Noodles. Consistent food for over twenty years.

The food was 5 star. The service was 3. Im not sure if the service was out of lack of awareness of what good service is or what. The food was outstanding. Best Ive had in decades. I will be going back. I was disappointed about service.

Customer service sucks big time. I ask if they served fried prawns and the lady replied a quick yes and kept walking like if I wasnt interested. Wouldnt come here again. Highly recommend hings chinese good.

The wouldnt sub sweet n sour pork for chicken, and all the combo plates contained pork which sucks if you dont like it.
