I heard this food was inconsistent at best but tried it anyway. Ruben sandwich was hearty but the brown mustard was overpowering and ruined the flavor. There was a 15 minute wait for the salmon. Restaurant was hipster busy with a mixture of young to elderly decrepit patrons. Festive arty art on the walls. The food preparation line desperately needed a wipe down. The sneeze shield did not block the view of the food containers spilling over their brims. The iced tea was flavored and mildly sweet but seemed fresh brewed. The prices were a tad high. A great concept of a restaurant but the offerings were lacking a real diverse menu in my opinion. I like to try local cuisine and businesses so I was glad upon glad to give it a try. I would visit again and try something different. Visit and eat. Youll be glad you did.

Well, I was there on 09/25/2007 and the registers went down. The line stood still for nearly 7 to 10 minutes. The manager came out and told the girls behind the register to use a calculator and take the cash transactions. The girl behind the register (who is terrible, have had horrible service from her before) had no clue as to how to add up the cost off with tax on a calculator and so the manager abandoned his instructions and went back into his office as we all stood frozen in line. I gave up and walked out. Will say this, the food is off the hook (really good) but they need to update there training videos because those clowns behind the register need to be educated in customer service and what to do when the registers go down.

I moved to Sacramento a little over 2 years ago, an this hands down is the best BBQ trip tip sandwich Ive had. Actually as a matter of fact it, its the best sandwich I have had since moving to the 916 area. I also had ordered a 8 ounce side of the tri tip. It was also cooked absolutely perfect medium rare. The mashed potatoes were real not instant. The place was even packed, an the service was still on point. an didnt suffer one bit from being packed. I WOULD RECOMMEND "JACKS URBAN EATS" TO ANYBODY LOOKING FOR A FRESH, QUALITY FOOD AT A EXCELLENT PRICE. LOCATED IN A GREAT LOCATION. FREQUENTED BY A YOUNGER CROWD. THE RESTAURANT WAS VERY CLEAN TOO.

One of my favorite places for fairly inexpensive but seemingly good quality food. Would be great if I knew it was (so its probably not) organic veggies, but not many restaurants doing that yet for whatever reason. But still, always tastes fresh, good hot sandwiches and stuff, fast but not "fast food". Theres simply no excuse to eat pink slime burgers from a drive through when you can be in and out of a place like this in 5 minutes for similar cost and way better quality. But the draw for me is the great salads you can get topped with your choice of meats if you like.

This is a very nice restaurant, I go there fairly often, I am very picky but I like the food and the place and the staff. Most of the staff there is very nice and does their job well, and are polite. The food there is very fresh and tasty, especially the tritip BBQ sandwidtch, the fries and macaroni and cheese are also very tasty. Again this is a really nice place, to me this is one of the few places I enjoy to eat at, it seems like most other places are not as good. I would compare this quick restaurant to places like Elephant Bar which is also fairly good.

Love the food at Jacks. BBQ salad, Santa Fe salad, Tri-Tip sandwich, Mac & Cheese. Its all really yummy. Never had a bad meal at any of there locations. I wasnt too impressed with the service though. The staff acts as if youre bothering them when you go up to order or if you try to ask for condiments after your food arrives (ranch, BBQ sauce, etc.). Its walk up & order style so I guess thats what you get - Fast food customer service. The prices are too high to get the same level of service as you would at a fast food chain. All in all the foods delicious

Food is mediocre. Over priced and this place is dirty!!! People handling money and food. Servers putting thumb and finger prints on plates full of food. Kitchen line was filthy and I watched employees handle food and money. Does Sacramento have a health department? Employees rummaged through to go orders with bare hands. Opening and closing each box handling the food. At one point they opened a box and had several customers look to see if it was their food. Dangerous food policies and low really poor product.

I work in Frog town and there arent many lunch options nearby. So when Wax Paper opened, I decided to give them a shot. I was hesitant to buy an $11 sandwich when I could drive a little farther to Subway and get a $6 sandwich. But WOWEE was I happy I tried Jacks Urban Eats, Loehmanns Plaza. Their high quality food looks and tastes gourmet. I am a big fan of the Audie.

Urban Fries are great, most salads are okay, only sandwiches i would recommend are the spicy buffalo and cali cheese steak. would not recommend the chicken pesto sandwich (very bland and greasey) or the spicy buffalo salad. honestly has been hit or miss on everything else so i stick to my 3 solid items that are always good. very pricey for the quality as well

Im super stoked that Jacks upgraded to their new space in Loehmanns Plaza. Its a nicer space, better visibility, and better parking. Definitely one of my favorite places to take the family on the weekend while we are running errands or just hanging out. What an awesome concept, with good people and good food.

Expect slower service if you arent an young attractive woman or friends with the staff. Staff is almost exclusively college students who give priority to their friends. Watched my to go order sit on the counter getting cold while the server chatted with some girls while waiting for their order to get ready.

August 28, 2017 12:20pm: Great place with A/C. Great and efficient workers for a lunch time rush. 3 Chicken tenders and fries (upgrade) arent worth the price ($10.75 + tax), but wont leave a bad review because I one experience. However, food was at a good temperature, and fries are good.

Really delicious but the price makes it hard to swallow. The food is average American food that tastes really good, but it doesnt fill you up. A good place every once in a while and the urban fries are a nice try, but burgers and sandwiches from other places are better and cheaper.

I got the NY Reuben sandwich. The meat was good, but not something I would write home about. Ive had better for less price elsewhere. Tried some of my husbands fries, and they were really good and crunchy, but beware that the Mac n cheese is the soupy kind, not the cheesy kind.

Good layed back place to get a great fresh salad and a freshly sliced chicken, turkey, or tri-tip sandwich, I got the tri-tip, and it was very flavorful and well cooked. We also ordered the family fries that were the perfect size for 3 medium apatites.

Place is not very clean, went to use the restroom before ordering...what a pig sty! I walked out after seeing that. Im not eating food from a place that cant even keep their bathroom tidy. It wasnt even close to busy, no excuse for that.
