So Im sitting at the bar with my best friend, his wife, and his 1 month old daughter... And child protective services didnt walk in. It was for a tasting; were not stupid and/or crazy. One of the coolest things about California aside from being just plain awesome are the beers. The service here was totally home grown and laid back. Apparently, my friend knew the guy from before and was able to get the details on the brews on tap...but he didnt know the guys name. I find that weird. So the beers are gonna be great; theres no doubt about that. But the thing that should pull you here as opposed to the other bars in the area, is the mac and cheese. Never in my life have I been to a place that had such an amazing and creative selection of mac and cheese. This is something that I havent run into ever. Every girl I know for SOME reason go ape-**** over mac and cheese. Like seriously, every time we go out to some American restaurant and they see mac and cheese on the menu, they just have to order it. And I dont really see why, because its just cheese and pasta. And all of these restaurants advertise that "their mac and cheese is the best" like its some kind of house secret. Whatever. Its all the same. Not here. This place knows mac and cheese. They mix it with different stuff besides different cheeses and differently-shaped macaroni. Look at the pictures, and youll see.

The food was great as well as beer selection but unfortunately for this business you can get actually friendly staff elsewhere. I would never recommend to anybody I know to go and get treated the horrible way we were treated at Boneshaker. We ask to taste a sample of a beer in the themble of a sample glass they have and they eitger said "no" or "what you dont trust me that its good". I couldnt believe the rudeness. We were there on Memorial Day, a day to remember those that served our country and relax and were met only with rudeness. I think the bartender was hung over because he sure didnt want to be there. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the other dozen breweries in the area that will great you with a smile and good customer service!!

Checked it out bc of all the positive reviews. Sadly, I agree with negative reviewer on here that the staff was not friendly nor helpful. I asked to try a sample of one of the beers. He said "no it costs $1 per ounce." Then he was tapping his finger as if he was doing me a favor waiting for me to order. After I got my beer, the next person asked for a sample and he poured her one. So do they sample or not? And if they do, why didnt he recommend something else I was allowed to sample? I visit many pubs and craft breweries. This is not one Id recommend.

If you like craft beer and youre in the Rocklin/Roseville area, this is the place to go. Best selection and variety of stuff you wont find in the store from some of the best and most interesting brewers nationwide. Personally, I prefer the Pub to the Community Brewery (across town) because of the wider selection of beers and more traditional pub feel. Earlier in 2015 they doubled in size and now the place is more comfortable when crowded and they added a pizza oven. I prefer the outside patio when the temperatures cooperate.

Great selection, no matter what youre looking for! Tons of craft beer, but lots of ciders available as well. There is additional bottled beers if you somehow cant find something you like on tap. Good food too. Counter service. They have expanded their seating if you havent been there in a while. We were there one night when they had live music and it was packed! So depending on what youre looking for, check out the website in advance to know what to expect!!

I dont know what bit them in the ass but they need to work on their customer service skills. No smiles, no hello or have a nice day, they slammed the dishes down when serving us and on top of all this, they are over-priced. There are other breweries that have better selection for at least $2 less per serving. Never going here again. If you want service that doesnt give you a negative vibe, dont go here theyre asshoes

Great selection of beer. My husband had the Mother Earth ESB and it was great, not too hoppy. I had the Napa Smith Pilsner and it was light and drinkable. We split the nachos, the portions here are pretty big. Never thought I would say this, but there might have been TOO much cheese on the nachos. Overall, solid beer selection, good service, laid back vibe, good food.

Rocklin has been sorely needing a place like this for a very long time. Great food & great people. JJ and his crew are a delightful group who have a passion for craft beer and an incredible knack for spreading it. I for one am very happy to have contracted their obsession for all things hoppy and to have gained such good friends in the process.

The bar area is clean and welcoming. The proprietor was friendly and fun. He assisted myself and a friend in picking an ale. You could tell he really liked his job. Fun place, friendly people and the brew was delicious. I had the Stone Double IPA and I would highly recommend it. Would definitely go back.

This is my "local." The people are friendly, theres a variety of good beer with new options arriving daily, and delicious comfort food. They have theme days, occasional live music, pub quiz, and a club for regular patrons that seems really cool, but I have yet to join. All around great place.

Small brew pub with a two sided bar and a few tables. It can get full quick. They have a wide range of beers on tap, priced for the craft beer market. If the weathers nice, they have picnic tables and an additional table or two on the patio. They also have a few sports tuned TVs going.

Well known for the Beers & their Mac -n -Cheese. Great place to meet up with friends and just hang out. Large selection of beers from local breweries in the area including some ciders for those non beer drinkers. My favorite mac-n-cheese is the Blind Pig Mac, you will not be disappointed.

Their beer selection is always tasty and unusual, there is always something new to try. The mac n cheeses are all pretty great too. Plus, they have friendly staff, a comfortable atmosphere, and longer hours than most restaurants in the area.

Local watering hole thats friendly to all ages. Fantastic selection of local drinks and guaranteed to find one (or twenty) great beers/ciders to enjoy. No one here is a stranger. 10/10 will go back many many times.
