Awful - Avoid ! I cannot believe the reviews on here are about the same place and "legit".... First, the place is horribly noisy - so bad one cannot possibly have a conversation inside. The traffic outside is "quieter" than the noise inside - concrete walls and floors. Next, the "staff" was not helpful nor knowledgeable in the least. Quite the opposite - completely unhelpful and lacking in knowledge, and incompetent. The terrible set-up with the order counter and cash register the same causes ridiculous lines and slow service - for no reason. Absentee/non-management adds to poor service. Finally - the prices.... unnecessarily expensive. We paid $9.50- each for a small glass of draught. There are plenty of beer bars and pubs in town with equal - or - better product for much better prices. We will go to those from now on.

Its a real pleasure to discover and enjoy the many Belgian-focused beers on offer here. Rob and company do a wonderful job of supplying answers to your questions as well as great beer. The kitchen and menu are evolving, so keep your eye out for new items and blackboard specials. If the extensive, rotating tap list doesnt have what youre looking for, be sure to check out the Lambic bar and bottle shop for even more beer choices. Its family friendly, low-key atmosphere, patron accessible WiFi and decent location make this a nice destination for myself my family and my friends.

The burger is absolutely delicious. One bite in I was just overwhelmed. Its too bad they didnt take off the onions like I asked, but I enjoyed the crispy shoestring fries as well, and the beers were great too. It was a bit overpriced, unfortunately ($10 for a beer is kind of steep, and the burger was $15 if I remember correctly). The inside was kind of dark and crowded and just muggy (ceiling fans only) so we sat outside where one of the fans just didnt work. Still a pretty good atmosphere and overall experience despite the 108 degree weather.

Ive been here a few times now and I really like the place. The beer selection is excellent. I love their bottle room too. This is a great place to go, especially with a group where everyone in the may have a different taste in beers. The seating is open, which is nice, and there is indoor or outdoor seating. You walk up to the counter to order, unless youre sitting at the bar. They have a station across from the register that has cups and water, napkins, as well as to go boxes.

Excellent beer selection, and experienced staff that will let you taste beers before committing. They do have wine as well. Great ambience. Separate bottle shop if youd like to buy bottles. They rotate taps regularly, and always have a list of sours. Their food is also amazing. Strongly recommend their sausage platter, their cheese platter, mussels and fries, and their burgers. Outside seating areas are dog-friendly. Street parking is a bit hard to find sometimes.

This place is tremendous! The staff is the friendliest I have encountered at a brewpub, and extremely knowledgeable on their astounding selection of beer. Let me emphasize that the beer selection is truly awe inspiring, choir of angels singing type awesome. The atmosphere is inviting and warm, sit down at the bar and anyone will be happy to discuss the wondrous taste of “Pliny the elder” with you.

Ive been visiting Pangaea faithfully for the last year and a half, and I genuinely enjoy the beer selection and the menu. That being said, theyve steadily decreased the serving size of the beer on draft, while keeping the price consistently high. It is not the same brewpub I enjoyed last year, and Im concerned that this trend will continue. At this point, it has become overpriced for what they offer.

Went in here just now on my birthday to order a beer. Had brunch earlier and took a nap to sober up after the bottomless mimosas. I live right around the corner and was looking forward to dinner and a drink. As soon as I ordered I was told I wasnt welcome. I am so sad and mortified. Ive never cried so hard on my birthday.

A glass of red wine is $12. No price posted for the wine anywhere. They just charged me. Food didnt stand out, couldve made better for cheaper. The place was not busy but took 40 minutes to get a turkey club and a bratwurst. They had a huge selection of imported beer, but I feel $9.50 for a beer is way too much.

Laid back Sacramento vibe and mixed crowd of families, cool kids, and after work drinking buddies makes this a fun place to go, no matter who you are. Amazing beer selection, tasty food especially anything with beer cheese. But limited vegetarian options (only appitzers) limit my ability to come here.

Beer-wise, the selection is good, but damn, its way expensive. I got a beer flight ($7.50 for 3 pours) and it equalled a half pint. My friend got a burger and it was $15. A burger and fries, thats it. Staff was friendly and good service. This is just not a place I could afford to frequent.

Have never dined or drank on site. The magic is the back room filled with plentiful choices from around the world. Some are room temperature and some are chilled. All are ready to-go. Also, their staff is quite helpful at offering suggestions and guiding you to the best options for you.

Food is great, beer selection is great, service is great, the only kinda negative is that it can be difficult to find seating when it is busy. But still worth it. And when youre done at pangea head over to Gunthers, Sacramento ice cream mainstay for decades. Great little neighborhood.

Literally the best burger in town, holds the Burger Battle Belt two years running. Everything on the menu is fantastic. Pangaea knows beer and has a great selection, including always having many sour beers on tap. The service is outstanding. Tell em KiltedKen sent ya!

Sour beers are a big thing now and you can thank Rob from Pangaea for that. Hes stocked on whole bar with fascinating sour beers. Also the food is really really wonderful. Its not a cheap place - so be prepared to spend a good chunk of change - but it will be worth it.

Prices seemed too high for what was offered in a bar setting. $16 fried chicken? $9.50 for 10 and 12oz pours of beers that could be found elsewhere for less? Hard to justify. That said, they have cozy atmosphere and location and it was fairly crowded.

Pure heat. Great selection of brew, knowledgeable staff, and the best part is the food. Anyone complaining about price is expecting something like a regular pub...definitely would never compare the burger to McDonalds either... This place is the best.

The best beer bar in town. Constantly changing taps, theme months, a sour board, bottle room, and great food to top it all off. Wonderful place to get a beer and talk, get brunch, or just hang out. Sports on the TV but its not a sports bar.

The burger was average at best. Overpriced at $13.00. I ordered no bacon and got bacon. Fries are plain. I would rate McDonalds better. The staff was more interested in their conversations than service. Not impressed. Dont recommend.

I have never had anything here that I didnt like. Beer is always great, you can always try a taste before getting a full pint. Pretty much always get a soft pretzel and almost always the mac and cheese before going to entrees.
