TL;DR - Great craft beer selection with rotating taps; good food to go with. Ive been to The Salted Pig a few times over the course of the past couple years. Im not exactly a local so I go when Im in the area or if I want to introduce someone else to the beer and food. If I had written this review a year ago it would have been 5 stars. When I went recently I noticed that a few changes had been made and if I had never been to the place I might not have cared. The SO loves craft beer and everywhere we go he orders a flight so he can sample and review more things before deciding what he wants in a pint. The Salted Pig no longer does flights which was a bit of a let down. They still have great beer and cocktails though and well be back to try new craft beers as they rotate through their amazing tap list. Also, they have a standard list that doesnt change of beer and cider in bottles and it is the one place that Ive been able to find J.K. Skrumpy Apple Cider which is my favorite hands down. I didnt ask this time to see if they still do it but in previous visits I have had a cider float. The restaurant makes their own ice cream and some times they have interesting ones like cinnamon brandy which goes great in a cider float. The second change I noticed was a seriously pared down dinner menu. I had difficulty choosing something I could eat (allergy to mushrooms) and would like (not a big fan of pork - yes I know it is called The Salted Pig and pig means pork). I ended up choosing the burger which was a great choice. 2 of us in our party had the burger and we both finished them. Another friend had the pork chop and commented that it was the best pork chop he had ever eaten in his 50+ years. My SO had the fried chicken and waffles and it looked amazing. He kept telling me I should try it except the waffles had cremini mushrooms baked in. The fries (with the friends burger) looked good and were gone before I grabbed one. Certainly a great meal overall. If you like pig and/or beer, then why havent you been here yet?

This eating place is one of the fine in riverside (The satisfactory that Ive been to). My boyfriend became enthusiastic about it, however I became reluctant to head because of the bizarre menu (Im a choosy eater). But he satisfied me to have lunch there on my birthday, and I cherished it. We were given one of the simplest 2 burger alternatives on the menu that day and they have been fantastic, and so have been the fries. They have a huge choice of exciting beers and all their food is crafted from scratch. Which is why the charges are so high, however certainly worth it. My preferred aspect became the news of chocolate ice cream they added me for my birthday barren region. I actually never tasted something adore it in my existence. I havent any idea how they made it, but I known as day after today to invite if they promote take-home cartons of it; they dont, however I could be returning for more as quickly as feasible. This is one of these places that everybody who is round must strive at the least once. It is also quite cool on the internal. It has a smooth-basement type of vibe. Theres no windows, or maybe a signal above the door. Worth sorting out, even supposing only for the revel in.

Ive been wanting to come here for a long time after seeing numerous check-ins and pics from my sorority sisters. Im so glad I finally got to try it. My family and I came here for lunch. My mom and I split the turkey sandwich and salad. It had avocado and a kumquat aioli. That aioli was the highlight of the sandwich and made it more than just the average turkey sandwich. My sister got the veggie sandwich, which came with several roasted veggies and pesto. My dad got the lamb burger and he ate the entire thing. My sis and my dad ordered fries each, and its a pretty big portion. We also ordered the filthy fries, so that on top of the two portions of fries was a lot. Youre definitely getting your moneys worth when you get fries with your sandwich. Its pretty dark inside, but not Cheesecake Factory dark where you cant even see your food. Service was good. It felt like awhile before our food got to the table, but it was worth the wait. Id like to come back and try the mac and cheese and the brussels sprouts.

The food is way overpriced for what it is, a hamburger. The menu has little to choose from. The bar has a good selection of beers but your paying Vegas Club prices without the women. The waiter was a condescending prick. Me "I'll have the hamburger." Server "I recommend it be cooked medium rare." Me "I would prefer that it be cooked medium well. Why do you recoommend medium rare." Server "We don't like to kill the meet twice." If you're looking for condesending trendy/yuppie hipster douchebag severs, this is your place. Maybe I'm not in the target demographic. 32 year old male that loves beer. It's hard to F up that target but the Salted Pig sure did. $55 for a sandwich, a burger, and three beers? Get real! And hang out with a bunch of pretentious a-holes. You're in the IE, not the OC. This was definently a one night stand at the Salted Pig.

This is a quality gastropub and well worth what you pay. Excellent rotating beer selection that any beer lover will appreciate. Fresh ingredients and great tasting food. My favorite is the Hangover, burger with prossuitto and a hollandaise sauce. Very clean in every area. Eaten here about 10 times so far and every time its flawless. Not joking, Ive never seen a spot on a glass. I cant help but think that the reviewers giving this place a 1 or 2 star rating must be from a competing restaraunt or rating it as a healthfood restaurant ... I dont know, something. No way this place gets anything below a 4. If youre strapped for cash, then you simply cant afford to eat at a place like this. If youre looking to eat a healthy salad or a wrap this aint the place. But then again, thats not what the Salted Pig is going for. It has many repeat customers that know you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

At first they are very friendly and attend to you, But apparently you cant have a conversation without the waitress eavesdropping and assuming that youre talking about her! After she assumed that the customer service became very lousy. We couldnt ask for refills or anything for that matter without feeling uncomfortable. The manager apparently started giving attitude as well after she told her and started being extremely rude with us! They need to remember that even if we were talking about her, it shouldnt matter cause we are PAYING customers. They really shouldnt take things so personal and if they do, suck it up and DO YOUR JOB! Thats what they pay you for! I know it sounds rude but what ever happened to "service with a smile" even if its a fake smile! If you ask me... I WILL NEVER GO BCK! and if you do, I recommend not to talk about personal/private things there.
