Catahoula is my go-to coffee house and roaster. Yes - roaster! They used to roast right in the shop, but the demand from local restaurants and better food stores caused them to expand their roasting - and their storefront just didnt have room. The staff is knows their coffee. They also serve pastries baked by local small businesses. Its always been busy when I went, but not loud. When Ive gone to sit and sip, Ive always managed to strike up nice conversations with people I dont know.

Wow, really great coffee. Tim gave me samples while I decided what to get for our coffee service at work. Everything I tasted was like tasting something fresh. Rich tasty coffee. Sumatra was the one that Tim thought I might like but Lola smelled better so that is what I bought for our first month with Catahoula as our office coffee provider. Catahoula is very small. They purchase and roast their own beans on the premises. Tim is dedicated to providing the best coffee. cheers!

Tasty coffee, friendly staff, fast WiFi. Came here to try the coffee and get some work done. The coffee is good, the WiFi is fast but unfortunately the music was a bit too loud for me to be able to work. The reason they only get four stars is they didnt have any ketchup for their breakfast burritos. What kind of place has breakfast burritos but no ketchup? Its like serving coffee but not having any cream and sugar. Ill be back for the coffee though.

So far, it is a fantastic place with a great service. Their coffee is amazing and I appreciate that it is possible to purchase half a pound of each of them so I can try them all (slowly:-). Their coffee is expensive, although really good...okay, perhaps the best I have ever had (Brazilan, Peru and 3 Amigos...are so far my favorite). Some cost $18 and others $23 per pound. This is a lot. And for this, I take one star away. Sorry.

I do not rave about much but this coffee shop is a diamond in the rough! The energy is remarkable, the service is prompt and genuine and the coffee...its the absolute best Ive ever had! Not to mention the feel good designs they topped my mocha off with:) You will love this coffee shop. But be warned you may not be able to drink Starbucks sour burnt coffee ever again...Im just saying;)

I stumbled upon Catahoula Coffee while on a work trip to Richmond, CA. I ordered an Americano, it was excellent. The roast was not bitter at all but rather rich, and very smooth. The staff was very friendly and the patrons were very pleasant. There was no where to sit, so I took my drink with me. I wish I had a coffee shop like this near where I live. Keep up the good work.

Fast service, tasty food, reasonably priced, ALWAYS GREETED WITH A SMILE, kid-friendly and they have a small variety of books to read there or take home (just bring one back). Best of all, Catahoula has a variety of Great Tasting Coffees, whether you drink it for a boost in the morning or to just sip on a cup after a meal, I recommend Catahoula Coffees, "ALL THE TIME"!!!! ☕

Café de calidad alejado del café que acostumbro a tomar aquí. Pide una cookie gigante y disfruta del desayuno. Puedes hacerte una foto al lado de la camioneta del parking.

I love this local spot! The beans are roasted in the shop, great tasting coffee and the staff always greats me with a smile. All are knowledgeable about coffee and can help in making informed choices about what flavor to enjoy there our take home. If you havent been, you should give then try!

I had to come back and edit this review – I already put in a 5 star rating, but today one of the baristas walked around and asked people individually if they wanted more coffee. Ive never had that experience in any other casual coffee place! They also have great taste in music. Love this place.

A non-hipster high quality coffee shop! Coffee is great (Zambrano is so good, also mexi mocha). If they have mochi muffins you must try one. They have a second location on 4th street in Berkeley where they are baked. So happy to be able to come here for coffee.

Small local chain that roasts their own coffee. Tables are a rare commodity during morning hours, but service is quick. Coffee is excellent and the pastries are great.

Really chill place. Latte was pretty good. I was excited to find a third wave roaster that is carrying Sumatra coffee. Also pretty excited to find Prana Chai for sale.

Been coming here since they opened. Great owner and staff and a welcome reprieve from homogenized mccoffee chains. An island of coffee purists
