I have been to this location three times now - most recently today and while the food and smoothies are great, I am concerned about the food safety and sanitary practices. I dont recall the first time, but the last two times, I noticed that the gentleman making the food, walked to the computer to ring something up, took money, answered the phone, made a smoothie and went back to making the food WITHOUT changing his gloves.

I was excited when I found out Tropical Smoothie was coming to Pinole. I had fallen in love with some of their smoothies and wraps when I was in Virginia for school and finally could satisfy the desire for a good smoothie. The people are friendly, the food and smoothies are delicious, and the location is really convenient.

I feel pretty healthy while I have their sandwiches and smoothies. BUT! I always had to wait for a LONG time for my order. You could try their online order system, but I am not sure if they would have your order ready as the estimated time. Overall, the food arent too bad but there is always a long wait for my experience.

Would have done 0 if I could since I could even get a smoothie because despite google, the hours sign, and the open sign all saying it would be open til 10pm the doors were locked at 8:40pm and the girl mopping the floor wouldnt even acknowledge us.

Not satisfied at all. Online and on the door of the store say the places closes at 10pm Monday-Friday and when we got her at 9:00pm they wouldnt let us in. And then one of the workers saw us at the door, looked at us and turned off the lights.
