$10 sandwich with just turkey and cheese.... I expect better than cheap processed turkey meat. The meat had browning spots like they had individually grilled this stuff. I took the meat out and tried eating just the bread with the cheese. I felt sick after two bites. Thats not even the worst part... When I put this in my car it smelled like chemicals. Figured it must be the styrofoam packaging. When I got home I realized its not the packaging, its not this funky turkey either... its their homemade bread pudding! This stuff is so foul. I cannot describe the smell any other way, its wreaks of chemicals. For some morbid reason I bit into it anyways. oiwgoihrwqogyhg!! Disgusting cant even describe my eating experience, joy never crossed my mind. At least the sandwich came with lays chips, even though stale they are better than everything else. Really dont understand how this place can get 4 and 5 star ratings. $15 For a waste of a sandwich and bread pudding that I wouldnt give an enemy. The service was terrible as well. Took 15 minutes to get a sandwich that I was told takes 5, waited 5 minutes to get someone to take my order and over 5 minutes to get someone to take my money. 30 minutes for a nasty $10 sandwich. Even with those few bites, Im burping up the nastiest burps ever. DONT GO!!!

My family and I have been going to Joy of eating for years. We new the original owners and when new owners took over they never changed it just improved the look and a added a few good savory meals to the menu. My first memory I have of this place is their Homemade bread. It is way better then Hawaiian Bread. I have followed the tradition of my family and I take my children there to enjoy a great meal and to meet great people. I recommend this place to anyone passing thru town or to those who have never heard of it. Keep up the great work Joy of Eating. I hope my boys will follow tradition and bring their children there as well. Everything is excellent. Actually I am going there for breakfast today and I am looking forward to bringing home a loaf of home made bread.

A Vallejo gem! This place has been here for as long as I remember. I could on, and on, and on about this place, but Ill try to make this concise. Ive come to the point where I dont need to look at the menu anymore. Umm.. my go-tos: Breakfast ~ - Breakfast #3: carb overload!!! eggs, potatoes (I get them extra crispy), and their famous toast - Cinnamon toast: as if their plain toast isnt already tasty on its own.. the cinnamon toast satisfies every sweet tooth - French toast: again, their famous toast in french toast form Lunch ~ - Crab sandwich: really moist crab meat on a sandwich, with again, their famous toast!!!

Very dirty, sugar top are dirty. Terrible service our waitress never offer more coffe or tea....she was too busy talking to a guy for about 15 minutes, she grave our plates she had them holding on her hand and she still kept talking to him. They expect not to take too long eating since there is clients waiting on the door but they take long bringing the food. Also the corner table close to the door people kept bumping on to the table and one of those times the water cup splash my phone. Food was great.

One star for my burger made to order medium well and JUICY. One star for available seating at one o clock in the afternoon. One star for CRISP whole leaf romaine lettuce. One star for offering mustard. One star for fries on the side. One star for filling my glass and minus a star for the place being run down. Clean and run down. Put some money in the place, cmon.

This place was crowded when we got here-- clearly a local favorite, but I wasnt impressed with the time it took for our food to arrive and the dirty seats (-1 star). The food was your standard American fare, but they used a lot of veggies in my veggie omelet, and the fresh bread they bake and sell here was pretty good. I would come back for that bread.

I will NEVER go to this place again.. I ordered a crab omelette with no avocado, they bring me back a omelette with avoacado I send it back to be made over and here they bring me back the same omelette but with only a few avacado pieces still in there smh. I asked for a new omelette not they same one that someone took apart. Just HORRIBLE!!!

This is a comfortable family-and-friends kind of place with really good barbeque. I know a fair number of people who eat there regularly because they love it. Its not fancy, but I wouldnt call it funky either. The main dining room is pleasant. They jam a few people into a front area when theyre busy (which is often), and thats...

Just ate at Michael Warring for our anniversary. Weve eaten there several times and are never disappointed. It is a fixed menu, so it helps to be adventurous and like new dishes. The chef is always trying new foods and preparation. The wine pairing was once again unique and complimented each of the dishes. Highly recommend.

Food is okay, their bread is actually pretty good, but portions where small compared to other breakfast reataurants and the place requieres renovation as it is very outdated and it needs some SERIOUS cleaning, the ceiling fan looks like it was never cleaned, thick with lint and dirt and the floors are truly dirty.

This place was simply awesome! Wonderful meat, and wonderful coleslaw! Recommended very highly. I would even say it is worth a detour off the interstate to come grab a meal here or a to-go meal. The cornbread was great, and the tri-tip, and the homemade pies were also fabulous. This place is a gem!

Their bread is awesome, and so is their corn beef hash. Its pretty crowded but the service is great and they make sure to keep your coffee cup refilled. Unlike black bear, this place has the awesome pepper plant sauce, you just need to ask. We come here every time we come up to visit our family.

Eat here with your husband so your waitress can hit on him they can exchange numbers and begin an affair where they both cheat on their spouses... Super Classy Staff. I wonder where they hire the waitresss off the street corner? Makes you question what else does the waitresss here do for tips??

This place was introduced to use by my cousin and thank him all the time for doing so. The restaurant is located right next door to the Ferry Station and sits right on the wharf with views of the straight and Mare Island on the other side. The service is great and the food is impeccable.

Took over fifteen minutes just to get a water. There is also only one waitress working here, which I understand why its taking so long. People seated after us also got their drinks before me. Im not sure if the food is worth coming back if the customer service is like this.

The owner was rude ass hell kept hanging up the phone on customers.Lied to the lady when she picked up her food and said she was not hanging the phone up.The home made bread is thick and nasty.Waitresses were great. But owner is very rude I would never go back.

For my money, the best breakfast in Solano County. Their omelets are just perfect ... the standard by which I judge all others now, and their toast is legendary. Granted, their diner lacks atmosphere, but its a neighborhood gathering spot, what do you want?
