I took a friends from out of state here. We ate all over the Sacramento and San Francisco area over a week long period and Soho Sushi stands out as the best dining experience we had. The service was good, food was delivered quickly, and the ambiance was good, not necessarily great, but as expected for the location (Were talking Rancho Cordova here so...). The 5 star rating is well deserved because of the food. We had two appetizers, sashimi plate, and two rolls. The Sashimi was probably the best thing Ive eaten maybe ever. Great flavor, great presentation. The sushi rolls were definitely excellent, but overshadowed by the sashimi we ate beforehand. This is definitely a must if youre in the area. Very busy at lunch time, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. The owner of the place is very professional, Ive interacted with him in a non-customer role through my profession and he is polite, attentive, and seems to treat his employees very well. I will definitely make this place a stop whenever I want to take friends out for amazing good.

I went in on my 1 hour lunch break arrived at 12:10. I noticed 2 tables of about 4 people each as I sat at the bar. the waitress walked over with a menu I told her I did not need a menu I know what I want. She walked away and helped the tables. 3 people walked in for a to-go order I am assuming and she proceeded to help them before me. At 12:30 she came back and asked me what I would like (no pen no paper did not write it down). I watched orders being made and severed and at about 12:50 I heard her ask the sushi chef to make the Hot Ex-Wife roll (the roll I ordered). Had she wrote it down he could have made it sooner. 5 minutes later I stood up and asked her if I could just pay for my drink, its been an hour and I dont have time to wait she said Thats Ok I dont have to and Thank you. Literally thanked me. Didnt offer to make it to go for me or anything just thanked me for wasting my hour lunch and leaving hungry.

Good lord always love the quality of the food when I come here, and I come here about once per week! I mainly stick to the shogun sashimi sampler for myself, complimented with the Crystal Ball appetizer roll, but in general you cant go wrong with any speciality roll either. Ive never been a fan of rolls with cream cheese when going out for sushi, but I think Ive just had bad experiences most other places and now never get them. But the Crystal Ball roll is an awesome combination of raw sashimi fish, creme cheese rice and sauces for an amazing textured roll that nails all senses. This is bar far my favorite place to hit up after work for some bomb happy hour beer deals coupled with my love for sashimi. Always fresh and clean tasting!

Brought in co-workers for my birthday lunch and enjoyed the friendliness of the staff to help us get seated while waiting for everyone to get there. We all enjoyed wonderfully presented food from beef bento box to sashimi plate. Our vegetarian friend was happy with a big serving of his seaweed salad along with a delicious roll. Liked happy hour options so that everyone could afford something on the menu. Some people ordered rolls to take home and said they wanted to come back soon! I gave this four stars because it took awhile to get our food, but then we arrived at different times over an hour so maybe our bad! Definitely will be back :-)

I have been here about 15 times and have been very satisfied every single time, up until the last time, when I experienced a small bit of food poisoning after eating lunch during happy hour. I had raw fish, which is normally pretty good for half-off sushi, but this batch was not right. My partner and I both threw up 12 hours after eating the fish. Try some non-raw fish rolls. Otherwise, their chefs are creative and the rolls are delicious. There is little option without something either tempura or deep-fried, and most rolls also come doused in sauces. Overall, good sushi on a tight budget.

05/31/2017 Update: I just took away 1 star. My wife ordered a salad which was served in a chipped plate. I made an observation to a waiter, he promptly apologized promising to bring another salad, which he did... In another chipped plate. Food is still excellent, l just wish service would be back as it was 1 year ago. Original review. Great! Great! Great! Im extremely pleased with this place. I definitely would recommend it and am looking forward to return to this place.

Food was great but service was questionable. We came for lunch and were seated. We ordered 4 rolls and some drinks. Needless to say it took a while, he forgot to bring any drinks and a couple that came in 10 minutes after us and ordered the same amount of food 10 minutes after we did ended up getting there food first before we were even brought our drinks.

One of the best sushi places I have ever tired. I had to stop by in Rancho Cordova for work and tried this place once and went back couple more times in same week to get sushi. Spicy Tempura was our favorite. Also the customer service was great. They didnt charge us for one order because our sushi came in a little late. Definitely recommend this place

Great place for Japanese food! I like their sashimi & nigiri, and they have an amazing selection of rolls - from typical to zany modern combinations. For the sushi-averse, they have plenty of teriyaki / bento box / udon noodle soup options on the menu as well. Highly recommended - and I should go here more often myself!

Happy Hour 2 pm to 6 pm. They have interesting rolls, nothing with real crab leaving this Gluten Free Guy very few options. It is OK, not great - not bad. Restaurant has an interesting decor, is clean and staff is very helpful. A good choice if you want sushi on a budget but still desire quality.

They have a great selection of rolls which are fairly priced. They have really great quality fish as well. They did remove my favorite item from the menu the baked mussels but they still have plenty to offer. Usually a short wait to be seated but food comes out quickly.

I come here all the time. No problems. 2 days ago I got bad food poisoning from a ninja roll and gyoza. I am not happy, please prepare your food and inspect it better. My whole weekend was ruined and now Im too sick to go to work. This will not be ignored

Ive had better sushi for the same price, but its still not bad. The only complaint is service gets overwhelmed easily. If its just your party, you will be fine. But if half the place is full, you will have to wait a lot.

Food was awesome! Services was not great and there were no paper towels in the restroom. I told my waitress. I went back to wash up after dinner and there were still no paper towels. I dont think they cared to be honest.

Never had sushi here, but their sunomono and noodle dishes are good. I hate the design of the restaurant though; way too dark and not enough light, even during the day. The open ceiling-warehouse look is really cliche.
