Ive made numerous pilgramages out to this area during San Franciscos extended romance with mid-summer fog. This place is orders-of-magnitude more friendly than any place in downtown P-Town. The beer prices are a bit on the spendy side, but the pub-grub style menu rocks while both the patrons and staff seem to be easily engagable. A copious supply of screens serves a decent shotgun-style bar, with scads of tables accommodating dinners in the central area. An interesting mix of hardened regulars coexists peacefully with occasional visitors. Overall? My favorite spot in the area. If the downtown vibe gives you a freaky feeling (as it did myself), head North to the Sunshine.... The arrogance factor decreases big-time as you pull farther away from downtown, and from what Ive seen, the price/quality ratio does too!

It depends on what you are looking for and what night you go. Some nights its jam packed with barely 21s and there is a dj blasting the latest hits. Those nights you can barely make it to the bar to order and they only take cash. Other nights it may be completely dead. The food is decent but the kitchen closes long before the bar does so order early if youre hungry. By the end of the night you get what you would expect from any closing time full of wild young kids.

Which is exactly why I like it! A danky little bar that serves food. A great place to drop in for a decent meal at a more than decent price. Every nite a drink AND a food special. You get more than your monies worth... and, you never know who will be in there ~ Vida Blue bought me a margarita there once, and another time I spotted Chris Knight... Shuffleboard, pool, ping pong, karaoke, dancing ~ mixed crowd, casual. Cool.

This bar is not the best but i like it even when the guy of the entrance was so rude (asian style one) he asked me for my id even when i was asked for this before in the entrance (what is the point do you trust you staff?) just to annoy me... his behavior was aggressive he wanted to kick me out of the place i dont get that. Hopefully youll find people out of us

Stopped in after a long drive was presently surprised, came in typical sports bar, meaning loads of televisions with evey possible game on. Ordered food from a nice young women with an accent, super witty and funny. I order wings and my husband ordered prim rib both meals were great. Will definitely be coming back again when were in the area. Go sharks!

You have to be realistic when going to the Sunshine. Its not the best place, and not the worst. What I like is that it has pool, shuffleboard, beer pong, ping pong, air hockey. At least there is something to keep people entertained. As the other poster said, yes there are a lot of people black listed from Sunshine. Just dont be a goon and youll be ok.

The food is well prepared and good-sized portions. They carry all the great European soccer matches as well as all local team sports. The bar staff and table waiters have always been been attentive and are quite accommodating (daily specials, TV channel changes, food allergies, etc.). Thank you...will continue to visit frequently.

Lots of TVs to watch every game thats on. Very nice bartenders. Good selection of grill food at decent prices. Huge hamburgers, stacked with fries. Good, fun-loving neighborhood patrons - seriously, you could bring your kids here. If you want to watch sports nad have meal, this is the place to do it.

Place is a joke. Owner is a nut job. What kind of bar has over 3 pages of banned people? This place used to be the hang out for young people and older for years but as the owners mind left him so have loyal paying customers. Better off finding a different venue.

About 10 Years ago this place use to be poppin use to be the spot and somewhere it lost that loving feeling dont know why or what happened but I still love the resident DJ AK he is awesome always spins my jams and I enjoy an occasional karaoke night.

Ive only been for the night club portion. Drinks are overpriced, place tends to get dirty after a while and no one wipes down tables. Hey they got beer pong and pool though.

Great staff, good selection of beer. They also have Trivia nights plus pool. Taco Tuesdays and Thursdays are great. They also have free chips and salsa. Whats not to like.
