After moving from Fremont this has kind of become my to-go Indian restaurant for just about any craving we get be it Indo-Chinese, Biriyani, Catering etc. Met these guys catering to one of my firends house warming party and food was amazingly done + the service was also commendable. As usual I pulled up my Yelp app and saw a pretty disappointing 3 stars, my conclusion at that point was probably they cater well but in general they may not be at par. My first to-go order was when we had this weird indo-chinese craving and this was one of the closest restuarant that had manchurian and hakka noodles on their menu. So, called them up around closing time to see the menu availability and instead of saying some crap they agreed to whatever we asked for + made it amazingly tasty. This was the start of our love affair with this place. I am big time Biriyani addict and with our regular Lotus Indian not on the way this became our to-go destination for Biriyanis and believe me they really make some awesome lip-smacking biriyanis my personal favorites being Vijaywada, Chicken Dum & the curry one called Ulvaracharu Goat Biriyani. Even their Chicken 65, mirchi bajji are good as appetizers. Special mention for their mutton curry this was when I got them catering for a B-Day party at home, all my guests simply went nuts for the mutton. It was really soft, nicely textured meat with perfect spice combination. We almost ended up having no left-overs. We are at a point where almost all of our friends are getting party catering from these people and they seldom disappoint. The only negative point I see is the restaurant buffet quality has to be improved and food has to be rotated more often. Except vegetable dum biriyani all other vegetarian options are not great and their Rotis are plain horrible. In spite of these fallbacks they are still gonna be in the top of my list for biriyanis, mutton curry and non-veg appetizers till they drop-down on quality (Which i hope never happens). **Review has been written after getting To-Gos almost 60 times / 3 in-house catering /10+ friends catering party

For the lunch buffet, you will find more choices than Frontier Spice (FS) around the corner. IG feels more like home cooking at a friends home, so the flavors tend to be stronger than what I found at FS. IG has a different style of cooking that is also worth trying. 7/19/17 Update: Im upgrading IG to five stars. This restaurant probably has the most authentic buffet in East Bay. Great, strong flavors, without added creams which can cause food coma after a meal. At 12:30 on a WED, the place is packed so the food comes out fresh and is well heated. The only slight negatives are, cramped space, hard to find parking, and naan thats a little too thick. Otherwise, $11.98 including tax (buffets weekdays only) is a great value.

when i first tasted it I thought that this is my newest absolute favorite food , and that it deserves to be #1 of all foods(obviously my own opinion, but that was what it tasted like) and that it descended from heaven and was everything that was good and holy in the world I thought that I could eat this for the rest of my life.and that it was the best comfort foods or delicious foods in a restaurant. All my opinion. But I love the complex and exotic type indian foods not so much as simple. :D(see that I have over reacted after reading the rest) The service may not be 5 star but the food is

I have been to this place twice in 2 weeks for lunch buffet on weekday. The place is definitely cramped a bit but otherwise have great good for vegetarians.I started with mint chutney and Onion pakoda which i would say was good. Next was Choley Batura and butter nan. Nan and batura are quite thick which is not unusual for restaurants in US. Saag and Brinjal curry was great to have. Make sure that you dont have any work in the afternoon. Somehow you get lot of sleep after having lunch here. I guess food is very heavy here.

A delightful restaurant. I had the Karabi Chicken and it was extremely delicious. The chicken was tender, and the brothy stew of onions just added to the flavor. Their entire staff is extremely polite and courteous. The atmosphere is cozy in a positive way, with a nice external (but covered) patio area in front. They offer a specific 4 level gradient of spiciness for pretty much any dish. And the "extra spicy" end is certainly a (pleasant) challenge.

Weekday lunch buffet is compact but good. Tandoori, nun, and vegetarian items are above average with some consistency. On one occasion the Sagg was best Ive had; it was fresh and I could taste the spinach like no other. The kheer was a 4star delicacy in itself. Located in heart of down town Pleasanton with easy parking but only gripe is the small quarters. Its rather cramped and tight inside.

We had been to this place around 1.30 and we were surprised to know that buffet will be closed after 2 and no food will be supplied !! Saddest part is they did not informed this earlier. Coming to food, Typical Indian food which was tasty and I would like to rate 2.5 out of 5 for food. We get many good restaurant than this near by.

Good food. Weird atmosphere. We got seated inside at first and there were a couple other people but it was dead quiet. Doesnt seem like it should matter but no ambient noise made things awkward. Once we sat out front in the enclosed, covered patio kinda area, it was cool. Food was quite good.

Ive only ever been here for the lunch buffet because its $10 and the regular entrees are a little pricey. That said, its probably the best Indian buffet Ive had, a lot of vegetarian options as well as some delicious butter chicken. They serve fresh naan to your table as well!

This is my current local favorite Indian restaurant. Its not cheap, but its well worth the cost. Every time I walk downtown I can smell them cooking up a storm and I am always tempted to stop in for dinner. Anyway, highly recommended.

Ive been here several times. The food is very good. Most entrees are $10-$14. There is a lunch buffet, I think its 9.99 or 10.99. Parking is limited but there are usually spaces on the street.

Very good Indian food in the pleasanton area. Vegetarian options are great and spice level is perfect. I prefer take out as tables are not big and space is limited.

The food here is very good and for the price you cant beat it. The only downside is the lack of space. There is usually a wait because of the limited seating.
