The good: the place has nice ambiance, outdoor seating (with heaters), and what looked like a fully stocked bar. The bad: the food seemed overpriced for what it was: average tasting, skimpy (not Michelin star small, but definitely no leftovers) plates. My lobster ravioli was $31 and had 5 average-sized dumplings and a few shrimp. The same plate would be $20ish at most other places. The deserts were reasonably priced, but pretty boring. Finally, our server, Martin was below average. He skipped me when taking drink orders, wasnt around to fill water glasses, and when asked about entrees he simply described them as "good". Not impressed.

We went there on Saturday and the service was horrible and the food was bad. I ordered a medium done rib eye steak, and it came so dry and so overcooked I couldnt eat half of it even though I was hungry. Me wife ordered a Chianti wine and it tasted like vinegar. I understand it can happen that a wine bottle is bad, but when I told the waitress she said that they tried the wine and it is good! Are you kidding me!!! Go there if you want to ruin your night!

Came back after an initial visit a year ago, and the food was just as tasty and consistent as before. They have a 3 course dinner option pairing some of their entrées with any salad and any dessert; its worth it if you are planning to get one of those entrées. Wine list is quite nice as well, although Id prefer more sparkling wine options. Overall a nice experience.

Ordered two specials of the day for lunch ...gazpacho with crab and a flat bread with chicken. Both were outstanding and the service was excellent. The blend of flavors for the gazpacho could only be done by an extremely talented chef. We shared a Bananas Foster which also spoke to the chefs talents.

We really enjoyed the dinners at Baci, came three times while we stayed in Pleasanton for vacation. The cocktails are great, the menu did not vary much, but we waded through it with delight. The wines were good and the service was attentive. We will come back!

Great place for dining and wining! Excellent food... Real authentic Italian dishes... Although nobody spoke Italian... But doesnt matter! Dining is like sitting on some Italian Plaza! Dont miss when in Pleasanton... One of the best restaurants here!

when I walked into the Baci Bistro and Bar I was not pleased with the greeting. the food was not as hot as I would like it. my drink was watered down and I just walked with no tip. That is not me but how could you have such bad service.

I prefer to sit inside at this place because the afternoon sun makes it tough sitting outside. Food is really good but menu doesnt ever seem to change so hard to come here too often without getting bored of the selection.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary, the best dinner we have had; great service, we had the dinner 3 course menu and was delicious. Good atmosphere, and our waiters were attentive. Congratulations!!!!

The waiter just left the complimentary bread on the table and did not give any plates. Had to ask another waiter to provide them. Very very slow service. Food was mediocre. Would not recommend this place.
