5/20/15 Came in here on a Sunday morning with my husband and two friends who had spent the night with us the night before. The estimated fifteen to twenty minute wait was accurate and we were being seated in an oversized booth before we knew it. The size of the booth plus the layout of the place and its noise level created an atmosphere where we were yelling to one another across the breakfast table. Our server poured some coffees and took our order. She apologized twice for how long it was taking, and we didnt receive our food for about forty minutes after the order was taken. One side order egg was forgotten altogether. I ordered the corned beef and hash with eggs over medium (over-cooked when they came out) and five potato pancakes. Delicious!! I dont think Ive had a potato pancake before and I smothered them in sour cream and hot sauce. Portions were big and I took a little to go home at the end of the meal. Our friends gluten free pancakes came on big plates and they At the register, a big sign reads: "No splitting checks at the register". Not wanted to make my guests pay for our share of the meal, I had to buy the $70 breakfast myself. Is there something difficult about running two credit cards? Food was pretty good, but dining experience overall was pretty retched.

We didnt even make it to the food... Went in with my husband on a Saturday afternoon and were seated promptly as the restaurant was mostly empty but the fun began when I asked for breakfast tea. I asked what type of tea they had and I was told that he didnt know but they have a basket or tea to choose from. The tea was delivered to the table efficiently but a few moments later we heard the same waiter talking loudly and disrespectfully to a coworker about the fact that I had even ordered a tea. Comments were exchanged between the two to the effect of "who does she think she is", "who even orders tea", "does she even know shes in California", "why would she ask what kind of tea we have", "this isnt that kind of place", etc. I didnt pour my tea, we just left. Im not so much personally offended, I love tea (and coffee too) but no customer should be insulted by waitstaff asking for something they have on the menu. And, probably more for the staffs benefit than the customers, you probably shouldnt insult a customer loudly when your service station is not soundproof.

Horrible service in-house every time, and if you try to place an order over the phone, forget about it. Even if the person who answers the phone knows their menu (hasnt happened to me yet), you have to shout into the phone to be barely heard because their phone is right next to their galley, and they cant hear anything. Have them move away to take the order you say? Well that idea never occurs to them.. They would rather set the phone down until you hang up, then of course if you try to call back you simply get a busy tone because they havent hung the phone up. So their phone is inaccessible for the entire breakfast service. This happened to me on two separate occasions. We only order from there because my wife likes the crepes, but I will never order from there again.

Sure hope it was an off day. (Morning midweek, slow) The service was good. The guy helping us was quite nice. Drinks were warm, watered down, very little carbonation. (all drinks from the fountain). Seems as if it doesnt chill the sodas properly. Potato pancakes were raw in the middle, a little to much crunch of undone potatoes. The waffles are not Belgium type, theyre small hole and thin, almost like a pancake. I did like the flavor of the waffles but was a surprise since most places have larger Belgium waffles. Bacon was larger dry and crispy. He did ask if I wanted it crispy or medium and chose medium. I would gather that they may precook the bacon and leave it sitting. Everything else was ok.

We had an amazing experience here early one weekday morning when it was dead - just two of us in the whole place. We had just gotten coffee at Starbucks across the way when we realized we were hungry and came here to eat. We were afraid they wouldnt like us bringing in outside drinks and not ordering their own coffee, but they didnt care. The waitress helped both of us figure out what to order, and even gave us the "senior discount version" of one of our meals since what we wanted was almost the same as the senior meal anyway (neither of us are seniors). Excellent service.

Not sure why I liked my visit here but its your classic all American breakfast place. Unlimited refills on the house coffee. What did strike me as generally awesome was the bacon! Generous sized portions, not much fat, cooked crispy as I asked for it and tasted wonderful. Maybe thats why I came here? A recommended for a place that serves great bacon? Because they do. The pancakes I had were good as well. Lots of options on the menu. I think I even saw a plain chicken breast and veggies for the bodybuilder in you? Anyway, order the bacon and ask for it crispy!

Weve been coming to the Pleasant Hill location since it opened. Have always had great pancakes and the best (thickest) Bacon ever (well done). I love their French crepes with Tropical syrup while husband keeps bouncing between Swedish crepes and plain buttermilk pancakes. Always have had good service; sorry to hear others have had different story. We wish it was open for dinner because breakfast for dinner is always great!

I was dissapointed with their exstreamly sticky flooring when anyone walked acrossed the floor it sounded like shoes where being ripped from the floor; and both bottoms of My and my husband shoes where covered in a sticky substance "after walking about four blocks home our shoes continued to be sticky once home! I have to say that I will never return. My advice is take more effort into cleanliness. I was Grossed out!

The bacon and white cheddar omelet is tasty!! with thick cut pieces of bacon and melted gooey cheese. The omelet is not greasy and is a big portion size, also its baked so dont expect it to look like a typical looking folded omelet. Ive tried the coconut pancakes and the chocolate chip pancakes. Both are yummy!! They have so many options if pancakes I dont think u can go wrong with choosing one.. It all looks good!

Very good, and everyone is very friendly, but the portion sizes are giant and I thought it was strange that they do not have any avocados. We have CA avocados in Florida, but I cant find them in California. Came in again today on my way out of town. I had gluten-free blueberry pancakes and they wereally very good, but the best part was my waiter, Julio! So charismatic and friendly! He made my morning!

I would give the service four stars for replacing a burnt apple pancake with a good one for free. The wait time after being seated was a little long, but our server was very friendly and helpful. She made sure we were taken care of. The restaurant has a cheery atmosphere, noise included. The food was pretty good - good enough that i took home leftovers, although it was a bit overpriced.
