3.5 stars, rounded up. Good: - Easy parking - Prompt and friendly service - A lot of regulars and restaurant staffers who warmly greeted them by name - A large variety of dishes to choose from - Food wasnt unduly heavy or greasy Okay: - Pricing tended mildly towards the high end for a straightforward comfort-food diner, but probably about what one would expect for Silicon Valley. $20 after tax/tip for a modest breakfast. - Presentation: The beans were nearly overflowing from my plate. - Atmosphere: Not too loud, reasonably comfortable. I had the chilaquiles plate: corn chips topped with two eggs (any style), with a generous portion of homefries and beans on the side. The chilaquiles were a bit too spicy for my liking, but perhaps Im just accustomed to the bland-wimp-guy version sans chiles and such. The potatoes seemed a little undercooked; I prefer mine crispier. But these were still flavorful. And the refried beans, er, how can you go wrong there? The coffee was fine (better than usual diner quality) and the fresh-squeezed OJ was quite refreshing. Will I be back? Probably. Im hankering to try their fruit pancakes or french toast next time; Ive heard especially great things about their banana pancakes :).

Bajis is an amazing gem in Mountain View. Ive been here twice and Ive never been disappointed. The service is absolutely friendly and every server out there has the best and warmest attitude Ive seen in food service, hands down. Oh, and did I mention the food is pretty damn good too? The menu itself is chock full of so many choices - you might not know what to get at first. So far I have enjoyed the chicken and waffles (delicious the first time, a little over seasoned I felt when my wife got it last). I also got the chicken fried steak and last time one of the skillets with chorizo - it was to die for. Personally, I highly recommend one of the skillets to try here first. Portions are generous, coffee is bottomless, and the bustling is nonstop for good reason - Bajis kicks ass. Im a customer for life now.

(4.5 stars rounds up to 5.) Bajis has excellent breakfast and brunch type food in a classic diner setting. First, let me set out that their staff makes the experience of eating there fantastic. They actively get to know their clientele. If you go enough or strike up an honest conversation with them theyll start to address you by first name and even remind you to call ahead so they can have your food can be ready for when you get there. Ive had their breakfast options most-- pancakes, ham, eggs, breakfast burrito. I have to say, it comes out pretty fast, and its executed so well. The food is so satisfying. Dont forget about bottomless coffee, too. My only qualm is the price: it is just a few bucks higher than I thought it would be. No matter. I keep going back. Its too good to pass up for $3.

Although located in a non-descript plaza across from car rental/repair stores, stepping inside Bajis is like stepping back in time into a fun diner. The wait staff and the manager are friendly. The food is good. I love their special smoothies, and waffle with strawberry/whipped cream. My husband who is a great fan of diners really like this place too. I just discovered this place recently and been there twice. Seems like they are always full on weekends. They seem to have a lot of repeat customers as evidenced by the wait staff friendly greetings to certain customers. I think I will be coming back here frequently for the next few years.

I went here on a nice Saturday morning to have some brunch with a few friends. A Googler recommended me this place earlier. I felt that if the food in this cafe can beat the food in Googles cafeteria, which is free for the employees, and known to be very delicious with high quality, I just had to try it. And I wasnt disappointed. They have a unique item called Vegetarian Delight omelette. The omelette has falafel, eggplant, onion, tomato and feta cheese. Seriously though, where else can you get an omelette with falafel? Im a pure carnivore and just had to try it. It was delicious. Thats all I can say.

Excellent food and one of the friendliest staff Ive experienced. The price is not bad, especially given the large portions they give you. The tables and restrooms are very nice as well. My only gripe with breakfast here was the long wait for our food to be prepared. We ended up waiting 30+ minutes from when they took our order until our food finally arrived. It was a busy time however, and they apologized for the wait and offered us free bacon and other foods on the house. Overall I was was pleased with my experience and would recommend it.

"Diner" tradicional americano. Desayunos con huevos y patatas "hash brown". Servicio rápido y simpático, con su clientela que viene cada día. Precios sin exagerar. A cinco minutos en coche de Google, pero los clientes no eran trabajadores de esta empresa.

Did a takeout on a weekend for 3 dishes. Seriously waited over 45 min just for a takeout, and they got every single thing wrong. Ordered chicken and waffles, and instead got waffles and eggs (dont think that eggs turning into a chicken anytime soon). They also explicitly asked me what toasts I wanted on the other two dishes, and when I came back home to eat, there were no toasts to be found. First and last time Im ever coming here. Not necessarily cheap (much better stuff downtown MTV), and not worth the time either.

Only went to this place once for breakfast: food -- average, ordered biscuits and gravy (bad), egg (average) and a hash brown (good); coffee -- on a bad side; bloody marry -- good amount of alcohol but no flavor to it. Maybe I should have ordered Mexican dish.. Service was good, the place was crazy crowded but people managed to keep everything running smoothly. I liked their set up too, but we were sited outside, not sure how it would be inside. If not for the food I would come back to this place.

Looking for the breakfast places in mountain view. This showed up first. The pictures in the yelp makes you think theyre the best. The restaurant was very busy. I dont mind waiting to get seated. Waiters were nice in taking orders and explaining the menu items. Omlettes named on the local roads. Ordered Central expressway omlettes. Everything was so overcooked and oily. Probably made in a hurry. Didnt feel like eating at all. Got out of that place and went to Castro street.

here to have breakfast on a Sunday while my car was being smogged. The cafe is located in mechanic row in mountain view (old Middlefield road). The service is friendly and quick. The food is acceptable. The salsa on my heuvos ranchero isnt fresh but from a jar. The tortillas are pretty average. Coffee is below average for this area. Pricing matches the food quality and very good for the service. Will come back and try other menu items.

Without a doubt the nicest place Ive been for breakfast in the bay area. To start with the service is exemplary, friendly chatty staff, who take an interest. Clearly have a loyal local clientele. Im not local, but felt very welcome. The food is good for general breakfast fare, plus they have many Mexican breakfast option, so quite an extensive menu. They dont rush you, so you can relax and eat your breakfast! Recommended.
