rude employees... its not like going to in-in-out where no matter how busy they are, the employees are never pushy or rude. I wish every drive thru was like that. Majorly disappointed how i have been coming here for over 25 years and realized the women who have been serving me lately are rude. Came in around 12:30, waited in a long line and got to the order speaker. I atempted to order a tops quesadilla and before i got the last syllable out she starts with WHAT MEAT... i said, what did you say..?. WHAT MEAT DO YOU WANT. first of all... thats not how you ask someone. secondly... she seeme aggravated i replied back asking what meats come on it, (which she ignored) i thought the tops quesadilla had a set meat... I havent had it but I thought it was pastrami and whatever else like the burger.... i never ordered a tops special burger and been asked WHAT MEAT. I understand being busy, but these retail customer service employees should get another job if you dont like taking orders and speaking repetitively all day. Im a nice person who tips well and has good manners. im just tired of being treated badly. As for the guy complaining about food poisoning below. .. I had some food poisoning when i was maybe 9 years old from here. Me and my step dad split a large chili cheese fry and it felt like aliens were trying to claw out of my stomach. My step dad spent about 3 hours on the toliet. We didnt come back for years after that.

I came to this place because it happened to be in the area where I was assigned to work. There are a lot of fast food restaurants here but I picked this one because of 5 stars it has and would like to try something new. Would I say that the staff was rude? No, not at all. They have friendly and cheerful workers here and workplce is super clean in and out. The reason why I gave 1 star is because I was disapointed by my order. I ordered their famous Kobe burger which has gained a lot of stars here on review, small fries and drink which costed me $14.24€. To be honest, both the burger and fries had a different taste than my expectation. I am NOT trying to be rude but the taste was fake. I would say that it was a sort of food poisoning. I ended up tossing them and remained hungry. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend anyone to order that expensive meal that would turn him into disappointment.

I frequently go to the OG Tops near my house with my Best Friend to get the Bacon Avocado burger, SMALL fries (yea, those are small size fries, and yea that burger doesnt just look big, its huge), and I dont care how much that ranch dressing is I usually buy 2 and drink it while I walk back to the table its so good (Their ranch is the best). But I dont really drink it, I dip my fries in it. The fries are delicious unique, not the same as anywhere else and actually better than In-N-Out fries. They use regular food. I was born in Pasadena and have lived here my whole life, tops has been here that entire time. Great Food, CHECK THEM OUT FOR SURE!!!

I have come here a couple times and I am usually satisfied with their service and food, but not today I was really disappointed. First of all I had to ask someone to take my order since no one was on their register and paid any mind that I was there. The most disappointing part was that I ordered an avocado bacon cheeseburger and got charged for one as well, to only get home and see that they only gave me a bacon cheeseburger. Where is my avocado?! So disappointing especially since this was one of my favorite burger joints.

Best breakfast burritos in Pasadena, and Ive had them all. Salsa Verde tops it off. Their junior cheeseburgers with grilled onions are fantastic as well, and you can never go wrong with a side of zucchini sticks. Prices really arent that crazy if you look at the average fast casual price these days. Ingredients are light years beyond fast food chain garbage. If youre looking for an inexpensive option the junior burgers, breakfast burritos with no meat or breakfast sandwiches without meat are nice options.

Was around the area & got hungry waiting for my sister at the DMV.I knew she would take a while so got hungry & drove Around & spotted this place.I must say it is nice looking inside & out so i decided to order a Cheeseburger,Wow was it huge & looked appetizing.Once i bit it i noticed right away the cheese was cold.Not only that the burger had no flavor!Was dissapointed where my $3.79 went (Tax Included)would not reccomend the burgers here to no one,go somewhere else!

Purely based on an evening drive-thru experience. For onion rings... The regular size is gigantic- the portion filled the entire box. We shared it among 4 people and it was definitely enough. The onion rings were crispy without being greasy, and the batter had great crunch while the onion on the inside still had texture. It wasnt mushy or soggy or overdone, which was great. The drive-thru didnt take very long on a Friday night, around 11pm. Nice.

This is the second location (as far as I know) and the better location in terms of parking and cleanliness. LOVE their fries and even more so their chili fries. Everything else comes second in my opinion, but they do have pretty good burgers and their chicken sandwich is pretty darn good too. Theres a parking lot and drive through available but I like parking on the street. The place gets busy but never too busy to find an open table.

As a Postmates Courier, it is important to have an order correctly executed. This morning, it was a three star experience. Order was missing a key component. Luckily, I caught it before leaving the establishment so as to correct it. But it affected my morning by making me late to my delivery, which caused a chain reaction to the rest of my morning deliveries. So, I pass the rating for this delivery on to The Original Tops!

I get it....it is Historic and a older brand but come on, for the price it falls out of the relm of being a greasy spoon. Ive tried the chili fries, the pastrami burger. After I blew my diet for the week I just didnt feel it was worth it. There are little spots out there that deliver the effect this place tries to give. The fries and chili, nothing original, the burger was big but not memorable.

Pretty pricey for a standard burger joint. Over $15 for a small drink, avacado burger and small chili cheese fries. I dropped the chili cheese fries and spent $10 on the burger and small drink. The burger looks impressive and tastes good but had a half of an iceberg lettuce wedge stuffed in there. The actual patty is standard size, I.e. pretty thin.

A better example of the greasy mom-and-pop burger joints were all familiar with. They have a pretty wide variety of items on the menu. Portions are pretty big, to the point that even small sizes will leave you stuffed. The zucchini fries are especially good. The recent addition of $5 draft beer makes eating inside even more attractive as well.
