A pinch of romance and a dash of intimacy best describes Bodega Wine Bar. I went here for Happy Hour (5pm-7pm) on a Tuesday after work to relax and wait for traffic to die down on the 110 S. This place is a tiny oasis located in the bustling mall so theres plenty of parking and also other restaurants and shops to go an peruse through if you get bored. But I promise you wont You will and have to fall in love with this place especially if your a lone pup like myself looking for some peace and quiet. I brought a book to read and the ambiance is that calming that you could come and read and relax. When I arrived it wasnt many people. Maybe about 3 other couples which was nice because I got to people watch. I sat out on the patio. It wasnt too noisy and the heat lamps kept me nice and cozy. I ordered two different wines a dessert wine and and white white from South Africa. Il conte dalba- moscato dasti which was the dessert wine was by far my favorite. I love sweet wines and this one was so flavorful and smooth that it appealed to my palate . Definitely recommend this one if your craving a sweet wine. Chenin blanc - la capra s. Africa was the second wine I tried and to be honest I got it because it had "Africa" in it and I wanted to support the motherland. But boy was this an interesting drink. Mixture of bitter but addict-ily delicious. I cant even describe it in words cause I hated and loved it at the same time. It was a total clash of taste-gasm/vomit. Needless to say I drank the whole glass both relived and saddened that it was gone. It was an odd experience cant say I recommend it but you should try it for yourself. Overall I really enjoyed my time here. Tuesday after work wasnt crowded and didnt feel like a lonely loser which was awesome. Had some tasty and inexpensive wine which was a plus.

Wine bars are tough because everyone is looking for something different. Having been to a variety of wine bars, I can definitely say that this one is pretty casual and fun. Ive been a few times and things have been consistently good. Service can be hit or miss depending on where you sit and how busy they get. It seems like theyve neglected to bring in additional servers on the busier nights. I tend to go mid-week, so this hasnt been an issue. The food Ive tried has been respectable. That said, I didnt expect the best food in the world for these prices. In my opinion, the prices are fantastic given the quality and quantity. The happy hour and nightly deals are also pretty sweet. Two pizza dinners and a bottle of wine on a Wednesday night came to $34 before tax and tip. You cant beat that. In terms of atmosphere, theres something for everyone, from outdoor seating to the bar to the cozy couches in the back. The bottom line is that this place can be fantastic if you manage your expectations. The earlier in the week you go, the better the experience.

Walk in... Grab a spot... Enjoy the outdoor seating and mellow vibe of this place! The ambiance is nice & relaxing, allowing you to sip your wine in the wonderful So Cal weather. Friend was in a "winey mood", I wasnt, but I remembered seeing this place from others check-ins. And parking was easy to find there at the Paseo mall - only $6 with validation. Menu is somewhat limited, so dont go when hungry (borderline hangry) like I was! Mainly pizza/flatbreads & salads, but a couple other things. We kept it simple and tried those other things, cause we were moving on... Glass of white, ale, fingerling potatoes, bbq braised beef sliders. All were yummy, though nothing outstanding. Except for our waitress... OUT STAN DING... Sadly, I cant recall her name! Oh well... The cheese plate we constantly saw being delivered to all of our table neighbors looked amazing! Will have to come back when Im in a wine & cheese mood! For now, nothing to really "wine" about! :)

Ive been going to Bodega since it opened many years ago. I havent been there for a while now, but after going last night, I realized that things definitely do change. What was once a comfortable lounge with solid music, is now an excessively loud, typical Pasadena night life spot. The Sauvignon Blanc I ordered was seriously nasty and after waiting to see if I could exchange it for a different selection, I found that the bartender was more interested in chatting up the girls at the end of the bar than noticing that I was not drinking/looking for service. He was also completely wasted and was even telling customers that that was the case. I finally asked for my check, at which point he STILL didnt notice that my wine had gone untouched! I paid and left... Dont think Ill be going again. To the owners, I know youre focused on your new locations, but dont let your home base go under. Cheers.

Any bar with a dj that plays the 90s is always a good spot for me. This joint is much sweeter than any other bodega bar chain. None of that hollywood feel to it. Great drinks, some good snacks. And the times ive gone there, i had free shots/taster from the waitress..i guess promoting whats new. Bottom line, it was free and got my buzz goin :)

There are many places in city but this is now one of my favorite places in Pasadena, CA for cocktails.Their signature drink basil gin certainly good but you should ask the bar tender to make throw something with bourbon if you like.Tried Manhattan with a twist and also smokey and spiced which too good.

Best wine bar Ive come to enjoy since moving to Pasadena. Great ambiance and people. Good music. Packed Friday and Saturday night, as it should be. Not a club, just a good bar to hangout with friends. I love their food too.

Great wine bar atmosphere. Had good music and affordable wine bottles on special Wednesday night. The pizzas are larger than you would expect, could easily feed 2 people each. What more could you ask for.

Great happy hour deals on pizza and beer. A nice spot for a romantic date night without over doing it. Usually a DJ on weekend nights. Great outdoor patio space. All of the food is pretty good here.

We really enjoy this fun little place, and I like the menu layout and food and wine selections. My favorite wine is the Testarossa chardonnay paired with the bruschetta & artichoke tapenade.

Must have: sweet corn cappelletti with chanterelles, anything with Bodega Wine Bar, orichette. Everything is delish and pasta is so fresh. Still our go to place for pasta.

Wednesday is Andrew Jackson Night. All bottles are $20 flat. This is the best time to go. This is the only time I go. So I cant really say more.

My favorite place to have a drink period. The food is great and on the weekends they have a DJ and the place "turns up"
