Totally liked it. I have been frequenting this pub for 2 years. Stays true to the beer even though they dont carry my favourite Sam Adams but a Newcastle or Stella comes close. I love the laid back no sweat atmosphere. The Barmaids are these All America Girls. Blond and very much in shape, extremely polite. I love to tip this staff. And They have the tastiest appetizers outside of the norm. Try the Crab-cakes! Awesome! real tender crab-meat with a bitching sauce a good bite. And the fish and chips..well you get a humongous serving, very filling! I love the seared tuna sashimi..so good. I stick to appetizers because I keep on my diet that way, dont overeat and this affords me to savour different foods. Sometimes I have a mouth watering Hamburger, just great! The food feels very clean and fresh! My 8yr old daughter loves this place! Nothing is ever out of reach or a problem for this staff and during happy hour, you get a very welcoming discount. The only down is that the outside seating sometimes gets neglected, so I normally order directly from the Bar. But all in all. Brilliant!! And today I had Andrea aka Anna as my server and Bartender. She is the epitomy of grace.

We have been here a few times in the past and decided to walk over during the TGPLB weekend for some better food and beer. The beers were cold and the food was decent but the service was weak. After five minutes of waiting for a greeting or service from anyone I had to leave my table and walk to the bar to order drinks because your servers were inattentive and not very friendly. We finished those beers before anyone greeted us and ultimately had to flag down someone to help us for more drinks and to place a food order. After all the horrible service I found out you charged an automatic tip to my bill without any notification or signage stating “we have bad service here, regardless how you think you were treated and served by your server you must still tip”. I’m going to fight that auto tip with my CC company because you cannot make someone tip especially for service that was sub-par. No need to respond to my post because with all the bad reviews you already have everyone will know I speak the truth and it will just make you look sad & pathetic trying to come up with an excuse.

Im going to start this review sad, disappointed, robbed and hurt from this place. Last night, my wife and I invited some relatives to visit us from out of state and we decided to take them here; We order food, a few drinks and when the waiter gave us the total bill, we decided to pay with cash and credit card. Well! "THAT WAITER" kept the cash (he stole) and charged everything on my wife credit card and when we told him what he did, he confronts my wife with a bad, bad attitude saying we never gave him cash. I asked him to please check the cameras to prove that we gave him cash money and one credit card; he and his manager said dont have access to the cameras password only the owner. We wait for 1 hour to resolve the issue until I had to call Long Beach Police Department to come and check the cameras and unfortunately the cameras are not too clear (too old) to review anything. sad! This place lost customers, $$ and all my friends who hangout every week there. We Love Long Beach but not this place.

Im glad I gave it a shot. In town for a couple of days and I don;t need to visit the chains that are at every place I ever travel to. Great causal, no pretense atmosphere. Irish Nachos were a real treat for a nacho aficionado. Something different, but did not disappoint. Hot jalapenos, crisp waffle fries in place of chips, chili in place of the ground beef, real cheese (albeit Californian, not Wisconsin - real nonetheless). Nachos were a meal for one, not as big as we get back home, where a nachos appetizer will typically suffice as a meal for two. Didnt have room to try the corned beef, but maybe next time. Friendly staff, great service, nice atmosphere with an outdoor seating view of the marina east and water west without the crowd of a few of the neighboring patios. I was distracted by the interesting offering on the menu - Ive been searching the seven corners of the earth for the perfect ruben, so, if the corned beef lives up to an authentic Irish CB, Ill upgrade this to 5 stars.

Great atmosphere, nice open air pub. Spinach Artichoke dip was good, with plenty of chips. My wife ordered the fish and chips, and the fish was delicious and fluffy, "seasoned" fries were quite bland. I ordered the reuben, which had too much thousand island and not enough sauerkraut. Garlic fries were literally just steak fries with a pile of minced garlic thrown on top. So that was not very appetizing. Service was good, considering how busy it was. Staff was quite friendly. The guy running food and business tables was legitimately on top of everything. Impressive stuff. Bottom Line: Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Good drink selection. But the reuben and fries seemed somewhat bland (with the exception of the battered fish, which was fantastic). Would recommend, but Id probably order something different next time.

Never again! I live in Long Beach and frequent restaurants at least twice a week. This was my first time there. Dont do the happy hour tacos. We had the fish and chicken. The fish was soggy and the chicken dry. Both had just a dab; of salsa. My brother, who never complains had Shepherds pie. I asked h im how his meal was and he said it was cold. Upon leaving,a family deciding whether to go in, asked us what we thought, we all said forget it! Also, we were told we had to buy water because of the drought. What about the plastic bottles and the environment? One star was for sitting in the sun

Food and experience was OKAY at best. Then we were told we couldnt bring home leftovers?!? The food MUST be thrown out. Was told "If you want to bring home leftovers, then EVERYONE will want to bring home leftovers". What kind of logic is this? If I cannot finish my food I should be able to bring it home, I paid for it..... EDIT: While I appreciate the reply, no-where did I mention ordering Take-Out, I was simply trying to take home LEFT OVER FOOD from the meal I ordered. You must train your staff better to understand the difference between Left Overs and separately ordered Take-Out.

Out-of-towners here ... For an Irish pub Shenanigans is quite good. Definitely not on the quiet side but good Irish pub grub. Service was a bit chaotic but our several servers did get the job done. Their one mistake was that they gave us one of our courses cold right out of the refrigerator. It was supposed to be hot. They apologized, gave us a hot one and did so on the house. Customer service is *always* #1 with me and in doing so they went from 3 to 5 stars immediately. Would go again when in the mood for Irish grub next time we are in town.

This is a great spot to chill on a sunday. They have a live band playing in their patio and friendly patrons. I also like the fact that it doesnt get too crowded and the leather couches are pretty comfortable. I tried their sausage breakfast burrito and it was awesome. One of the male bartenders isnt very friendly and even though we kept tipping him 50% every time we ordered something he didnt seem to appreciate it. A simple "thanks" wouldve been cool. Oh well. Minus 2 stars for that.
