Orinda doesnt offer much seriously, but This place has the only truly free wifi. At starbucks you have to buy a card and go to their site, register and likely be tracked etc etc. Peets has the best coffee in town but their insulting internet code thing takes me 10 minutes of tinkering to get to work only half the time. This place is literally attached to the library so is a great place to study. A downside for me is that it is also right next to the community center so you get a ton of children coming in from time to time. Its still the best place to hang if your stuck in this sorry little town though

Best coffee place in Orinda. I love their egg breakfast sandwich and the Illy coffee (very strong). It has a great atmosphere, open, lots of light, lots of people reading and on their computers. Great local place. Not the huge lines in the morning like the chain stores.

One of the things that make this a great spot is that it is attached to the Orinda Library. It is surrounded by cool sculptures. The coffee was good and I had some sort of apple pie coffee cake which was delicious.

Great coffee spot with outdoor seating, yummy snacks, and good breakfast and lunch options. Perfect for killing time before the library opens and great on a hot day.

A nice alternative to chain coffee shops. Coffee (illy) is excellent. Friendly staff. Pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Wonderful place to sip tea, watch the water fountain, bask in the sun, or sit in the shade of an umbrella. Free wifi makes it all complete!
