Watched a barista go from mopping floors and moving floor mats to making coffee WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS IN BETWEEN TASKS! When I asked she wash her hands, she rolled her eyes and put on gloves. Im a chef & kitchen manager, so I know this is not only gross, but against SafeServe practices. But it was the eye roll that got me. I have loved coming in the mornings for coffee, the baristas who work in the morning are awesome & smile and are generally hapy. I guess the afternoon crew gets to be the typical sullen, Im too good for this job" type. Mopping the floor an hour & a half before closing (while food is still being prepared) is lazy and shows that the employees are more interested in leaving than doing a good job of closing a kitchen. It will be a long time before I feel I can trust the food & drink isnt being handled by nasty, dirty hands.

Out of town, fancy coffee everywhere but no good coffee. Everyone seems more concerned about the type of pour rather than the quality of the beans. This was recommended as the best coffee in the area. I got coffee and espresso. The person at the counter did not know what my simple order was and had to ask the barista (who thankfully did). Both drinks I got were mediocre at best and they didnt have a full selection of add ons (no soy milk for example). Maybe it is west coast vs east coast differences but I was not impressed. This place wouldnt last in the South East.

I was disappointed to test my local coffee shop and get weak, stale coffee. There are so many mediocre places that serve a far batter brew. $3 for just coffee is also more than I pay in the San Francisco FiDi.

Excellent coffee, laid back vibe, lots of info on local happenings available. The bacon, egg, and cheese English muffin is strong. Anything cinnamon here is worth getting.
