I used to be a regular here when I lived in Alameda. The morning baristas are always so pleasant and always seem to remember what I want. Before every photo shoot or wedding Id come here and get my coffee. Or before wed go on a long road trip wed get our coffee and an snacks ($$$) here. Bad place to get snacks o fcourse because theyre so expensive and Walgreens is across the parking lot but coffee places are for those who are zombies before they get their coffee. "Coffee, ungghhhhhh. Expensive donut, unghhhhhhh." They recently renovated it and it looks fantastic. I think the only thing missing now is parking. The lot is shared with Walgreens and Kinkos which sometimes becomes an issue.

I rarely write reviews but today at this particular Starbucks was the worste. I come to this location because it is convenient, on the way home from the gym, and my wife loves Starbucks. The baristas taking the order are usually awesome, as they were today. However, If a store could be Jekyll and Hyde, this would be it. The service I have gotten from the baristas making the drinks is horrendous. I have not seen employees that hate customer service more than here at many other places. A smile and good attitude go a long way. I have told my wife that she will not be getting Starbucks from this place unless I feel extremely self deprecating and want my coffee with a side of self loathing.

I wish I wrote more reviews for people who do their job, this is not one of those reviews. Even when not busy dont expect your drink any faster. Im constantly amazed at the Awful customer service and how its usually started by the manager. At least I think she is the manager only because every other visit shes telling off another customer, and she defends the idea that a cup of coffee should take at least 20 minutes. Today ( 3rd time Ive had them refund me) I was the only one in waiting for a drink at the counter, and I watched the barista practice and train on mobile orders instead of the person in front. This place is Donald Trump Bad!

So someone in front of me in line was trying to get an employee discount by fraudulently using an employee number of someone else. After the store manager figured it out, she had the cashier politely ask for ID and the person just said dont worry about it. The manager and everyone else said no problem and rung them up like normal. The manager didnt make a big deal, nor the cashier. They just politely kept the line and drinks going. I was impressed they kept there cool and didnt make it awkward for everyone in line, it was all under the radar. Way to go manager! Nice store.

Most times they wont get your order right. If you ask for any add ons or make slight differences in your drink your most likely going to get a regular drink with nothing you asked for in it. Plus you HAVE to WATCH them make your drink! If you dont, your likely to get a horrible drink, with my experience the lady who made my drink put her nose to the side of my cup. Just horrible.

Bracketing all of the annoying Starbucks things like loud music and crowds, this location has some of the best outlet access and available table space in the area. Its always more crowded at night but during the day, even with College of Alameda across the street, you can usually find space to spread out and get work done. Just bring headphones

Make sure you tip when you pay or you will wait much longer for your coffee. I watched 10 others served who ordered after me while I waited. There is always a line out the door so Im sure they will not miss me. High prices, long lines and attitude. Sorry Ill go someplace else.

A good Starbucks but this afternoon the music was overbearing. Many people come in there to study and use their laptop and use the free Wi-Fi and blaring calypso music is not conducive to that. I think the situation this afternoon was the exception rather than the rule.

I go in the mornings around 7, always have friendly Batista team and drink made right. However getting beverages and food out is too slow.. as a former partner they need to be helping each other getting those drinks out faster! Theres no sense of urgency, or bar-back..

Worst run Starbucks I have ever been to. The management nags its employees and the employees dont give a dam. Takes 20 minutes to get a simple coffee. They never back fill or clean the creamer station and the outside is littered with garbage and cigarette buts.

I ordered on the mobile app, didnt have anything fancy just a Java chip frapp w/o whip and when I get there they give me a vanilla frapp with a heck load of whip cream. :( Full store but no one in line, the floor was sticky....
