Another day, another buffet.... But, not just any ordinary day, Thanksgiving Day! This Thanksgiving was the first in awhile where we didnt have a free turkey. Im not that big on turkey to begin with, so what more reason do I need than to hit up an Asian buffet. Hibachi Grill Buffet opened for business a few weeks ago. I received a flyer in the mail and decided to to celebrate the Harvest Festival (Thanksgiving) here. It is located at Norwalk Square, adjacent to the 99 Cent Only store. A lil ghetto, but reasonable. I called a couple of days before, asking if they were serving dinner all day for Thanksgiving. They said yes, so I was expecting the dinner selections. When we got there, they were serving only the lunch selections, which was a bummer, but we did save money because we paid the lunch price. Heres the breakdown (lunch)- Dining area-The dining room was clean & tidy. There is plenty of available seating & a private banquet room for large parties. I believe there are 2 flatscreen TVs to watch the game or whatever else that is on at the time. There are both booths & chairs for diners to park at. Hibachi grill- The grill area had the typical selections youd find at Great Khans in the mall. Bean sprouts, broccoli, onions, mushrooms etc. The meat selections were shrimp, beef, pork & chicken. I made sure to add heaps of minced garlic to my order because Im a garlic fanatic. Like BK, have it your way. There is also a crepe station on the left. I had a banana/strawberry/mango crepe drizzled with chocolate/strawberry syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar. Sweet! Sushi- The sushi bar had the usual California roll variants, along with tuna rolls, cream cheese rolls, veggie rolls and others. I mostly ate the California rolls with the roe on the outside. I was hoping for nigiri, but I think its just for dinner. The quality was decent for a buffet. Hot foods- When dining at Asian buffets, I opt for the seafood selections. I piled on the clams and shrimp cocktail and had my way with them. For soup, I had the egg flower soup, which was tasty & went well with the cold weather. There is a plastic container with green onions inside so patrons can add as much of them as they want, which is a nice touch. I asked if crab was available, but that is also only for dinner. Blue crab, specifically. Dessert- For dessert, there were a variety of fruits available - cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, strawberries, watermelon etc. Also available were various cakes, almond cookies, macaroons and other items. Of course, the ever present powdered ice cream machine beckons all who walk by it. I helped myself to a bowl or 3 before leaving, adding chopped peanuts & semisweet chocolate chips. Great way to cap off lunch. Overall, I found Hibachi Grill Buffet to be a quality, affordable buffet. $6.99 for lunch/Mon-Sat is a great deal. Seniors get 10%, too. Ill have to dine here for dinner to truly experience what Hibachi Grill buffet has to offer. But for lunch, its cheap & good. Recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOM

Service was very good, food trays were for the most part... filled. The food was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I mostly selected seafood. The cooked oysters were good. The mayonnaise shrimp.. not so much. I had a very small portion of roast beef but it didnt taste very good so I didnt finish the portion. The broccoli beef was very tough. Not the broccoli, but the beef. I had to use 2 hands to pull off a chunk with my teeth. Didnt finish the piece. The floor was oddly oily. I wore sneakers and I felt as if I was semi-skating. Cant comment on the price because I was here for a party. The price was right because it was free.

Often we always visit this place whenever we have birthdays and anniversary celebrations. My kids loves the food. So I rate this 5 stars for foods. The only thing that I want customers to be aware of whenever u are paying with the waiter , be sure u look closely the receipts before handing your money or a payment card and see what u really are paying of. I dont want to say anything ..... It was my sisters bday and her daighter and she argued with the waiter over the high charged. We all witnessd it. and oh I wont clarify more but... BE ALERT.... maybe we should do it wherever we want to eat., thats all.

This place is Horrible!!!! My moms church took her for her birthday and everything looked old. All I had was 1 plate of the roast, noodles, broccoli & white rice and it was awful. The noodles & broccoli were mushy and the rice was yellow & hard. The roast was sour tasting. By the time I got home I felt sick to my stomach & vomiting. Was not worth my money or drive there. I do not recommend this place at all unless you want old nasty food.. This is probably the worst place Ive ever eaten.

If I could rate no stars, I would. Absolutely horrid. The food is out for hours, picked at by every guest and then the remains are dumped on top of a fresher tray of food. The shrimp are just steamed, not even cleaned out!! Super unsanitary. The bathrooms are scary, dont bother. My boyfriend and I had one plate of barely any food, priced at 30$ and IMMEDIATELY after had to run into a restroom. Were literally ill hours later, please dont waste your time nor health.

Rating [3/5] because the place isnt bad their weekday lunch buffet is actually $7.99 now. And the place has a {B} rating. Their food over all is not bad but I only had the food on the hot islands I didnt try the grill nor the sushi. Youd have to be brave to eat sushi at a B rated restaurant. So overall not a bad place to have lunch but there are better Asian buffets out there than this one that offer better quality food for around the same price

The service was terrible and as soon as we sat down and started to get our food little brown bugs with lines on tgem started jumping around from the area with there food. I tried to discretely call over a waiter who rudely told me to wait. Never came back i got the manager and brought her over and she said "Its ok Ill dicount $3 " WTF... she said "ok enjoy" and still got charged $40 because she said we touched the food.

Very affordable, paid $13.00 for one meal on a Sunday evening (their most expensive meal time). Usually meals are about $10. Nice selection of food. They have a grill where someone will cook your choice of noodle stir fry ingredients. Crab legs and crawfish are only served at dinner time. Never too crowded. They recently begun serving Tuna and Salmon sashimi for dinner as well.

I came on a Sunday and this place is packed to the gills. The food itself is mediocre at best and the service can be a little slow given the capacity they have to handle. The interesting thing though, is they have a crêpe bar I havent seen that in a place like this before. Parking is also a nightmare.
