The food was beyond superb! The balsamic vinegar was totally amazing! And that was even before we got our orders. He makes really authentic Italian food, and has specials. We had the brie, soup, salmon, and risotto. We topped it off with tiramisu. Everything was fresh, amazing, and worth travelling to. Its located to the far right in a tiny strip, that also houses a little museum, and a tiny store and deli. He doesnt take credit cards, and he is pricey, but I would say hes worth it! He does have an ATM machine available if you dont carry cash. The place is not fancy, the dishes arent fancy either. He lets his food speak for itself. I highly recommend this for a dinner out! Your taste buds will thank you!

My wife and I happened upon Cucina Italiana yesterday. My wife is 100% Italian and parents come from the north of Italy and are all excellent cooks. Shes very critical of her Italian food. We were both blown away by the whole experience. Stefano, the owner and Chef, was really friendly and fun. The waitress, who rides a full dressed Harley, was great. We tried several things on the menu and they all passed my wifes critical palate. My non-critical palate loved it too. The atmosphere was wonderful, inside and out. When I say out Im referring to the Boccie court (where I dominated by the way). We cant wait to go back

This place is phenomenal! Old world, authentic Italian fare done extremely well. Stefano makes everything himself. Ive only been here twice so far, but everything I had was better than I have had it anywhere else by a longshot. Dining here is completely different than you will find at most Napa restaurants, or most restaurants in the United States for that matter, but if you want a unique experience reminiscent of the true Italian experience this is the only place Ive been to that has it. Prices are very reasonable. Make sure you are hungry and dont be in a hurry! You will want to savor every aspect of this experience.

This is 1 of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. Expescially being in the middle of nowhere like it is, and the chef definitely old school italian cooking I tell you what it dont get any better than this.and the chefs wife she knows everything when it comes to wine.and last but notleast the waiter is courteous,friendly,eficient and works his but off.so after reading this review just hesitate just call to make sure their open then get in your car and drive up to lake berryessa and what ascenic drive it is!!! Wonderful! This place is a little known establishment that is owned by a older Italian gentleman with a passion for Italian food/culture and motoring! I went there on a cruise with some car club friends and we all had a great time talking with the owner and eating DELICIOUS italian food. Ill definitely be back!

Fabulous!! Very genuine Italiano. You can just sense the pride in this Cucina off the usual Napa wine trail. A little curvy road up into the Napa mountains. Make sure you have some fuel and sobriety when you make the venture. Well worth it.

You can order Italian things from the menu, but you will get something that really isnt what it should be. The food was plain and didnt really have any taste.
