Had a horrible experience my first time ordering take out from Montebello Zankou location. The on line menu has Family Pack at $17 only to have my daughter pick up food and be charged $32.99 plus tax was $35.88. I called to clarify what I thought to be an error in being overcharged for Big Family Pack. I was then informed by Guadalupe that the price in website is NOT their price. They charge $32.99. That seems rather outrageous for one chicken, tabboleh, garlic sauce, hummus and 6 pitas. The petson taking order should tell you THEIR price and clarify that price listed on website is not correct. FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Will never order from there again. As an aside note--chicken was way too salty!! Horrible experience. Would never recommend to anyone.

Honestly, Ive gone to several Zankous and the one in Glendale is the best! This Zankou in Montebello has very bad Cashiers! They always seem confused when you speak. Also, they do not give you anything extras/condiments for free and dont allow substitions or options like the one in Glendale. The workers have serious unfriendly faces. They look miserable too be working there. If you can just go to the Glendale Zankou. The food is so delicious and the prices are decent. I love the half chicken plate. It feeds the entire family. The hummus, chicken and garlic paste are to die for! Love it.

I was really impressed...very good food and very reasonable prices. I understand that these are family recipes, handed down from grandma and grandpa who came from "the old country"...youd NEVER guess by walking by but SO worth stopping, or even traveling, to get. Kinda like fast food style but they have sit down tables and it looks really classy for a counter service restaurant.

I was looking forward to a delicious Mediterranean chicken wrap after reading reviews. The place was clean and staff was friendly. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. The pita however dry and not tasty. Most of the chicken pieces were hard and crunchy. The pickled turnips were not impressive and I like most all veggies. Oh well. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

The cashier was not friendly and did not offer me a cup of water like she did the group ahead of me. I visited Saturday around 5:30pm. I have never been to this location. The sandwhich was salty and not that tasty. I wish i had to the Pasadena location. They need to hire people that are better at customer service. Wont be going back.

Juicy and tasty roasted chicken, the beef tarna is also very good made with brisket . If you like garlic try their garlic spread. homus is on point once you have their food youll come back for more. Thank you "Zankou Chicken" !

Love Zankou, but I got there towards the end of the day... shwarma and tarna was dry... in all the years Ive been going to Zankou, especially in Glendale, this is the first time this happened. Still have love for Zankou though.

The shawarma meat was old over cooked and dry. Got sick after eating there, also this location is more expensive than the other ones. I will never ever ever EVER eat there again. Hope that Zankoo will close or improve.

Humus and garlic butter is so tasty. But I dont know if its this place necessarily or just that I like this food in general. But its convenient although pricey. Not usually busy good seating. And choices.

Over priced, Family pack cost in Glendale (17.99) here its (32.99). Asked them to cut up the chicken and told them if it was cut up as i left and they said Yes but got to my destination and it wasnt.
