I had been meaning to try Los Gatos Cafe for a while since I love brunch and it had so many good reviews, so I figured that on a Saturday morning when my fridge was lacking in the breakfast department that giving this place a shot would be fun. I suspected that there would be a wait, but after 45 minutes standing outside where it was kind of chilly, I started to get the grumpy hungries. I held off my hunger with their free coffee outside, but it was a little frustrating to have parties who arrived after me seated first so I went into the experience a little annoyed. Usually when I go into a meal being slightly disgruntled it takes a whole lot for me to get past it and truly enjoy the food. I ordered the Super Benedict since I wanted to test this place in the benedict department, and oh wow, even with my bad attitude going into the meal, this place won me over 100%. Hands down the best eggs benedict I have had to date. The one thing to keep in mind when you come here is that the food is great, but the customer service is lacking. It didnt bother me since I was extremely hungry at the time, but dont walk in expecting to be treated with a high level of attention. Its definitely an "eat and get out" kind of place, but if you know that going in, the food definitely makes it worth it. I highly recommend trying this place for brunch!

Breakfast is a meal that, most days, you don’t put much thought into and it is more a necessity than anything else. Weekends give us the option of opting for more of the same or something special. LGC is special. I have had many breakfasts out over the years but I can’t think of any other place in any other state that serves better breakfasts. The Irish Benedict and Chicken Apple Sausage California Benedict are out of this world. The Scramble has so much bacon that it can’t be anything but amazing. They Cinnamon Roll is the size of a baby’s head and has more butter and deliciousness than one should have but it is great to split with a partner or two in crime. If you are healthy (AKA boring) then they have some nice options for you as well...I’m not 100% sure but I think the Apricot French Toast is considered healthy since it contains fruit. =) And it is so durn good. Plus the potatoes…I come from the Midwest and potatoes are a part of most meals…but they are rarely as great as the ones from LGC.

Not for foodies :( Went here because of the rave reviews and was disappointed. The Eggs Benedict were drowning in oily, salty hollandaise that had no lemon flavor, and they were served with potatoes so greasy I didnt consider trying them (and I *love* hashed browns). My better halfs blueberry pancakes were just ok, served with fake maple syrup and watery whipped cream out of a can. Service was good and the atmosphere was friendly—but why do so many Bay Area restaurants get high marks for serving average food? We really need discrete ratings for food, service, and atmosphere. N.B. They dont take credit cards but they do have an ATM in back.

Worth the wait. This well attended breakfast/lunch place does solid representation of benedicts of all kinds. Ive have the Super, the Florentine, the seafood and California, and all are excellent. Their home fries are addicting. The crispy crust on the potatoes and onions with the tender inside makes them hard to stop eating. The sweets here are a winner with my kids. The pancakes range from small (dinosaur) to large (Mickey mouse). The German pancakes are a nice treat to share around the table. French toast is nice and crispy and juicy. Coffee never stops following and service is always with s smile.

One of our two faves for breakfast in Los Gatos, the other being the Southern Kitchen. My personal favorite treat is the apricot French toast with apricot syrup, but dont ignore all of the amazing benedicts, omlets, and home baked sweet treats. They serve Adelles chicken apple sausage and Italian sausage. It is so popular they have another location uptown! One great feature of this one is the dog-friendly patio. If you like dog watching, this is your place.

Benedicts galore! While there are tons of options here, the eggs benedict varieties are what keep me coming back. You cant really go wrong whatever you order though, and make sure to give the sweet stuff (cinnamon roll French toast!) a try at some point. This place is usually/always crowded for a good reason, and wait times can get long on weekends since they dont accept reservations or call-aheads. Plan to get there before 9, or plan to wait!

This cozy diner know how to do breakfast/brunch! Eggs of all kinds, pancakes, french toast, waffles, baked goods! I highly recommend the Vegetables Roma found under “Specials.” But I was so full I had bring the carrot bread that came with it home to eat later. There was no wait when we visited on a Monday, but it would have been worth standing in line to eat here. Important to note: Cash only. Your credit card will not be of any use here!

Food: 3 Decor: 3 Service: 5 Came here for lunch Wed around noon after finding street parking right behind. 1. Make your own omelette - chorizo, shrimp, crab, and avocado, 11 ~Disappointing. Huge portions, but there wasnt enough chorizo, the crab tasted gritty, and the eggs were overcooked. Hash browns were okay. Orange slice was mainly for display. Sourdough bread with strawberry and apricot jam was okay. Service was excellent.

Went to this cafe around 11am. The staff was nice, but the food wasnt the greatest. I ordered corn beef hash with sunny side up eggs.Well, the eggs came out, like rubber and I felt I could bounce them off the wall. The hash was burned, and dry. The potatoes look as if they have been sitting on the fryer way too long. Dont think Ill be eating there again. After all, I was just passing through LG and I was hungry

The morning I went there were probably more people in the building than fire code allowed. But the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful in finding something delicious. The food was spectacular. This review is from months later and my wife still wont stop talking about going back. "Yeah babe, let me just book cross-country plane tickets to get you a cinnamon roll..."

It is a nice brunch place in Los Gatos downtown. They have outdoor open seating, perfect for beautiful sunny day. There is usually a wait to get a table. We ordered seafood pancake, personal trainer omelette and a waffle. Evening was pretty good, especially personal trainer omelette. Only bummer is that this is cash/check only place.

This is by FAR the ABSOLUTE best brunch/breakfast you will ever have! No matter what you ask for, you will be pleased! If I may suggest something though, the eggs Benedict and the Belgian waffles are to die for. Their cinnamon roll is nothing like you have ever seen, local suggestion!! Great customer service to top it off!!:)

Its an average diner at least based on what we had for lunch - kids pancakes, French toast & vegetarian grilled sandwich. The service is quite good and the serving size is big so good value for money but the quality of food was very underwhelming. Everything was rather oily - French toast looked like it was fried.
