their pastries are good. the only thing that i didnt like about is that the cleanliness. i saw the sauces in a small cup without the lid and theyre just sitting on the table and another thing that really stood out the most is when were still on the side walk entering the restaurant, i saw their pink gate and it was open and i saw this big bowl of pasta( im pretty sure its pasta or whatever kind of food it is) they shouldnt let the gate open because flies, cockroaches or any insect from the outside would land to the food and imagine eating that. its just gross. also the. ONE LAST THING, i know that yime was really busy BUT they shouldnt let the customer wait for a long time for just pastries. and our server that time left us and went to the cashier then comeback then leave and finally a woman finish our order. and I heard this man, our first server, he said " money must be first" ( or something like that about money) because there are customers are paying. bute its their responsibility to give tasks to their people. i know this is really long. but you should give a try to their pastries (^, ^)

So Won Kok is one interesting name. I would refrain from purchasing food from here for other people to avoid any risk of choking as they bust up laughing while eating when you tell them the name of the restaurant you got it from. Otherwise, Won Kok is a solid place to get seriously cheap dim sum. I recommend just getting it to go. Not a lot of people actually sit down and eat here. The restaurant is not the cleanest looking either. Their dim sum is nice and big. Their Har Gow and Shu Mai are only $0.50 a piece and theyre really delicious. They have different variety of baked baos, buns, and meat pies for $1-$1.50. Its all cash only. The service isnt great and there can be a long line on the weekends. They do have their own parking lot though, which is awesome.

When I came here with my boy and his cousin, there was no server at the door to let us know if we can sit ourselves or not. After we got our table, the server was not as attentive as they should. Food was served pretty quick, but as we were waiting for it, we could hear the cooks sneezing and coughing up a storm in the kitchen. The food was okay - we got orange chicken, spicy chicken, chicken chow mein, and beef w/ broccoli - however the flavor seemed to be left in the kitchen. Again, throughout the time we ate, the server was inattentive and difficult to contact - he would just walk right on by when my boy would call for him. Then as I was finishing up my meal I found a hair in my orange chicken.... But the hot tea was good.

Convenient restaurant to have near home when everything else thats open past 10-11pm costs so much money. My favorite entre to order is won ton soup, which is big enough to feed two people. Or you can save the rest for lunch the next day. We also order fried rice, which is filling and decent. The only food we tried that was underwhelming were their walnut shrimp. The flavor of the shrimp was pretty bland for our taste. The candied walnut helped a lil to finish the plate. The restaurant is very roomy so its also perfect if you have a large group of friends post clubbing or bar. Parking could get a bit sketchy.

Awful service , horrible food, leaving tea kettles by the bussing table and when asked for fresh one gave me one thats been sitting on the tea table. Place looks like a construction site floor is missing tiles, bathroom is gross, not even a million dollars could change that place to be better . Its got very hazardous things everywhere floors are slippery , a lot of things arent clean I wouldnt be surprised if people have gotten sick from eating there . Please dont go its not worth it . Not to mention my husbands chair almost fell over from the lack of tiles .

Awesome Food . To bad the service is not even good expect long wait terrible communication with any of the server. Be sure to order correctly the first time it will take at least twenty minutes be you get food. Ive been coming here for over 10 years and I am already know what to expect with service. But the food is worth the Struggle. The location itself is no Shay Food Foo. You dont have to dress up . Love the late hours. Expect Great Food Expect Bad service Expect Good prices Expect open at extreme late hours. Enjoy the experience.

I heard this place was good so I decided to give it a try. Horrible mistake! First of all, when I walked in people had no idea where to sit, the place was a mess and there was only one waiter who was too busy serving food. We asked where to sit and he just pointed to the dining room. There were only a few tables available to sit because most had food left on there from the pervious people. After sitting down and waiting for 15 minutes of no service, we decided to leave! Worst place to eat in Chinatown!

Three stars because Won Kok is open until 3 AM, so its a great place to come after a night out. They have greasy Chinese food, and even keep a limited number of dim sum options available all day long. Its also crazy cheap - I came in a party of 2 after going out one night and had an obscene amount of dim sum for $10. The downside, and this is a big downside, is that I know two people who have gotten food poisoning from Won Kok. One of them normally has a steel stomach, so beware lol.

Good place for authentic Hong Kong style food. Short walking distance from Union Station. Open late to early morning. I ordered hot pot with mixed meats and seafoods and tofu. The portion is good and price reasonable. Dont be distracted by appearance of the restaurant. The staff are friendly but can be overwhelmed when busy. However, my food came in 12 minutes although it was not peak dinner time. They accept credit cards, with a $10 make minimum charge.

Singapore noodles were good, and the chicken lo mein was good. Open late which was great for us. And overall a great bang for buck. Tea wasnt very strong, however. Also, the big condiment dispensers that are normally filled with sriracha or crushed red pepper and garlic were actually filled with Louisiana Hot Sauce, which was a bit odd. It paired surprisingly well though. I think Ill start demanding Louisiana Hot Sauce with my Chinese food in the future.

If Im within a 5 mile radius of Won Kok I can feel the magnetic pull of their delicious steamed buns. I kid myself that I might not stop in as I take another turn in the general direction. And there I am in the tiny carpark managed perfectly by their attendant without a word of English. Long que or short, nothing can pull me away. Steam billows out with each order which means only one thing. Im getting closer to my nervana.
