excellent banh mi, though much better than those (famous) in Santa Ana. small shop having specialities of Mien Trung (some days only). I recommend, come and taste, you will see the difference.

The French bread is warm, crisp, and flaky on the outside, whilst inside, your pate and mayo are at right proportions to make you glad they dont use liverwurst, but real Viet/French liver pate that is so familiar to those raised on banh mi. For the $2.00 "special" sandwich, they use traditional pork loaf deli cut meats and ham, loaded evenly on, with shredded pickled carrots and dikon radishes. You may want to request leaving out the fresh sliced green chilies, but it adds a very nice crunch if you can take the hotness. I recommend asking them for a dash of Maggi soy sauce. Be sure to try a different sandwich every time you go, especially the BBQ pork one. Very very good. The Vietnamese coffee is mildly strong, with a sweetness from condensed milk. I have been going here for 10 years; they are always friendly, polite, and make a freaking good sandwich.

Best banh mi I had in LA and cant beat the price ($2-3 depending on meat, bbq is my fav). Bread is always crispy outside and soft inside with good proportion of bread vs pate. Could ask for double meat and still be cheaper than sub shop.. Just saying

Really good and quick sandwiches. At this location the employees are always really polite and this restaurant is never really crowded which I appreciate. Also when I do online orders my sandwich is ready on time and is still warm.

Stop. You have found the place that has the BEST pork Banh Mi sandwich. Really. Stop paying the ridiculous $13 for the sandwich at Mendocino Farms. $2.75 will make your head, heart and tummy jump for joy.

Best bahn mi (Vietnamese sandwich) in Los Angeles and its only $3. This place is small and hard to find but it is definitely worth it. They also sell drinks and a great selection of fruits and snacks.

The tofu bhan mi is lil different than the norm its brown strands of marinated tofu with a hint of sweetness kinda odd if youre used to pieces of white tofu.
