It was our first time eating at 8 Eight, first time having Korean BBQ the way they do it here. There was 4 of us and we had the Pork Belly option and there was PLENTY OF FOOD even though it says it feeds 2-3 people we had left over food to take home and there was 4 of us. OMG!! ORDER THE PORK BELLY!! You won’t regret it! It’s better than bacon strips I swear to god! Pork Belly naturally has a lot of fat so dont order it if you dont like fat, in our case the fat has the most flavor so I say BRING ON THE FAT Ha Ha .Let me tell you, I’ve been craving it every day since we had it! I’m just bummed that I have not found a place like this in the Seattle area. Yeah we have Korean BBQ spots around here but nothing like this! This will be my GO TO spot every time I visit the LA area from now on. The server tends to the food, cooks it for you right at your table, makes the soup for you and tells you when everything is ready to eat, at the end of your meal they take the left over soup and make fried rice. So Delicious! The cleanliness of this restaurant, the customer service, the quality of food along with the portions sizes is TOP NOTCH! I’m surprised this spot has not been on the local food channels for places to eat on vacation. There are a LOT of Korean BBQ spots in this little area, I recommend to TRY THIS PLACE you won’t regret it! * LOTS OF PARKING *NO WAIT TIME TO GET SEATED *FOOD COMES OUT QUICKLY

YUM. And I dont even really like to eat meat!! My friend told me about this place and I came here on a Friday night with 2 of my friends. They dont take reservations but you can call one hour before you want to eat and put your name on the waiting list. When we got there, they didnt have our name down, but said we would be next to be seated. We got the eight flavors of pork belly set (of course) which was brought out right away. The set is cooked for you and you also get salad, side dishes, and an awesome seafood stew! The eight flavors are: wine, garlic, original, spicy, herb, curry, miso, and ginseng! I liked them all except for the herb one because I dont like rosemary I left full and satisfied and the set split between the 3 of us (plus a beer) was about $23 per person. We paid in cash to get the 8% discount lol. The seats are hollow! Lift up the cushion to put your purse and jacket inside so they dont smell! Parking is great to find because Eight is in a big plaza. The vents are pretty darn good here because we smelled fine afterwards!~

They dont call this Eight Korean BBQ for no reason! hah! Get the 8 different flavors of pork belly combo ($50). This is definitely worth it! Ambiance (Dinner time): Typical Korean BBQ restaurant with Korean music videos playing in the background. Youll want to raise up your voice a bit to talk. Service: Awesome, they check up on you and cook the food for you. Food: We ordered the 8 Pork Belly Combo. This also includes a big bowl of soup to share for 4 people. They also use the leftover soup to cook a bowl of fried rice afterwards. They will use the string beans and Kimchi that is still left on the grill to cook the fried rice with. Tip: If you dont want to come out of the restaurant smelling like Korean BBQ, you can store your jackets/purse/bags inside the seat. Just lift up the cap and boom! Your own personal sealed container. We didnt come here hungry, we actually ate a little bit (2 hours) before. We just really wanted to try the food because of the high reviews, and it definitely didnt disappoint!

Love Hate Relationship Dont you hate that you love that type relationship so much? You come home from work, hes on the couch playing Call of Duty all day. You ask if he cleaned the house, of course he didnt. You ask if he walked the dog, of course he didnt. You ask him what he wants for dinner, he tells you to pick. Ah!! The 8 marinated pork bellies are so delicious but every bite you just know youve shaved off year of your life. But you love it so much like the fat kid that you are! Definitely a unique experience from the rest of the korean bbqs around town which are so saturated. Each distinct marinade is so good when you eat it along with all the sides, salad (to die for), and soup! Korean Hospitality Gotta love it when you dont have to lift a finger, they cook it all like the gods that we are. Then once the soup is almost done, they bring out rice with seaweed where they put it in whats left of the broth to make an awesome fried rice! Mind fu*k!!

Everyone, please follow my advice: go to Eight (Palsaik Samgyeopsal is its Korean name), get the set menu and nothing else. Everything else is probably fine, but the specialty of the restaurant is the eight marinades of pork belly, and anyone coming here for kalbi or bulgogi is missing the point entirely. The set menu separated into two portions, with the lighter flavored ones (unmarinated, wine, ginseng and garlic) first and the bolder flavored ones (herb, curry, doenjang, and red pepper paste) bringing up the rear. Taste one piece of each marinade one by one to appreciate the subtle differences, THEN gorge yourself with the banchan and other accoutrements. The seafood stew that comes with the set menu is necessary in my mind but I think overlooked by many. At the end of the meal, also remember to ask them to take your leftover stew and make fried rice. It might be one of the best parts of the meal!

On my way back from Malibu, I was so hungry and looking for places to eat on my yelp bookmark, this Eight Korean BBQ caught my eyes. I called my friend up because I dont think I could finish it by myself. I looked through the menu and the spicy soup make me wanted to come here. Arrive 30 mins later, walked in, happy greeting ! get seated right away! Nice! Our sever setup the grill pan and everything very quickly, I ordered right away. They bought the food in less than 5 mins! Say what! Yes 5 mins! everything almost ready to eat!! very rare for most Korean place from where Ive been to. The pork belly came with eight different flavors, this is why I take one star out because I couldnt taste much different of those flavors except the spicy one and the macaroni salad side dish taste pretty old and dry. Overall, it was a good experience for a Korean BBQ!!! Will definitely come back!!!!

OH MANNNNNN what an experience! Even just sitting at your table its an adventure! All your utensils and napkins are stored in your drawer. You can also put your belongings in the bottom of your seat. Try the 8 flavors of pork belly! It is 50 bucks to try all 8 flavors. The service is really really good. Our server did all the cooking and cutting, all you have to do is sit there and enjoy. The pork belly was not as fatty as I though it would be. You can see all the fatty oils dripping into the container in the middle of the table. You also get some banchan and a seafood soup. The best pork belly for me was the wine one, and then second place would be the red pepper. The other ones are good, but the two I mentioned stood out for me the most! I would definitely come back and have some more of the wine pork belly again!
