This restaurant almost received 4 stars and maybe it was just an off night for the kitchen, so well be back. The octopus and swordfish ceviche with fried potato sticks was good, but lacking a bit in salt. The grilled octopus niçoise was lovely and the flavors were on point. My husband had the duck entree which unfortunately a bit overcooked. It was a bit tough to cut even with a knife. I had the polenta with mushrooms, which would have been fantastic had it not been on the salty side. We shared the chocolate pot de creme, which came with 2 thin butter cookies. Very decadent, and finished with 2 espressos. I had the house cocktail Pear Fe-nix, which was refreshing and my husband had the cucumber collins. The wine list was quite good and the prices very reasonable. Service was great and our waiter made sure we had the option of putting our entree order in before the large party that had just been seated. All that food, plus cocktails, 2 glasses of wine and 2 espressos, our bill was less than $130. Again, had the issues with food not been there, I would have gladly given 4 stars. Well eat there again.

They had Yelp take down my review so I will post it here. So, Im attending the Lodi street faire, its a cool day, kids, parents and grandparents are walking back and forth, overall its a relaxing environment. My girlfriend and I stop to eat some fair food and pick a spot by this place called Fenix. I look in and see cloth napkins and nice tables. It looks like an upscale place; a place I might want try. Then they turn on thier patio music. Lil Wayne no problem was thier choice for the early afternoon. Blaring obscenities out in to the street as kids walk by to learn new fun words. Its really quite amazing how oblivious the manager of this place is. N word B word very appropriate for patio music on a Sunday. Obviously this place isnt upscale. Its a trashy place. I wont be trying it. I wont recommend it. Ill tell people to avoid it.

The menu is deceptively enchanting. The actual food we received was not whatever as decribed. I ordered the Cobb salad & specially asked if blue cheese was part of the salad. The salad was served with only one 16th of an inch piece & 3 teeny tiny cubed tomatoes. So disappointed! The primary ingredient were onions! My companion ordered the hummus with roasted beets & orange segments. It was also lacking the promised roasted beets & orange segments. She had to ask for them. I also had to ask for pepper! So I see no need to ever go back. Service was also lacking.

Had dinner this week, absolutely superb! Food, Service(Alicia), and Ambience all in the excellent category. Wine list is perfec t for the area and works well with the different food choices. Appetizers well thought out, enjoyed the Cerviche myself. Had the Octopus as an entree, wonderful taste, tender. Lavender Sorbet, with a shortbread crumble and mascarpone delightful finish. Thanks Richard, Chef/Owner, youve done well. Youve given me a reason to visit Lodi on regular basis.

Im happy to see a high quality restaurant in Lodi. The décor is perfect, the service was on point, the cocktails were great, and the food was outstanding. We had the tomato salad and pork belly appetizers, both expertly prepared. For entrées we had the halibut and the quail, equally well prepared. I will definitely go back for the dessert I didnt have room for. I heard that the ginger ice cream is good.

We celebrated our anniversary there, the food was terrific. Had the scallop & heirloom tomato salad for appetizer, then the halibut and scallops for our entree. The halibut was the best Ive had in a long time. Loved it and cant wait to go back again.

Great food and a great place. I had the swordfish which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My wife had a pasta dish which was also excellent. Well be back; Im excited to see theyll be doing lunch soon too. Great upscale addition to downtown.

This place really knows their meat. We had ceviche, steak, and pork tenderloin, and all three were seasoned and cooked to perfection. So tender! A little on the salty side, but otherwise excellent.
