I started going when they first opened and the owners were fantastic then they sold the business and I have only been back once . There is another place called Heritage in Lakewood I do not advise anyone go there . My friend and I stopped by today because Norms was too crowded. So we stopped at the one on Lakewood and DelAno. Nasty nasty nasty customer service was bad the place smelled bad the food smelled and tasted bad. I should have known something was wrong when we stopped in and it was empty . The workers were wearing shirts that said " Taco Bar " but the place is Heritage. The person that took our order was weird the person that seat us was rude . It was just a unpleasant experience. The pork chops I ordered smelled bad and tasted even worst. I should have known when everyone there had doggie bags . My food was horrible. It used to be Cocos and before that it was Bobs Big Boy. Nothing like Heritage Family Pantry so dont make same mistake they are trying to fool ppl into coming into that place plus the furniture was dirty and smelly. Customer service lets just say not for black ppl. The server kept asking for us to pay as if he thought we were going to run out without paying. They will not be there long trust and believe that .

Looks basically just like your average diner, which it is, except for a couple things: one, the portions are indeed enormous - it is probably the first time in my life Ive ever gone to a meal at a restaurant hungry, yet for less than ten bucks, left full despite a bit of food still being left on my plate. Two, it wasnt just a lot of food, it was -good- food, too. And thirdly, their menu is just as large as their portions. There were a -lot- of options. The service wasnt the fastest, but then... I wasnt necessarily expecting that it would be, given that we arrived unannounced as a group of 13. Given -that-, it was rather impressively good.

The brice of the food was great, and the portions were huge. I had a burger and it was delicious and so big I needed to cut it in half. I was contemplating getting fries or zucchini sticks and the waitress said they can do a half & in half! Totally worth it. I the zucchini sticks were huge. There was a table of deaf customers seated near by me. I was impressed with how much the staff was engaging g with them. Looked like a lot of the staff had learned some basic ASL. I will definitely be back. The menu was huge, mostly Americana with some Mexican food options.

Not sure how this place has good reviews, must be family from the owner just pisting. The food is horrible, I got Spanish eggs and what I got was eggs with alot of prego source on top and tasted bad. I should of known from when I walked in I noticed 2 different tables had left the entire plate with food. I thought it was just people that like to wast food but in reality it was the food! Its been 2 days that I was there and I still have a bad stomach ache and the runs.... Im not gonna lie service was good but the food is no bueno DONT RECOMMEND IT!!!!!!

This is literally the best breakfast place I have ever been to. The french toast is amazing. The hash browns are delicious (and plentiful) they have never messed up my order and have even given me extra food when I order something to go after I finish eating. This place is always packed but that is not very surprising. Parking can get bad just because of all the surrounding housing and their small lot. The quality of the food however makes up for most of the cons

The portion sizes here are huge. In fact, my wife and I have always shared our breakfast plates here just to balance out the sizes and we still leave full (usually because we added a chocolate chip muffin). Every thing here looks great, but I have actually only had a handful of items. Things to try: muffins, homemade wheat toast (its about and inch thick!), and the oatmeal. I am not sure what it is about the oatmeal here but it is always perfect.

I live in Anaheim and I met my friend from Lakewood and asked for a good breakfast place in the area. When the breakfast came out, my jaw dropped. Excellent food, excellent service and I recommend this place to everyone because they do a wonderful job. I never take brea fast home, but the portions are so big that I took a whole meal home because I couldnt get close to finishing it. 5 stars and I never rate places. Ill be back soon!

Hubby and I really like this place. Food is great with big portions as everyone as already commented on. Sundays can be a bit of a wait. Service is great, friendly and always a smile. On our way to church this morning we noticed a sign at the old Cocos restaurant on South & Lakewood we are getting a Heritage Family Pantry. YAY!!!! Not sure if this will be a relocation or a 2nd restaurant.

I love diners and you definitely feel like youre in one here. Service is good, I have always been well attended. Dishes Ive had have been well put together and not slopped on a plate, so theres some TLC there. People rave about the portions but its reflected in the price. Its not cheap for food thats mostly frozen or out of a can.. The coffee is horrible. Stick to the basics.

This restaraunt has an old time feel to it. I tried the Breakfast Club Melt with seasoned home fries; the melt was delicious but it was pretty greasy. I would recommend you to try it. If you like salsa, be sure to try the homemade salsa; it is excellent. The waiting staff was excellent and friendly! Last, the prices are a bit high. Enjoy!

A go to place for breakfast this place gets packed on the weekends. The portions are gigantic. They have a Menudo special where you finish your first bowl and are still hungry you get a second bowl for free, its almost an impossible task since the first bowl is so filling. The tapioca pudding is homemade and one of the best Ive had.

Friendly Staff. Big portions of food. My husband and I did not care for the food. My husband had the pork chops and eggs that was $7.95, however after 10.00am the price goes up to $12.95. I was not happy when I got the bill. It was not worth $12.95. What does the time matter to change the price so much? Will not return.

This is my first time here and the service was ok. I ordered a French dip didnt really know what else to get so I figured what the heck lets try it. Im instant impression that the bread looked old and sure enough THE BREAD HAD MOLD ON IT! this is the first and last time I ever come to the so called restaurant....

My wife and I were visiting LA and we came upon this restaurant on accident. The service was outstanding! Elizabeth, our waitress was so nice. The entire staff was great, especially during the busy breakfast rush. The food is great and the portions are large. Will definitely visit Heritage Family Pantry again!
