This is my first time coming here. Very easy to find, it was 3 miles from the hotel I was staying at, but parking was weird. Their parking lot is small, fits 8 cars, however there is plenty of street parking (residential and meter, theres a cute park down the street as well, maybe a few kookoo ppl but harmless) Walked in, I wasnt greeted but girl said we can sit wherever we like and reached over the podium to give us the menu (didnt like that) Another guy server came over and ordered our drinks, really polite. After a few minutes deciding what to eat, girl came over and took our order, food came in around 5-6 minutes, which is fast or normal. The food was good. It didnt wow me but it was good. There were a few things on the menu that intrigue me, hopefully we can come back if were close by. While eating, this crazy lady came in asking for water and weird stuff, wasnt violent but would not leave even when the manager asked nicely, she was trying really hard to get behind the counter or something. Finally she left after 4 minutes of annoyance, manager handled it well. The place is cute, seats were comfy, their light fixtures are adorable. We wanted to sit outside but it was chilly, outside seating is nice too.

I came here with my family two years ago and we returned a couple of days ago. The reason for the big gap is we live in London, so its hard to swing by more often! The first time we came we had lunch can of burgers and they were really good. The kind of indulgence that so many London joints are trying to replicate to varying degrees of success. Most recently we went for brunch. I had the California version of eggs benedict (proper name escapes me but instead of ham there was spinach, tomato and avocado) and loved it. My sons over ordered buttermilk pancakes so I had the chance to try those too. Big and fluffy, they were great. You could argue that we should have been given more of a steer on the amount they ordered but theres also a chance that most people dont struggle too much with them - maybe my boys are just lightweights! Not being local its hard for me to say how it compares on the value front but my brother was really happy with the vegan options, the service was friendly and efficient and we all left with bellies full and faces smiling after our diner experience at Brite Spot.

This place is fairly consistent. Good price, service and food quality. I have two complaints, the Banana Cream pie. It is whole bananas in a pie crust topped with a microscopic bit of chocolate and a ton of whipped cream. Im sorry folks, whole banana is not "cream". I felt a bit like I had been duped out of my money when I brought this home and discovered it. That recipe should be reconsidered. The second is that the buttermilk biscuit is a cross between a square of really be hard cornbread made with a dash of Bisquick. Biscuits are not difficult to make and clearly who ever is making these are taking the easy way out.

Im not sure how I feel about this once lovely place. Where are all the great waiters and waitresses who ran this place. Price are still high yet service is not to what it was. There are too many cameras in this restaurant, wheres the luxury of some privacy? Hmm milks shakes used to come with the metal cup! And now they serve the milkshakes in a small cup. Shame shame shame. The bus boys though are really on top of their game. I dont understand how new management is doing this to place.

This is a wonderful diner. The staff are friendly and helpful even when theres a lot of traffic. Im lactose intolerant but Ive given a dish of Mac N Cheese official pardon and do not regret it. It was delicious. The coffee is good black, if a tiny bit bitter, which is important because cream and sugar belong in chocolate milk, not coffee. Ill come here forever. The chandelier makes me think of constellations. Space is wonderful, so is Brite Spot. Simply wonderful.

This was my first time at brite spot. The place is very cool and old school. I had the steak and eggs which came with hashbrowns and toast. My Gf chose a custom omelette which came with hash and toast as well. The steak was tough.. a better like milanesa would be great. Gf said the omelette was looked good and ingredients were fresh but bland. I had to ask for my coffee to be refilled. Overall I would give them another shot at redemption.

I was recommended to come here and I can say it was my last time the menu has alot of choices I went with the chicken and waffles I waited 30 minutes my food was cold the service took for ever to bring me a refill of my coffee my cup of water had a bug inside I asked for another cup of water took them 15 minutes the only thing that was quick was when they brought the check last time I come and overly priced

The food is great! And you HAVE to get dessert. However it was a bit of challenge getting a cup a coffee, and then a similar challenge getting coffee refills. I had to ask multiple staff, multiple times, just to get a cup of coffee (or a refill)...feel like coffee service should be a bit more of a priority at a diner.

An institution in Echo Park, the Brite Spot is a nice little greasy spoon that is popular with local hipsters, but has also built its cred in the decades its served the neighborhood. The fairly recent addition of a patio has added sorely needed capacity, but expect some waits on busy weekends.

Friend and I went for lunch and I was a little underwhelmed. Service was pretty bad-both slow and unorganized. Either you were waiting for a server or you had too many helping you. Food was ok, but menu was super limited. I had the chicken fingers, which were great. Not sure Id return.

Brite Spot has been around for some time - and it stays relevant with a solid menu, great wait staff, and a that nostalgic diner feel. The food is good, my suggestion is you try the Chorizo Burger! Delicious! If youre at this end of Sunset and looking for a hearty meal, hit Brite Spot!

My friend brought me here, and I was not disappointed. Old charm, great food, and good prices. I got the breakfast with the chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, and egg (cant remember the name of it!) and it was great. Also my drink refills were right on cue.
