This review is based on the service. Food here is great, but the wait staff is inexperienced/novice at best. My wife and I went here a week ago and had a great experience, we sat at the bar and the bartender took care us. He took our order and everything was great. Last night we did the same thing. Sat at the bar expecting to skip the line at the counter like our prior experience. This time the bartender asked us how we were then rudely told us we needed to get up and go wait in line. Not a problem. We thought maybe they no longer served people at the bar. 10-15 minutes after we get our food a family sits right next to us at the bar. A different bartender gladly tells them he will take care of them and get their order. This happened with two other couples as well. So we asked why everyone after us was allowed to place their order at the bar and the original bartender decides to argue with us saying at first it wasnt his decision, then because it was too busy, and finally that the policy on ordering at the bar depends on how busy they are. In other words the bartender didnt want to serve us. If you cant run a bar at a burger joint because your overwhelmed by making milkshakes it might not be the right job. Just expect to be served by novices and first time servers if you eat here.

The burgers here have a lot going on which can be both good and bad. The menu is mostly gourmet burgers and each of the styles are totally unique, even to the point Ive never seen some of the combinations before. I had the French and Fries, a beautiful looking burger with avocado, truffle fries, and dijon mustard inside. Unfortunately the mustard overpowered everything else and thats the only thing I could taste. I support the sustainability values of the company and enjoy seeing the unique flavor combinations but most of the burgers are too busy. Keep it simple and let the grass-fed beef sell itself! Keep up the great work.

We often visit this pasture fed burger restaurant with our son and daughter-in-law after a walk around the reservoir. Clearly we enjoy the place. Last night I had the bison classic burger, and downed more than my fair share of the Fry-Fecta steel bowl of fries. All healthy ingredients. I like that. And the draught amber ale. Its a clean, laid back, hipster joint. Sometimes I amaze myself that I will pay $20 per person for a burger, fries and beverage. That includes a 10% tip. You order at the counter. Am I being cheap?

On a scale of 1-10,I give roam a 9 1/2!!! Their burgers are the absolute freshest,tastiest,and highest quality burgers in the Bay Area!!! Grass fed,all natural beef,and they let you know what pasture the beef came from!!! Service is good and quick!!! Their tri-fecta is a must!! It consists of sweet potato fries,russet fries,and zuchinni onion striings!!! Restaurant is sanitary,friendly,and nicely decorated with good music!!! Solo,first date,or wife and kids,its perfect!!!

B+. Had the Burger with all the normal toppings + bacon & swiss. In addition, I had the fries and strawberry shake. The fries were light and crisp. The shake was organic, which gave it more of that creamy taste. I think they have a great menu and the service was outstanding. The patty was not one of those thick patties that try to over compensate for flavor with size. I would go there again without pause.

The atmosphere is casual yet hip. The menus and crayons they have for kids are great for keeping the little ones busy. All their burgers are fantastic, and their salads are excellent too. You can tell they care about the ingredients that they use. Super easy to eat vegetarian here. So happy with this find!

Yum! Delicious burgers with superior add-ons and more health conscious options like veggie fries and kombucha. The milkshakes are made with Straus and they are the best around. The seasonal burger is always worth a try and the veggie burger is very good. This place is small and gets crowded fast.

Best burgers in Lafayette. Like the ability to order regular or whole wheat buns, grass fed beef and other great meet selections, and the seasonal vegetable sides are always great. Recently they have started to do seasonal burgers as well, and the spring one was awesome!

Very friendly personnel. Delicious food. They have gluten free bread for the burgers and veggie options. The artisan sodas and the black currant kombucha are an amazing complement to the good organic food they serve. The sunny side is sinful and the bbq mouth watering.

Terrific in-house made veggie burger made of red quinoa. The truffle fries are some of the best around. I enjoyed the seasonal Chocolate/Hazelnut shake for dessert.
