Blah! If you were stuck in Riverside and needed an Asian food fix this place may work for you, but if you have options go else where. There are plenty of tofu places popping up in Irvine. My favorite is still KOBA Tofu on Culver. This is one of the first places I tried in the Jamboree Plaza. First thought... WOW! I no longer have to go to Rowland Heights because we have our own Asian Mall in Irvine. Tofu open 24/7 crazy! Thats open about 24 hours more than everything that closes early in Irvine. In the beginning, everything looked and felt like a BCD Tofu house. I thought theres no way that I give this place less than 4 stars. I never minus stars for service, because its all about the food. This BCD had maybe one server for about 20 or 30 tables, either that or no one felt like working. The server look like she hated her life. My first bite of the tofu. It tasted like boiled tofu with a lot of powder. I like it spicy, but at least trick me in to thinking this is a soup and not some powder crap. It was spicy, very spicy, but not tasty at all. It lacked flavor. I thought it would taste like seafood, because thats what I ordered. The Baehn Chun, side dishes, (Im not korean so dont laugh at my spelling please) looked the same way food looks that was you left it in the back of the fridge one too many days. I was so disgusted and wished I could walk out and get a refund. I just sat there forcing the food down and watching an annoying little kid whine and play with his toy for entertainment. PASS on this place. Maybe I had a bad experience, but I have little faith it will be better a second time around.

This is one of my favorite places in Irvine. The people tend to be pretty friendly and the food is tasty. I would recommend you stick to the Tofu bowls, or maybe one of the combos like the short ribs & tofu soup combo. Generally, you order the Tofu soup then you pick the other ingredient and then a level of spiciness. Like you could order the Seafood Tofu, that is "Spicy" or "Danger" -- Be warned, the "Danger" level is pretty spicy. It will make you sweat! A newer item they have is the crispy fried tofu. As usual, all dishes come with a plethora of little side dishes to enhance the experience. These are great and theyll refill them at least a couple times as youre eating. You just have to call the waitress over and shell refill them for you. Enjoy, and tell them Oscar sent you.

My all time favorite Korean place. My friend from Seoul showed me this place and it has become my significant other and mines favorite place to eat. I have taken a good deal of people here who have not had Korean food in the past and they have all loved it. The food and service are both amazing and the wait list may have a lot of people on it but it moves very quick. This is one of my all time favorite places to eat.

Open 24 hours in Diamond Jamboree plaza. Tofu hot pot is not bad. I would not get out of the way to have this. There are plenty Korean hot pot places that makes better tofu. Kimchi is mediocre, side dishes are not that outstanding either, again not bad. Overall is not bad if you can not find anywhere to eat at 3am in the morning. I would come back for lunch, with the expectation of, say, going to a McD for lunch.

I love how this place is open 24 hours. The spicy tofu stew is not only good for lunch and dinner, its also great for breakfast or late night snack! I always get the tofu + a kind of BBQ meat combo. Kalbi and spicy pork are two of my favorites. The combination tofu, seafood tofu, kimchi tofu, and dumpling tofu are all very good. Great banchan, including tasty fried whole fish.

Love BCD Tofu! They are open 24hrs and the food is amazing and super affordable. The manager and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I do avoid rush hour (7pm to 9pm) it gets packed and wait can be up to 45 minutes! So make sure you plan ahead....if wait is too long you can always go to 85 degrees a few doors down for a pastry and a coffee while you wait :-D

Sooooo good!!! I love the pan fried fish you get as one of the banchan. It gave me nostalgia of eating yellow croaker that my mom would fry up when I was a kid. The squid banchan is delicious as well. Everything here is just spectacular. I cant rave enough about this place! I highly recommend it, if you want authentic, amazing Korean food.

Irvine, California is the place to be for Asian restaurants. Nestled in the heart of Irvine is BCD Tofu House in the Diamond Jamboree Shops. Take $20 with you and you can have a feast. Their combos come with the Soon Tofu soups..plenty of sides. Its not fancy but plenty of servers and this one open 24 hours for the night owls.

Tofu soup was so good and not too spicy for me. I devoured it. Kalbi was good but it looked bigger in pictures. My pieces were also a but rubbery and one piece had mostly fat. Side dishes were plentiful and they even had fried fish as one side. Gyoza was fried perfect as well. Definitely recommend trying this place

Just like other BCDs this location has really good food and great price. However, the service here is terrible. Compared to other BCDs I have been to, this location serves ban-chan (side dishes) significantly later (even when I ask them politedly several times) and are very stingy with amount they serve.

24/7 Tofu soup restaurant! Great soup, but not the best. Pros: - 24/7 - Great customer service (for me: they refill side dishes without asking) - clean restroom (1 male & 1 female) Cons: - Crowded - service is really fast, feels like you have to eat in a hurry. - At peak times, some waiting in line.

Food always tastes good. Only issue is sometimes I order medium spice level and it is more like a flavored mild. And sometimes I get a mild and its a less flavors medium spice level 50/50 chance of getting your spice level right. But that just makes it more interesting to me.

Great food at a good price for quality Korean Tofu. Service here is great, always refilling your small dishes with a smile, always greeting and saying goodbye to everyone. This location is open 24-hours too! Great for those late-night meals after Sutra or the Observatory.

Unfortunately I had an awful experience at this place. One of the owners treated us very badly. At least she looked at us, she did not have good manners and maybe she disliked us by race and social class. I do not recommend BCD Tofu house from this address.

This place is well known for"Bibimbap". They also have some signature Korean food here, usually there is a line for tables during weekends and weekdays during dinner time at the restaurant located at Diamond Jamboree, Irvine CA. Kids and Family friendly.

Friendly staff, insanely convenient hours. The menu deceptively makes you believe youre not going to receive a lot of food, but fear not, they shove plates and plates of delicious appetizers and the entree is no joke. Try their spicier flavors!
