Super Tasty! First time here. The prices seemed just a tad above what I wanted, but realized after eating around other sit down Mexican diners that this pricing was fair. Chips were a little on the firm side. I dont remember much about the salsa. I tried the Zarape which was like pita bread with the toppings, I had chicken and steak. Omgosh the flavor was out of this world and chicken was cooked properly, tender and juicy. My wife had like a chicken taco salad with no shell and that looked well plated. I was so engulfed my own indulgence, I dint even ask her how hers was :/ The waitress was friendly and I got to speak with the manager, and it was pleasureable. Plenty of room in the restaurant and booths were private enough. 5 stars because the other couple we with said it is always been good food there.

Exelente carnitas las mejores de la region. Felicidades....solo una cosa mala sus atendentes parece que les pagan por hacer mala cara y corretear a los clientes a que elijan sus carnitas. Son muy malacarientos . nunca les he mirado un gesto deamabilidad. Despues de eso todo bien hasta las dueñas son super amables. Muchas gracias.

i was very disappointing with there service. we asked what was in a chimichionga and they said just meat and cheese we we ordered it and it was loaded with a bunch of vegetables and really bad sauce and we asked if we could get something else because this taste really bad and they said sure well we got something else and when we got our bill we were still charged with the chimi and wouldnt take the chimi off there food sucked and so did there waiters the only good part was the flower chips and touch less bathroom

This place has been a landmark in Gridley for over 30 years. My wife loved it in the past, and when passing through town, we stopped for dinner. What a mistake. Things have changed. Chips? Stale, and out of a bag, served with salsa from a supermarket. We then both ordered the Fish Tacos Dinner Plate. Okay serving size, but we left most of the food on our plate... and did NOT ask for to go boxes. This is by far the worst mexican restaurant Ive been to for years.

Fish tacos have no flavor not seasoned just tilapia which doesnt have any flavor to begin with. I used to enjoy eating here but this is the 3rd time Ive been disappointed. Last time the bacon wrapped shrimp was way over cooked. And the casa lure special no flavor just drowning in watered down butter.

Casa Lupe used to be the best Mexican restaurant in Gridley. Sadly, during my last trip I discovered that my burritos contained celery, and the waitress insisted that it is normal since their menu change. Casa Lupe has lost what made it great - its authenticity.

Ok revised review, this is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. They let homeless people come in and go table to table begging for food and money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING HERE, I was taking my family for dinner and we were mortified.

Worst Mexican food I have ever eaten and over priced. No flavor, no spice, and way too much cheese. You cant really call it Mexican food. They put celery in the salsa, not good. Staff is nice. Decor is nice also. But the food is not good.
