We didnt originally plan on coming to 85C Bakery but since it was next to the Halal Guys we couldnt resist picking up a few treats to take home. This location just recently had their grand opening a few weeks ago. It is half the size of the Pasadena location so it would seem to look more crowded. They have the same items as the Pasadena location but this location tend to stock their bins more frequently. I did not find one bin that was empty. Maybe we just came at the right time. We usually get our usual items such as the Chessy Bread, Taro Swirl, Egg Tart and anything that catches our eye. We are always willing to try new things when it comes to desserts. Im looking forward to the day when they open up the Valencia location. I will longer have to drive to the Glendale or Pasadena location to get my fix.

Sea Salt Coffee is great but overall the bread is lackluster. My biggest gripe is that they advertise 85 cent any size coffee on Mondays but depending on who rings you up they totally charge you full price and look at you as if youre wrong when you ask about the total not reflecting the advertised cost. They pulled this with their Grand Opening as well. They gave away coupons for free medium sea salt coffee and refused to honor it without a purchase even though nowhere on the coupon did it state that was a condition to meet. Honestly? Go to Dukes or Portos unless its Monday, but be sure they charge you the right price.

Got here on grand opening day and while it was packed to the brim, they were very well prepared and had everyone in and out as soon as possible. I think this bodes well for when things die down and level off to normal rates as it shows theyll be quick to everything. I got the 10 cent iced sea salt coffee, which tasted just perfect! The sea salt was just enough where it did t overpower the rest of the coffee and the cream on top was a great topper! Also got the egg tart, which was great tasting! They bring out fresh pastries every few minutes or so, which means there wont be a long wait for your favorite to come out!

Amazing selection of freshly baked bread. They offer both sweet and savory. The most unique items are those with taro. Also, they are known for the boroh breads. Marble taro is so good! Its one of those things though, you like it or you dont. If you are looking for other suggestions, brioche (sells out fast), boroh cream danish, coconut twist, chocolate chip cookie bowl (like a big, warm cookie but bread form!). If you like more traditional bread, try walnut or berry multigrain. They are dense and wheaty with the right amount of sweetness.

Im so happy to have an 85 Degrees move closer to my workplace, although its a bit dangerous! All of the popular offerings are there: taro bread, fruit tart, mocha bread, cakes, boba, sea salt coffees, egg tart--gangs all here! The space is pretty small compared to Pasadenas so Im not sure how this place will do when theres a rush or a holiday season crowd. Its not a true competitor to Portos (doesnt offer as many savory dishes or can handle the numbers), but its also not trying to be. Love getting my Taiwanese pastries! Never leave us!

Wow, the items here are scrumptious! Everything looks great and everything I tried was delicious. They offer sweet and savory options. Tried some desserts-great. Tried a basic bread-great. Coffee-great. Tried a flat pizza type thing-delicious. Seems those sell out quick. My favorite, so far, the cinnamon roll. It was heavenly. Nuts were at the bottom. Items baked on premise, if you have time to wait, they make fresh stuff. Ive already been back. Its great!

While I cant eat here (Im gluten-free), this is one of the places I always take visitors who come to Los Angeles. Everyone Ive brought here loves the baked goods, and they have a variety of options Ive never seen anywhere else. Ill generally get myself a coffee or tea, while my gluten eating family and friends go nuts over this place. Its always a winner!

I was happy this place existed and happy it was a drive away from my place of residence. My waist line is now a bit nervous since the glendale location opened, but I think Ill make it work. Worth the effort. Fantastic bread, pastures both sweet and savory. Good indication that Glendale is up and coming.

This is a Taiwanese bakery cafe. Excellent baked goods. Cakes are beautiful and not too sweet. Very unique menu including a bun that tastes like Oreos, a baguette made with bacon, etc. Teas are delicious as is the sea salt coffee. If you spend $20 or more you might get a free mug. Big fan.

Very nice bakery - perfect for an afternoon post-lunch stop for a coffee and a pastry. They offer good coffee with non-dairy creamer, which is perfect for those with milk allergies. Showing all of the allergens in their baked goods is also helpful for those with allergies.

Seems like a decent bakery with Asian influenced pastries and baked goods. There werent many options to choose from when I went, but it was later in the afternoon so its understandable. They have a lot of chain locations so it must be doing something right.

That mango creme brulee cake was amazing. Loved it completely. The only downside is that their prices are not as low as they like to say it is. But I would still buy it again for the right occasion.

Compared to other 85 degrees locations, its not as busy and that means popular items like the infamous taro roll are always available. Stop buy if youre in Glendale and need a 85 degrees fix.

Feels like an authentic Japanese bakery with really interesting variety of cakes, breads and sandwiches. Great for one piece, or to bring when visiting others.

Lines are slow, dessert is ok, Ive seen flies in the cases on 3 occasions sooo I wont come again because all of the above and parking is an issue often.

Their bread are good, plus the prices are competitive. I could have given it five stars, but they unceremoniously stop selling the chocolate brioche.

Minus the one star because its too small theres no sitting area. But I like their pastries more than Portos! Bigger size and cheaper.

Very good coffees and teas, but the pastries have a same-y quality, but if you like brioche, that may be fine.

Food is good, but the lines are too long. It took me 30 minutes to get two coffees.
