A little out of the way, and difficult to find, but a spacious and interesting spot for a decent meal, nonetheless. Theyre a bit tight on the menu regarding when you can order certain things. For example, they dont start serving lunch until 12:00, so if youve been hankering for one of their entrees, and its only 11:00, then youre out of luck... until 12:00. The menu is extensive, with a plethora of options, whether youre craving a high end pizza, (I suggest the Blanco Pizza), a healthy breakfast of Muesli, Baked Egg Casserole, French Toast, or Granola, or if youre more of a health drink nut, and let us not forget the cocktails. I have to highly recommend the Mushroom Nut Loaf, though. Its a healthy, nutty, veggie-packed & tomato-infused delicacy unlike anything Ive tried before. If you dont feel like dining in, the other half of the restaurant is actually a small market with a fully loaded refrigerated section for healthy everyday basics, and an enormous selection of wines and other drinks. Their baked goods section is also worth taking a look at, as they tend to steer towards the healthier side of pastries, which makes for an interesting selection of sweet goodies, such as ginger scones, oat cakes, and cinnamon pop-overs, which are chewy and delicious. No reheating necessary. Way better than the same old blueberry muffins, if you ask me. Although, they have those, too. The ambiance is super chill, and its a great place to hang out with friends, or all by your lonesome, while getting some work done on a Sunday afternoon. The outdoor seating area is particularly interesting, with the super comfortable lounge chairs, a midway fountain, and a bed/floor of small pebbles in lieu of concrete, dirt, or tile. The crunching with constant foot traffic from the servers and other patrons can either be quite soothing, or extremely irritating, depending on your present mood.

They have free parking behind the blue bottle coffee shop area! I had the Heirloom Tomato Salad which I thought was decent. My friend Miji had the chef salad and I think she was a little disappointed because it wasnt what she was expecting. Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad: heirloom tomatoes, arugula, french olives, burrata, dressed with olive oil and balsamic with garlic infused country toast! Chefs Salad: french green beans, fingerling potato, avocado, Gruyere, hard boiled egg, cherry tomato, french olives, dressed with a lemon dressing! I really liked the AMBIANCE and decor of this place. It was so airy and nice. A perfect place to catch up and talk, which is what we did... we just sat there for a couple hours and chit-chatted. There is many different seating areas, like outside patio, inside restaurant, side restaurant. I actually want to come back here for more. I think I should have tried maybe a pasta or a pizza instead of the salad.

Fast forward to 2017 and this place is packed! Having tried much of their menu I feel pretty confident to say the only worth while things on their menu are the breakfast/brunch-ish options, fries, pizza, and veggie burger. Skip everything else on the food menu. Their veggie burger is a real winner here. I cant tell the difference in both flavor and texture that theres no meat in the darn thing, its really delicious and filling. If you end up trying their other entrees youre gonna be pretty disappointed. They have a lovely wine selection in the store part of the restaurant too if you just want to pick up a bottle to take home.

This is one gorgeous restaurant. It is light and airy just like Southern California and that is unique in the very cool arts District. It is vegetarian only, but that is not an issue since it is very inventive vegetarian so far ( food reviews coming next week). There is a full bar and a very attractive Olive Alle patio with fountain. Even if it was just a bowl of vegetable soup I would go back. It will probably get real busy real soon as the word gets out. I am going to dinner there tonight with 6 friends and I will be going back sometime this coming week just to hopefully see how consistantly good they are.

I came with my Friend to the Art District to help her look at live work space. We then found ZINC to eat. We were graciously approached by the owner John. He completely told us where to order and all of Zincs take home food options...he also informed us we could select our lunch and eat at the Bar. The atmosphere is light and so lovely. All of the lunch selections we chose were delicious. The store items that are for sale as well as the food is presented beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we both look forward to coming back to eat as well as my friend entertaining her clients.

Good outdoor seating area and dinning place. I like the food has much vegetarian options, few vegan options (I guess better than nothing). Ive been here several times, the experience and satisfaction is getting worse and less each time. The waitress does not know if their bread was vegan or not. Nor did she know what ingredient was in the Brussels sprouts to make it sour. I thought that would be part of the requirements for staffs to be familiar their own products as part of professionalism, no? Or maybe Im too old fashion. Anyway, its still a nice place to go to.

We came here after a photo walk in the area. I was surprised how fast we got a table for our group. But after that, customer service ended. We were able to order drinks and food, but no service afterwards. Nobody checked on us. One guy was coming bye with my refill and asked for who it was. I told him it was for me, he walked over to the next table to talk to a co-worker and disappeared afterwards. I never got a refill. Also to get the check was not easy either. But at least the spinach lasagne was good. This is an all vegan place. No meats here.

While this place looks great from the outside, do not be fooled into going in! The wait service is terrible, unless like like waiting 20 minutes for one cocktail, having to ask your server to bring you napkins after the food has arrived, and genuinely being ignored. The food is exceedingly expensive for that you get. I paid $15 for a rather small, tasteless pizza. Lastly, they do not serve meat in any of their dishes, but make no mention of that anywhere. I will not be returning to this place.

Lovely place inside with different spaces - cafe, bar and patio. Busy at lunch and dinner, with a good range of vegetarian food. Unfortunately the last time we visited, we had an issue with our service. Beyond slow service, forgotten orders, doubled orders, and two staff contradicting each other - not a good time that caused use to have to cut our meal short and leave. Im hoping that these wrinkles are ironed out, and the next time I visit theres been an improvement.

Ok, the place is cool, the layout is clean and very open air. The menu lists some interesting options. so what gives? Well the earlier review nailed it, the customer support is really poor. I mean really poor. there werent many customers in the place and even after we made it clear the service was poor they made no attempt to bring the bar up. I would suggest you find your self to other places if your looking for vegetarian .
