My craving for Hawaiian bbq was too strong one day at work, so I decided to hit up L&L for lunch. L&L are everywhere and they tend to be pretty consistent in their quality. When I walked in, I was greeted by a bowl special and several other specials that seemed to be specific to this location. The menu is kind of all over the place and I wasnt sure how big my bowl for $5 and a drink would be. I ordered my teriyaki chicken bowl with my veggies and rice, and was greeted by a very tiny bowl. It was fine for lunch, but for an extra couple of dollars I could have had a much bigger meal. The restaurant itself seemed kind of cluttered and unwelcoming.

L&L always has great food and a great atmosphere. There are some improvements that would really help this location. The counter and floors are looking worn and the paper taped to the glass looks kinda tacky. The new server doesnt speak English very well, and gets confused very easily. At lunch time when I went in, there werent enough tables so I ended up sharing my table with a group of college students. The good news is the food is as good as always. If you looking for good hawaiian/teriyaki food, it is excellent here!

This place really helped me get through some tough study sessions at CSUF. Now that I graduated I still come back here for time to time to get a BBQ Chicken Plate. The chicken is juicy with a grilled exterior. A pretty good way to get full if you dont mind spending around 9 bucks after tax for a single meal.

The basics of L&L, this location has some location specific foods. Portions are smaller than some L&L locations but still has the same great taste.

The chicken katsu is always good. Can be a little slow sometimes but the food always comes out fresh so its worth the wait.
