Took my daughter (7-years-old) on a date tonight to the Cowboy! Having eaten here before, I expected the same excellent service and food and I was happy, yet again with the awesome service, but I must say, the food is so creative and unique given the modern Western / cowboy theme. Such a beautiful outdoor environment as well. I have yet to even eat indoors here. Eating under an amazing oak tree, surrounded by redwoods, yet plenty of sunshine. Just perfect!!!

So far so good! Better location than when it was up the road. The parking is hell though. But once I got in, it was a nice experience. The beer was fresh (lots of skunked kegs in the greater Santa Cruz area so that was refreshing). And as long as the burgers are the same as last time I was here a few years back theyll be amazing. The cornbread is the real show stopper here though. Dont come here and not get the cornbread. Consider yourself warned.

Despite its name and wild front entrance, this is a great place for a family to enjoy a delicious meal before or after a trip to Roaring Camp Railroads. Diverse and imaginative offerings, with something for everyone from carnivore to vegan. There are also a couple of choices just for kids and toys to keep the little ones busy. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Quiet and relaxing environment (in the daytime anyway).

Ive always loved the Cowboy Bar & Grill - their food is delicious, the serving sizes are generous, and they have a great beer selection. They recently relocated to a larger venue and I cant wait to enjoy the patio when the weather warms up this summer. Whatever you do, make sure you get a side of cornbread - worth every bite!

Friendly wait staff, decent service. Want echoed by the meal. Pulled pork was really good, but too much sweet bbq sauce. Corn bread was dry. Garlic potatoes were super garlicky. Ok if you like them that way. Strawberry rhubarb pie is a 6" diameter very thick very bready crust, with about 1/4 cup of pie inside. Meh...

Zero stars, disgusting food. Service was bad too. Very disappointed seeing as we were rolling a recommendation from a friend... Sorry but I dont like freezer burnt rubber burgers. And my husband had some nasty enchilada thing, soaked in gross sauce, sick

Family dining in a great atmosphere in their new location. The menu is mostly cowboy takes on your basic California fare, but they do some nice BBQ meats. Go on a nice warm evening and sit outside under the giant oak tree. So lovely.

They have done a terrific job with this place. Food is good, staff is very accommodating. This is the goto place after mountain biking. Plenty of beer choices and lots of room outside to eat and park your bike outside.

Great food, great service. There are many vegetarian options, so dont let the name put you off. I didnt like the cowhide-look tablecloths indoors, but we ate outside in their fabulous garden!
