I ordered chicken flautas and I have to say that the food taste disgusting... the flautas werent cristpy, and the chicken taste old and extremely dry, I felt like I was chewing cardboard. The plate presentation was a big downer, it was served in a cheap small styrofoam plate with a little bit of beans and two piece of tortilla chips on top with a scoop of rice next to it. I honestly started to laugh when they put this "dinner plate" in front of me... I was saying to myself "are you f***ing serious?" The owner honestly needs to do some homework before he build this restaurant in Donwey because the location has tons of Mexican food places up and down the street with much better food and prices. I have to say that "Tacos Don Chente" make other local Mexican restaurants look good.

Food was great. Service was great. I ordered a complicated burrito order specified for vegetarian with French fries and the cashier understood it perfectly and my food came out just as I ordered it. It did take a little while to receive my order to go(about 15 minutes), but it did reassure me that it was fresh. Everything was hot and fresh tasting. Im definitely going back in the morning for a breakfast burrito. To mention, they also have a nice salsa bar with spicy carrots, limes, radishes etc., and a good selection of very tasty salsas. I was in town on business and wanted something similar to my hometown spot and this certainly worked! Id recommend this place for sure. This was at the Downey location next to Embassy Suites.

Recent changes to your kids menu are terrible! Please change them back. You are now no longer able to order Asada tacos for the kids meal, u can only order chicken. I explained my son doesnt eat chicken and they said the owner changed the menu and he was not able to order Asada. Terrible call!!! At least make an exception for people who cant eat chicken!!..... They dont even bring out the chips like they use to.... Whats going on at this place? It use to be great.

I ordered take out and the girl on phone was so stupid! She didnt know what a chorizo burrito was. How can you work at a Mexican restaurant and not know what a chorizo burrito is? When I got to the restaurant to pick up my order she said she forgot to put in the order. Not going back there until they change the current staff with more competent employees.

I was staying at the Embassy Suites across the street, so this place was close and convenient. I ordered a Hawaiian torta. It was absolutely fantastic. Very different than the tortas Im used to in Chicago - the ham was more like sliced lunch meat. But it was absolutely incredible. 10/10 would eat again.

Breakfast special consisted of dry, flour like pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns and cold cut ham slices which were literally cold. It was disgusting. The service was horrible. We will never go back.
