It takes a drastic experience to give one star to a place with good food and all it takes is bad management. I was at this restaurant on Sunday for dinner. There was a very short wait and we were seated. Our drink orders were promptly taken and delivered. We ordered right on the spot, together with drinks. We decided to order 4 different BBQ meat combo and share. Our server has read back the order to us and everything was in order. All is well up to the point where food hit our table. Out 4 variety plate was missing an item and another item was served twice. Yes there were 4 portions of meat but not 4 different varieties I know it is not our servers fault, because he read the order back to us. Someone in the kitchen screwed up the order. No biggie, it happens every once in a while. We called our server back and pointed the mistake. He apologized and went back to get the missing piece. In less than 5 minutes, he came back with the piece of meat, put it on the table. This is where it went south. He asked us if we wanted to keep the extra piece of meat, that was double served by mistake. The question was asked in a way that, if I Wanted to keep it, I was going to see it charged to my bill at the end.And there was a lot of food. So we said we did not really want it. At this point, I would expect the staff to say, something like "keep it anyway" but our server, instead, went to the kitchen, came back with an empty plate, no utensils. And asked me to put the unwanted piece on to the plate he brought. I looked at his face as if, "do you really want me to use the fork I put in my mouth ?" kinda way and he did not say anything. I stuck my fork, straight out of my mouth, 10 seconds ago, into the meat and moved it on to the empty plate. He went back to the kitchen and disappeared behind a cloudy glass screen. So, if you have ordered a chicken salad that night or the very next day, you might have ended up getting more than what you bargained for. My apologies. You might say "well, you did not have to deal with it. ewhy are you complaining?" But, if this was done to me, I am seriously wondering whose saliva I might have eaten that night ? Who refused a piece of meat before it was served to me and they gave it back to me instead of tossing it away ? This is a very bad management of employees. I am not sure if the owner of the place is so cheap that he/she can not tolerate loss of a piece of meat, selling less than 10 bucks a-la-carte or the kitchen staff is trying to hide their mistakes, but somethings gotta give. Needless to say, I am not coming back to this establishment, ever again and suggest you do the same

Wood Ranch is one of my favorite Steak and BBQ chains and the branch in Chino Hills is awesome. The service there is great, the atmosphere is great, location is great, and the All American Baby Back Ribs are amazing. They also serve a couple choices of craft beer as well which is the cherry on top. The only issue here is that the wait on Friday and Saturday nights can be quite insane as Ive seen wait times of up to an hour. If those are the days youre planning to go, Id highly recommend going early or for smaller parties Id recommend checking the bar. The bar is open seating and includes the full menu. If you can snag a seat there, you wont have to wait.

So decided to come in this week , and knowing that Christmas is this weekend. I knew it may be busy , so decided to come just as they opened . After being seated it took a while for someone to attend to us, since I think there was a work party going on as they just opened. So got there at 11:30 am and did not get our appetizers till 12:10 and our main food till 12:45. Everything was good, it just took a whole while to get drinks, food order and waiting for food to arrive . I love the wood ranch company , but I think next time I will just come when its not during the holidays .

Weak martinis, ordered a Lemon Drop and got a 3/4 filled glass of lemonade. I asked my husband to ask why my drink was so small especially because they charge $11.00 so the blond bartender said she would give us an extra shot. Well the drink was perfectly filled and tasted like a Lemon Drop should but the problem was when we got the bill they had charged us $19.00 for the drink, $11.00 + $8 for the extra shot!! I will never go back to Wood Ranch, go to the Yard House instead, they have better food and better drinks that wont cost you $20.00 a drink!!

Service is always phenomenal. The tri-tip is delicious on a level most BBQ joints dont hit. Their mac & cheese (unlike this time) is downright sinful with a creamy cheesy texture rivaled by none. The restraunts got a cross between upscale dinning and a BBQ joint. Its like if Olive Garden was BBQ joint. Its a chain with not much in the form of indenpendance but, the food, stellar. Id recommended you eat here if youre into big portions of delectable grilled meat. Also, the house drinks are pretty tasty if youre 21+.

Try to eat here as often as we can. The tri tip is unlike any other you"ll find anywhere. The ribs are great and the chicken breasts are great. Most places when you order a combo, you get a small portions of each entree. Here, you get a full portion of each for only a couple dollars more. Their peanut slaw is the best anywhere. Service is always top notch also. Great barbeque and excellent price.

The usual BBQ franchised restoran. Nothing special but well kept. Nice service, fast and amiably. Food OK, nothing special but well served and tasty. I don´t enjoy much franchised places but this is ok. Our meeting was long, past closing hours and nobody urged us to leave the premises, this is good. As a whole, a good experience. In the neighbourhood was a good choice.

It was a nice set up and the area was awesome. Im from the south and i was looking forward to some down home bbq meat and sauce. I didnt get it. If you like oven baked meat its fine but its not from a true grill. Bbq sauce wasnt to my taste. Side orders was okay comes from a can or box. Just my opinion. Good place for some drinks at the bar. Good customer service.

mmhh Their bread rolls... a bit too greasy but i just dug out the inside and it was just so buttery and delicious..i allowed myself only 1 and a half and that was it. We had a birthday lunch here and we got everything brought out in time with 14 people ..it was pretty efficient on how quickly they bring out the food.
