Leelins, nothing more than Leelins Trying to forget my Leelins of love. Baboy (Pig) Bonanza! Leelin Bakery & Cafe, formerly Goldilocks Bakeshop, with the same owners and a makeover (the kind you get when you break up with someone and youre looking to make them jealous with envy when they see you in the arms of someone else) . Leelins provides Filipino comfort foods for those unconcerned with such paltry things like high blood pressure & diabetes ;p Came in for dinner & made sure to take advantage of the 10% off with Yelp check-in. The restaurant space is now in an open layout compared to its former iteration. Tonights dinner choices (*Warning*-vegans look away)- Crispy dinuguan A hearty pork blood stew with crispy pork skin delightfully adorned on top. Ive never had "crispy" dinuguan and my imagination was running wild with what the dish would look like. But, I was pleasantly surpised with what I saw. The stew was rich, with choice cuts from all over the pig. I prefer the pieces of snout, being cartilaginous and uber fatty. The crunchy pork skin was the pleasurable highlight for me. Sizzlin sisig Piping hot from the kitchen, sisig is a popular Filipino dish of diced pork with red onions, chilis, bell peppers and other select ingredients, topped with an incredible, edible sunnyside up egg. Eggs, like bacon, make everything better! This selection was hot, spicy, fatty & fun! Ill always be partial for the sisig at Ellens Pinoy Grille. It may not be "authentic", but I love the delectable crunch. However, the sisig at Leelins is good and will be a crowd pleasure for all you lovers of pig. Leelin is also offering some innovative dishes, such as the longanisa burger- Longanisa is a Filipino sweet sausage. I took a pic of the display burger for now, but I plan to try it when I come back. Of course, the bread & butter (literally & figuratively) of Leelins Bakery & Cafe are the assortment of baked goods. Service was good. There were a lot of staff at the ready to service the needs of diners. Seating is ample with booths and tables for small & large parties. Parking is in a private lot shared by Island Pacific Supermarket and Hometown Buffet. I think, even w/o the vaunted Goldilocks name, Leelin Bakery & Cafe offers quality Filipino food that we grew up loving. I applaud Leelin for experimenting with new food creations such as the aforementioned longanisa burger. If youre looking for some bread, sweets and a hearty meal, then I highly recommend checking out Leelin Bakery & Cafe. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

We live in Chicago and bought a Leelin Bakery & Cafe Assorted Kakanin thats supposed to be an authentic assortment of native slice cakes. It was sold in a Filipino food store . It said it was supposed to ube, biko, cassava, and sapin sapin. Well, none of it was real! Everything was fake! It was just made of flour and food coloring. Buyer beware! This was a waste of money! The whole cake was crumbly, dry and tasteless! It was just one consistency, we couldnt tell which cake was which! The ingredients listed was wholly false! We ended up tossing it in the garbage! Very embarrassing for our guests and your supposed reputable establishment! Retail stores beware, too!

The best Filipino restaurant to bring your non Filipino friends! Delicious food, friendly service and very clean kitchen and restaurant as a whole. Price is lower and competitive to surrounding eateries. Their menu is extensive, they offer traditional and new creative items such as longganisa burger and Filipino version of BLT....try it!!!

1) Clean atmosphere 2) Tasty food, but nothing to make me feel like I want to return more than once a month at most. 3) Though service has always been obnoxiously slow, it is friendly. 5 stars wouldve been given if they didnt have a policy of not seating parties until everyone shows up.

It is not the traditional best quality Filipino cooking for me, they need an infusion of better chefs, and find their identity. It is a clean, decent restaurant. I do prefer higher quality Filipino foods, like Azons, Amboy and even LA Rose Cafe.

Great food, first time I ever had food from the Philippines and I was surprised. May be too salty or too sour for some but I enjoyed the food as it was something new and different for me. I gave it a 4 star because the service could be better.

Service was great! James was very friendly and helped us out with choosing our food since it was our first time and it was delicious. I also got the Chocalate Dream cake and it was super moist and not to sweet. Definitely would recommend.

On the weekends they have a breakfast buffet but on Sundays its Uber packed. The buffet is OK nothing really special but if your hungry and youre craving a large filipino breakfast for cheap this is the place to go.

This is one of my favorite places around the USC area. There is usually a long wait, but I think its worth it! I recommend the loaded hash browns, which is a secret menu item.
