Buh buh buh buh, I guess youre Brux what I needed! $5 coupon for email club members My first soiree into all things waffle, this Bruxie location is located in Downtown Brea. Ive kept telling myself to hit up the OG Orange location since it opened many moons ago, but nothing gave me the impetus to finally make the jaunt over there. Plus, hearing how bad parking is didnt motivate me ,either. With my fresh $5 coupon in hand & reading how the Brea location has decent parking, I visualized Kelly Clarkson singing "some people wait a lifetime, for a moment like this", as I made my way to Waffle Wonderland. Being in a meat coma for the past few days, what with grilling ribeyes on July 4 & then pork belly July 5, I knew I needed something light & refreshing. Enter the Smoked Salmon Lox & Dill Cream Cheese sammich ($8.50) Michel Cordon Bleu cold smoked salmon with herb cream cheese, cucumbers & chives. Crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside, the Belgian waffle was a delightful alternative to a baguette. The smoked salmon lox & cream cheese were tasty & refreshing, with the cucumbers adding a soothing texture to each bite. Chives perfectly complimenting the waffle sandwich. I was not disappointed. No, maam! I quite enjoyed the layout of the restaurant. No doors separating the outside from the in, with plentiful stool seating to have a quick meal. I was easily able to find 1 hour parking in front of Bruxie, but there are parking spaces available near the movie theater and other businesses. Service was good, as an employee let me sample their real sugar strawberry lemonade. First time, definitely not last time! I highly enjoyed my Smoked Salmon Lox waffle sandwich. I do believe its a tad overpriced, but my tastebuds, no doubt, enjoyed experiencing this delectable dish for the first time. Im greatly anticipating coming back & having a go at Bruxies other waffle wonderments. Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Who knew that a burger served in a crisscrossed and carby piece of heaven known as the waffle would transport me to a world unknown yet totally delightful in a combination of two classics... waffle. Burger. Yes waffle plus burger does indeed equal mind blown. As does waffle plus various types of chicken and ranch and bacon and avocado and so on and so forth. Basically, the point Im trying to make here is if you see a place that serves various types of meals in a waffle, its worth a try. My first was actually at a place called Qrious Palate (or something like that) in Long Beach, but the Bruxie chain is also super good. What I like about this particular location is the openness in downtown Brea so you can enjoy your delicious food as the world goes by. Normally I eat at morning or lunch so people are usually coming and going, unlike late evenings where DT Brea is buzzing with shoppers, movie goers, etc. This place seems to be more busy at night, but its great at any time of day. One word of advice though, if you get the fried chicken in any sort, either wait for a while to eat it, or poke it with something to let the heat out, because the steam and heat trapped inside the fried portion of the chicken is enough to turn your tongue into rubber and the roof of your mouth into ribbons and as such you will not appreciate the flavors that they have made for you because it burnt up your insides. However, that is my only word of caution. Go forth and try this place out. Seriously, what are you doing still reading this random stream of consciousness I am typing. Get up and go grab a burger in a waffle with a side of waffle fries like right now!

Wafflewiches at their best. Granted, theres not much competition, but the ones here are an absolute must try! The waffles were a perfect combination of light and airy yet crunchy. The batter isnt sweet, so it doesnt overwhelm the flavor of the savory "sandwiches." Dont be discouraged by the long lines or lack of seating, because this place is a WELL-OILED machine! If only all American companies were run with this precision, wed put China out of business. Bruxie conquests: Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream Cheese - ADDICTED. Simple, light and refreshing. Hot Pastrami Bruxie - LOVE. Slightly crisped edges on the pastrami kicks it up a notch. Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Waffle - Average. Corned Beef [Daily Special] - Liked the flavor, until the corned beef juices turned it into a soggy waffle mess... Irish Nachos (Waffle Fries) - Nothing spectacular but Im never one to say no to waffle fries! Try it, and youll be addicted. Cant wait to work my way through the rest of the menu! (In moderation, of course.)

i love this bruxie because theres more space to eat and shorter lines than the one in orange. Free 3hr parking behind old navy thats a block away! I didnt enjoy my tuna salad, it was pretty bland (long story short: I was on a strict diet). I should have gotten the grilled chicken one with mushrooms. Speaking of mushrooms, my friends got the sandwich with cheese and mushroom! SO GOOD!!! I love how tasty the mushrooms were!!! We all shared the irish nacho, which was good but I wasnt that impressed. Theyre waffle fries lightly drizzled with sourcream, cheese and bacon. For dessert I tried the frozen custard. I was expecting it to be more like custard pudding, not vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was soft and light with subtle custard flavor to it. It was good but I think its a bit pricey for what its worth.

I wanted to love Bruxie, I did. They do things right, fresh and quality ingredients, based around sweet and savory waffle dishes, it all sounds glorious. So we ended up getting a fried chicken and waffle sandwich, a smoked salmon and dill cream cheese sandwich, and some waffle fries. They were all okay. In my opinion, they werent great though. The smoked salmon and the fries (all five of them) were good, but the chicken left me perplexed. The buttermilk fried chicken had no hint of buttermilk and instead had an overwhelming seasoning of herbs and spices. It just didnt play well with the waffle. If youre in the area, its worth a try, otherwise, not something you need to go out of your way for.

I think Bruxie is one of the best "sliced bread" concepts of my generation. This location proudly carries the torch lit by the original in Old Town Orange. We fell in love with that one first, and have been to many of the other locations. We are so lucky to have one local in Huntington Beach, that one is also great, similar style to this one. The food is top notch, from the fried chicken and waffles, to the dessert waffles like the lemon cream and berry. Definitely dont skip the Irish nachos, or the sodas. If youre a Dr. Pepper fan the spiced cola (not at this location yet) is a wonderful spin on that flavor profile.

Came here with my friend the other day after hearing so much about it. Everything sounded so good, but I decided to go with the first thing on the menu cause thats always a safe choice! The buttermilk chicken and waffle is so good! The waffle does get a little soggy from the sauce thuogh. My friend got the Tuna melt and that was good as well! There is a nice big patio out front so seating is not a problem I went on a Wednesday Night and it wasnt crowded. Cant wait to come back and try some of the desserts!
