The food was so-so. They charged $2.95 for hot tea and it was a tea bag, so that was not great. Then, the service was sub-par. The restaurant was nearly empty and though we ordered 1st, we received our food last. When we brought it to the owners attention, he made us wait while he got his waiters side and then made excuses such as, "he only has two hands" and since we were at the same table as a group, the sushi chef makes everyones food at the same time though that doesnt explain why we got our food after the group at the same table that ordered last but... None of the excuses were convincing since we saw our waiter walk by the prepared and waiting sushi several times before he brought it to us. The owner said the waiter (Jose) has been with him 7 years but I think he should find better wait staff if he wants to be successful. He gave my mother a certificate for free food but I wont be back.

Well today it was 4 or 5 stars, usually its 3 stars but wow those scallops today wowowowow The scallops were savory. Usually its been mediocre and expensive but today it was delicious but just a bit expensive. I would prefer more ginger given. A tad limited when ordering if youre gluten-free, although Im told they have gluten free soy sauce. If you are gluten free, dont eat the salad. (And if you mention youre gluten free, theyll give you the salad without the dressing.) Fast and friendly service though. My lunch order was $13 for the menu option titled " "Scallops."

went here for a friends birthday, the Custer service was nice. The table service was very poor slow and not constant. The food was mediocre, I ordered the chicken teriyaki unfortunately it was dry, had hardly any taste. we order garlic fried rice which wasnt served but we were charged for (they fixed it). The only reason they got 2 stars is because the chefs performance was awesome! Also the waitress was kinda distracted and spilled water all over one of us. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

This place is amazing hands down . Over all I love it all!!!!! The food is so delicious and the service is the best!!!! Holly, Gil, waiter and the main chef are awesome. Best food around. Prices are a little high but what tepenyaki restaurant isnt? Also the tempura ice cream is the best Ive ever had. Clean, great service, nice staff, clean restrooms, great food, great for a date or groups , good drinks and great set up.

Our server provided average service. The garlic Noodle is in the salty side and the seaweed salad is extra sweet. The chicken karagee is good bite size for the kids and the shrimp tempura is prepared very well (crispy outside). We also liked their California roll.

Ive been coming here for a while. I make a point to bring out of town guests here. The service is good, the food is good, kid friendly atmosphere. If you join thier rewards program youll get coupons. I would recommend you giving this place a try.

I really hope that this place gets better. I know it is opening week, but the service could have been better. The sushi was not great, it was chewy. The noodles were very salty and and the chicken was dry. Will try it out again in a few weeks.

I think this is a really nice addition to Alameda. The food is tasty and fresh, served in a friendly atmosphere. All can be had for a reasonable price. I have enjoyed all our three visits so far.

I was really disappointed. I ordered medium rare steak and shrimp. The steak was well done and tough the shrimp was so overcooked and rubbery I could not even chew it! Very dissappionted!

Really fun for the family. Chefs are skilled at fire and flipping knives and food. Very entertaining. Steak, shrimp, scallops, and fried rice were tasty, but chicken was dry.
