I liked NOTHING about this place, despite how giddy i was for pizza prior to arriving. I had discovered the place online via some customer photos on yelp or something. The food looked tempting enough to make the trip. We walked in my party of 3 and I looking for the pizza we had saw online but was told it was over and out of season. We told the waiter we really wanted it because it was meat free and that we didnt eat meat. She suggested another pizza that we might like instead and we made our pick of two different pies and a large salad. Our pizzas are delivered not long after and we begin to dig in. After some time of chewing i notice the texture of the toppings is far too chewy and salty as well. One of my friends point out bacon on top one pie. I see anchovies in my half eaten slice. I spit my piece out and call the waiter. We tell her the pizzas werent what we wanted because they had meat on them. My friend asks could we get a refund since we didnt want them. The waitress says "well you ordered it sooo....?" Thats when I feel the need to speak up I can be very soft spoken but because its as if she was basically going to walk off without following up on our complaint about our order I had to speak a bit more sternly "We specifically stated that we did not eat meat so these pizzas were not what we came here for or what i intended to pay for. We want to switch the pizzas or get a refund". She gives off a weak attemp to "help" going to speak with her manager. I let her know that I would like to speak with the manager. I see her go off and begin speaking to him alone. She comes back and says that they will have the other pizzas right out. I did not get to speak with the manager. I ask a waiter walking the floor to remove the meat lovers pizzas from our tables He takes one and leaves the other I ask him when i see him walk past our table multiple times to take the other. He does not so I set it on a table adjacent mines. By then I was completely fed up with the docile/unattentive staff to set still. They came with one pizza and we had to ask after eating that one where our other pizza was. The aimless walking waiter was confused when we asked him but he mustve told the cook because long after we got the pizza by then I was walking out the door with my mind made up that I wouldnt be returning. I told my party to enjoy the food while I ran across the street to a smoothie spot to quench my hunger and thirst. My first and last time going here.

3 wks ago I ordered a salad from the Little Rock Location. It was awesome!! Customer service was great. The young lady who made my salad was awesome!! Today I returned. I would not call them busy but steady at the time. I ordered a "Greek Cafe" minus the feta, onion and chick peas. I asked to add Strawberries, capers and Grilled Shrimp. I asked for a full salad. Along with full Greek with Chicken. Well.... I guess it was too much to handle. It was way too many people handling the order. Instead of keeping the assembly line going as far as making the salads. The salad makers who started my salad moved out of place. To start on something else. Which caused my salad to be lost in the shuffle. My salad was not a full and No Shrimp. I noticed the mistake as the salad was bagged. I asked was shrimp added to the salad. Someone yells "oh yeah thats a small shrimp" I then reply it was a full salad so is salad made full or small. The server who is cashing me out says "we didnt charge you for it." Totally missing the point. So I asked again "is this a full or small salad?" I guess the guy who tried to save the day was the manager says "is looks like a full." Although, in the same sentence they are telling me they have an order of shrimp for a small salad which suppose my salad. So they screwed up. They gave me the Shrimp and a free salad card. I hate when I order out and the order is screwed up. I instantly lose my appetite. So here are some suggestions...... If you start the salad finish it. Instead of a random server walking up to complete the transaction. Especially, if you dont plan on communicating properly with your relief. The customer is always right in this situation. If I explained I order shrimp for my Salad and the mistake was made by the staff. I dont want to hear. We didnt charge you for it. Because if I am calling it to your attention I obviously wanted Shrimp. Dont make the customer feel like they are the problem. When your staff made the mistake!!!!!

I think ZaZas is suffering from a lack of management or something. This place needs a shake-up. Ive been here many times since it opened, even though I live out of town. Ive even been to the Conway location. I am also in the wood-fired brick oven pizza business. Friends in Little Rock ordered to go pizza and salads while I was arriving to their house. Mine was the only pizza order, and I just ordered cheese since I didnt have a menu in front of me. The salads were great as usual, and the extra order of wings was a lovely bonus. However, my pizza crust was severely lacking. The pizza was cooked, but just barely. The edge crust was browned, but the bottom was completely white, without the tell-tale leoparding of a wood-fired oven. I was disappointed. The person who picked up our order said they were really really busy that night. The only thing I can think of, being in the business, is that they were churning out pizzas by the dozen, and the oven floor had been depleted of heat enough that it just didnt have the ability to char the crust as it should. An experienced pizzaiolo would account for that and slow the pace, rather then serve an underdone pizza. Perhaps ZaZas is suffering from management fatigue. They need to double-down on their quality and training if theyre going to stay the great pizza joint I know it once was.

I wanted to dine in, there were a group of elderly people looking at the menu. I waited a while trying to see if they were being helped. They were not. I waited even longer as more people lined up behind me lets call it 8 more people. Still no one at the counter to take orders. Guy in the kitchen notices and looks like he is trying to call someone but no one showed up. So i walked out. Very poor representation, no one there to take an order much less greet you when you walk in.

Food is usually pretty good. I wouldnt call the service good - more or less buddy buddy club behind the counter with nary a manager in sight. People behind the counters discussing critical food safety violations in front of customers. Sure you change that dressing after you drop stuff in it, and adding a splash guard just "makes one more thing for me to clean at night". I bet ADH would love hearing that as they write out the ticket.
