I live in Hillcrest and occasionally roast my own coffee beans because I insist on drinking high quality coffee at home. When I dont feel like roasting or cant roast for some reason I head over to River City Coffee because I know they will have high quality coffee varieties that are recently roasted. Just compare a cup of their coffee with off-the-shelf coffee beans you can buy at Starbucks and you will notice a big difference. The shop is inviting and comfortable if you just want to sit and enjoy a cup of your favorite brew and a pastry. The baristas are highly knowledgeable and happy to engage in coffee talk.

Swung through on the way across country and was super happy to run across this place- The owner was super cool and helpful outside of just serving very VERY good coffee (and I have been to a few cafes in my day). He gave me places to bike around and explained the layout of the neighborhood. The vibe was excellent and the chairs outside were comfy. The neighborhood is fairly quiet and in general I just had an excellent experience swinging through for a cup. Will definitely visit again when in Little Rock.

As the owner of the new (location and owners) River City Coffee, I cant help but give our establishment 5 stars. The drinks are incredible, the environment is open and airy, and our baristas are talented and accommodating. I am proud to call River City Coffee my own, along with my husband. Bring your music (CD or vinyl), your thirst, your computer (free wifi), your dog (water bowl inside and outside), and get ready for a latte attention and fun. Community and coffee/tea coming together at 2913 Kavanaugh.

my favorite coffee shop in little rock! unassuming, incredibly welcoming, damn good coffee, constantly supporting local artists, good music / open record player, wifi, and its run by real good peoples. theres nothing not to like about this place, definitely get a cup of joe here if youre in town. they also have food and ice cream for those with a sweet tooth!

Chill, good taste in music, and locally roasted coffee. River City represents an important piece of Hillcrest and reflects the areas modern, artistic culture. Ive met many of my friends at this eclectic little shop. I recommend getting a latte or trying one of the daily drip coffees.

My favorite coffee shop. And the people who work there are really friendly and the environment is homey and comfortable. Theyve also got a great music selection. The coffee is great and so is the pastry collection, along with my personal favorite, their smoothies.

Awesome place! Great vibe when you walk in--dimly lit with comfy furniture and coffee smell. This is a great place to try something new or get your regular. Sweet people and it is right next to a great little shop too. Love this place :)

Best Black and White Ive had since leaving the West Coast! AND, they are quick! I love this place. Staff is always great and I love that I can bring my dog! After 3-4 barks, he lays down and sleeps. I also buy my coffee here.

Our favorite coffee shop! It is warm and comfortable with a wide variety of teas and chocolates. Each barista has their own specialty so if you have the time make sure to ask them. Definitely worth it.
