I am all for supporting local businesses and go out of my way to do so. BUT, in this case it was a major mistake. I went to sausage deli on a Saturday at about noon and the customer service is just awful. We walked in and werent greeted which is fine, so we proceeded to the counter to order. This skinny snotty Black chick took our order and you could tell she hated working there. Then instead of telling us, oh you can have a seat and we will call you when it is ready, we just stood there. We didnt know if we sit down or we wait. Four other people too were just standing there looking at each other asking do we wait or sit down. The idiot girl seeing this, just ignored everyone and even other workers did the same. So, we get our food and sit down and the food is OK, not earth shattering but its acceptable. If you expect to survive with Jimmy Johns, Eegees, and Subway in town you need better customer service. As for me, I tried it, it sucked, now I will go to back to Jimmy Johns where I am treated like a valued customer.

This review is based on my one-sub experience, and I dont want to exaggerate my experience the way my ex-wife did at one time when she complained to the manager of a pizza establishment that the delivery she ordered was so cold on arrival that it had icicles on it. Nevertheless, I was completely dissatisfied with the sub I ordered. It was a heated sub that I assumed would be toasted, but was obviously nuked to death. When I got it back to the office the sub roll was tough, damp and ruined what ingredient-wise should have been a decent meal. BTW, my office is less than 10 minutes away, near Speedway and Stone. It was not like it sat for an hour before I got to it. I cant imagine that anyplace that has been in business for 36 years can be all bad, especially when one considers the amount of business going in and out the door, but I would shy away from anything advertised as heated. Bread and microwaves do not go well together.

By far the best roast beef deli meat in the world... Cooked rare, seasoned beautifully, and also available by the pound, if your mouth isnt watering yet, you desperately need to stop by, and be sure to tell em Andrew sent you! Local management at its finest - Chris and his team (shoutout to Mike!) know how to transport you to sandwich nirvana. To top off this review, their beer selection is stellar, and their new dropped to order fries are a perfect companion for your Black Dog, Omar, Susie Sorority, or my personal concoction of meat and fresh veggies. You cant go wrong here. Seriously.

Wheres the sausage? On Saturday we walked in expecting to be able to purchase a sausage sandwich or meal. We were told by the staff that there is no sausage on Saturday. Sausage is only available on Wednesdays. Why then would someone name their business "Sausage Deli"? We did not purchase anything. We felt mislead by the name. So, my advice, dont go there looking for sausage - except on Wednesdays.

I love sausage deli. I used to live in the PNW and when ever I came to visit, I would make sure to get sausage deli at least twice. Now we live in Tucson and eat there all the time. My daughter thought that all sandwich places were like sausage deli and always wants a Susie sorority. You can never go wrong with the grinder or the bismark.

Some of you reviewers complain about some of the craziest things. Sausage deli gets packed sorry if they cant acknowledge each and every customer. For the guy complaining about being mislead about not being able to get sausage on a Saturday and not buying nothing because that upset you ur clearly worried about the dumbest things in life

The Omar is accurately described as "Crack on a Bun" by the employees of Sausage Deli. I have dreams about it. BEWARE! Sausage Deli is NOT open on Sundays. Their website reflects this, but googles little summary says they are open from 12:00-5:00 on Sundays. I was so disapointed when I got there and they were closed.

A Tucson tradition! I have been going to "the deli" for about 10 years now, ever since college. The sandwiches have remained large and so very tasty over all of the years. My favorite is the grinder, but any of their specialities are great! Highly recommended for any Tucsonian or Wildcats fan.

Sausage Deli is a great place where U of A students come to hang out constantly; and for a good reason. The sandwiches here are made with such care and expertise that combined with some good ol Poore Brothers chips makes and unforgettable lunch experience.

Suzy Sorority on sourdough. Get it. Love it. Also the Omar is amazing. Cannot recommend the Sausage Deli in the new building enough. Support local business as long as they are good of course and this one is. Tucson Local of 26 years.

Two years in tucson and this is the first decent sub shop (outside of frankies cheese steaks) that Ive found, it may be the only one. Beyond bread has good sandwiches, but theyve got nothing if you want a sub.

My wife and I from New York and this is the only place in Tucson that reminds me of a real New Yorks deli. The italian grinder is delicious and we can easily made it 2 meals. Got to love them

I will drive 20 minutes, one way, when I get a craving for their sandwiches. Really great ingredients, fast service. You have to plan carefully, they have fairly short hours.

Ive been getting lunch here for years. Ive never been disappointed with the food or the service. You have to try the potato salad. 100X better than a chain sub shop.

I have been here two times and both times the sandwiches seem to be bland and rather ordinary ......nothing unique. I dont think I will give it a third try

Consistently top quality food and good service. Have been eating here for over two decades. New building is much nicer than the original one.

I try to eat at the Sausage Deli every time I visit Tucson. My fave is the Omar (lots of mustard). Not a lot of seating inside.
