Golden Dragon Chinese Resturaunt on Oracle has the best service, food, and cleanest establishment in Tucson. The same amazing family and friendly staff have always made the place feel like home to me and my family and friends. If you do not enjoy second rate buffet style warmed over food with over ciggarette smoking under attentive employees, then this is the place for you. They do not offer buffet, but have very reasonable prices all day with great lunch specials. You can taste the love and care stir fried into each and every dish. But just incase, Mom always stops by multiple times each visit to verify the meal is prepared to your liking. It feels like each employee I have been meticulously served by over the years must be part owners of the business, as they always inquire your every desire, execute service, and conduct business as if they truly care how well you enjoy your experience. For over 15 years I have had the pleasure of being fed with thier awesome food and fueled by thier positive energy and vibes each and every time. I would most definitely recommend the hot and sour soup, vegetarian egg rolls, mu shu pork, warr wonton soup, sesame chicken, khan spicy beef and shrimp, and pork lo mein all day any and every day! If you like spicy and need some sinus therapy, just ask for their made fresh in house crushed chili in oil and spicy mustard. The chili special sauce goes great on anything, but if you can find the perfect blend of chili mustard and soy sauce atop your vegitarian egg roll, the result is a taste bud trip to Heaven (Zen) every time! You can trust me, I have never been a khan man, except when it comes to GDs spicy beef and shrimp! Dont believe me, well then I suggest you come on down and prove me wrong. There are a few Golden Dragon locations around Tucson as it has been a staple here in town for years. I grew up right up the street from this Oracle Road location, but even though I have since moved farther down into town, I will always drive past the others on my way to this one. I have found that all Golden Dragons are not created equally! No offence Swan and Sunrise but it just doesnt taste quite as delightful east of Arizona State Route 77 aka Oracle Road. I was born in the bay area of California, and this is my favorite Chinese Resturaunt I have found in my many travels since leaving the Bay. Also my 13 year old four legged son Pepe just so happens to be Pekingese, so I am practically an expert on these things. Like most Americans I seldome miss a meal... but I NEVER miss a chance to fill my belly and spirit with Golden Dragon, the true SOUL food!

Although we have only been going to Golden Dragon for approximately 5 years, we have never been disappointed. Generally we arrive during the lunch timeframe and get to choose from their lunch specials. Wife and daughter try different things, I normally get the Cashew Chicken and add snow peas. We always get a few orders of egg rolls. If I am out running errands and in the area, I always stop. I walk in the door and they know what I order, ask if I want the same and I sit down. Drink arrives, soup arrives, egg rolls arrive and main entree arrives, all in a well spaced sequence so as not to crowd the table. When the three of us go, its the same routine, the two ladies ask if we want the same thing as last time and tell us what we normally get to verify our order. We have always had great and friendly service.

I was very disappointed with this place, Long ago I used to live near Golden dragon years ago and the food was always very good, those owners do not own it now and the food is just awful. I ordered just under 70$ worth of food on 3/6/2017 to go, I was surprised of how fast they got my order together, it took less then 2-minitus for 5-dinners a combo appetizer. not one bit was edible, The man who took my order went to the back of kitchen and filled my order with food that should have been thrown out. every bit was as if it were cook weeks ago, it was stale, old food most likely left over from a buffet that was too old to serve to customers who would eat it their and they decided to pass it off onto me. Never again will I eat at this place, and I would caution anyone from trying it.

I would give this restaurant 1 star if not for the fact that it has some of the best hot & sour, and wanton soups in Tucson. Stay away from the vegetarian chow fun though. When I opened the package at home, I discovered there were no proper vegetables in it! There were just bean sprouts, a few green onions, and mushrooms (canned, sliced - not even fresh mushrooms)! It was like ordering the beef / chicken / shrimp chow fun, minus the beef / chicken / shrimp! When I called to complain, I was told that if I wanted vegetables in the noodles, I had to ask for them separately! (and there would be an extra charge) That is the MOST ridiculous thing I have ever heard!! Management needs to get with the program ASAP and improve the vegetarian offerings on the menu!

I review things very rarely. I have a bit of a 1984 complex... the less my name exists on the internet the happier I am (there are plenty of things I LOVE but dont review). So it actually means a lot for me to publish a review, but having ordered Golden Dragon for more than 5 years it felt very much time to give "credit where credit is due." This is a fantastic restaurant. And the best Chinese food I have ever had in Tucson. The food is excellent; as is their customer service. I truly appreciate them. I highly recommend the Shrimp With Spicy Salt (they now know who wrote this... ^_^;) Thank you Golden Dragon!

Not good. The worst General Tsos Chicken Ive ever had. It was tough and completely flavorless (both the seasoning and the chicken itself). Just tasted like very low quality chicken with some salt and corn syrup. The Shrimp Lo Mein had okay flavor, but it was slimy and the noodles were all mushy. The egg rolls were not very good and were mushy and mostly starch. Tasted like theyd been sitting under a warmer all day. The plain white rice was the only thing I enjoyed eating. Panda Express is way ahead of this food, Im sorry to say. The service was okay.

Ordered online. I was almost there to pick up when they called and told me that they were out of calamari (one of the main reasons I ordered there) 2 stars because they were nice and apologetic and refunded the $ for it. I also ordered steamed dumplings and received fried and the Mongolian beef had hardly any onions and was very bland. I also waited 15 minutes past my pick up time for the food. I will not be ordering from here again.

We were struck by the cleanliness and lovely photo mural. Service was prompt and attentive. Chinese food was better than average for the area, especially the meats, soup and generous portions, but we noticed some of the vegetables such as the baby corn were old and mushrooms can-sliced in the Chop Suey. Chop Suey sauce seemed fine to me but my husband thought it was off. We will go back to sample different dishes.
