My girlfriend and I had eaten here several times before, and the food is always pretty good and the service is alright. All in all, on dine in Id give the place about 3 stars, but tonight was horrible. My girlfriend was tired, so we placed our order to go. Before this they had made mistakes before, like forgetting beans in bean burritos (I swear to god) and giving us the wrong sides. I came in and picked up the order. I got home with the food, and found out that they had not given me my guacamole or sour cream for my Chimmi changa, so it was just a dry chimmi. I call them back and the hostess gets me the manager. She says she will take care of me next time I am in there and that they cant help me tonight. Additionally, she blames the fact there is no guac or sour cream on my girlfriend who placed the order. I was right there when she placed the order and guac or sour cream was never mentioned. The manager, who didnt even take the order totally lied and said she couldnt help me. I protested and she said to come in then and they would fix it. I went in and found the manager didnt even start making it until I got there. I had to wait ten minutes while they remade the dinner that they messed up. Between their mess up and treating me like crap and blatantly lying I will never eat here again, I recommend you dont either.

Going into this place we werent greeted, just stared at. Asked to be seated, the 3 firls at front seemed flustered. Come to find out there was a pretty heated situation with a man and his Family. Granted this was FATHERS DAY. We felt it was going ro be easier to sit in the bar area. Horrible service!! Dried out chicken, No silverwear to eat with, forget a refil on a beer let alone my water. My husband amd I were having to practically raise our hands and ask anyone that crosses our paths for everything we ahould have been provided with. Not to mention they were stacking chairs on tables while we were eating. All around No good service. Highly dissapointed! This was a night out for Fathers Day as well as my Birthday. Would also like to mention we both had bad stomach aches before we could make it out the door.

After conquering the heavy door to get in, customers are greeted with a dark decor and desert scenes hand-painted on the wall as well as friendly hostesses. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and add to the authentic Mexican experience. The chips and salsa are fantastic, the food better than average, and the portions are more than filling. My favorite meal is the Pollo Especial, which, despite being called a burrito, resembles a chimichanga smothered in sour cream and green sauce and is generous enough to save half for leftovers. I was disappointed with the guacamole on the several occasions I had it, which tastes store-bought and is not worth the price.

2nd review 1.2.17 Food good as always. The chicken in the fajita was the best yet. The one recoveted seat/bench looked nice but no padding, you still feel like you are sitting in a hole. People under 54" feel like they are little kids sitting at the grown-ups table. I really like the food but booth seats are terrible. I do prefer a booth over a table but may have to sit at the tables. 2016 Not "real" mexican food with hand made tortillas. But this is good food, the fajita is great, it could feed 2 people. Its a little bit $$$ but servers are pretty nice. I did have a young woman serve me that had no clue to what she was doing. Great margaritas....

The parking lot is probably the worst thing about this place as often times youll have to park in the dirt across the street since the parking is very small. Service here is usually pretty good and this has been the only Rio Mirage around the cities Ive been to so far where a hair has not been found in my food. The atmosphere is cozy and clean although some parts of the building appear to be aging. The real reason we continue to come here though is because the food has been pretty great each and every time and the service is very consistent as far timely service and friendly staff.

Took my wife out for lunch today Saturday to Rio Mirage Café, Surprise, AZ. The food was very good hot and fresh. The service was very very poor! Had to ask for everything twice and still waited awhile before someone came back to our table. There were employees everywhere but no one stopped by our table to ask is there anything you need or how’s your food? This was our first visit and last, food was good service was Bad! Paid $26.17 for two lunches with no drinks a little on the high side for having such poor service.

Good food, service and atmosphere. Chips and salsa are top notch! Just a tip for salsa lovers, they dont tell you about it nor do they offer it to you but if you ask for some of the hotter salsa you wont regret it! Size is the only issue here... The tables, booths... the whole place in general is a bit cramped. 5 stars if portions werent fast food-esque. When i order a $12 combo plate and the star of the show is 2 tacos... i need to be impressed with said tacos. No issues with flavor!

For years, Rio Mirage has held a consistent standard of quality service, amazing food, and an overall excellent dining experience. Whether its for a quick lunch, family dinner with the kids, or date night with some of those outstanding Rio Margaritas, it truly is a place to meet all of your authentic Mexican dining needs. The El Rico burrito (I prefer mine with shrimp) is a particularly noteworthy choice from their wide variety menu.

Saturday, February 13th, 2016 Our food was good, However my main reason for writing a review was to commend one of your wait staff, Roxanne (810). She was very friendly, and went out of her way to assist us,making our visit enjoyable. This was our first visit since moving here from MN. She promoted and represented your business well. Kuddos Roxanne!

Should have left when we were sitting waiting to order and the smell of urine wafted by. This happened about every 5 minutes. I ordered the carne asada and it was super bland. I dont think they used even salt or pepper when they cooked it. It had onions and peppers but it was seriously the worst mexican food experience I have ever had.

I been here a few times just this month alone. As a big Mexican Food fan, I think this is easily the best one in the area. Prices are a bit high, but the service and food makes up for it. Try the "Bombero" plate, it is fantastic. I have it all the time there. M girlfriend loves their margaritas, pretty on point.

First time here and definitely will be returning!! Service from our server, Maria, was excellent and quick. I ordered the spinach and chicken enchiladas and YUMMMM. Husband ordered the machaca chimichanga with jalapeno cream cheese which was fantastic as well!! Cannot wait to come again to try more food!
